missouri, north carolina and illinois. correspondent don champion tells us which candidates are battling to stay in the race. >> the face of the republican presidential race could change today, as voters cast ballots on primary day in florida, ohio, illinois, north carolina, and missouri. >> your governor is totally overrated. >> gop frontrunner donald trump leads the polls in every state except ohio, where he is in a virtual tie with the state's popular governor john kasich. he voted this morning and said he feels proud of his campaign. >> by continuing to run the race, the positive campaign is now started to shine through. >> here in florida, marco rubio political future is on the line at polling places like this. the senator predicted a win in his home state, but is way behind in the polls. >> this state will elect 999 delegates for one person. i want it to be me and i need you to help it be me.

>> cruz may has his bet shot at winning in illinois where the latest cbs battle ground tracker has the senator within striking distance of trump. meanwhile on the democratic side, bernie sanders trying to pull off another midwest upset against hillary clinton, the vermont senator is making a run for missouri, ohio and illinois, where he has campaigned heavily in chicago. >> in the states coming down the pike, we have great opportunities to win many of them. so we're feeling really good. >> but clinton has a big lead in florida, a winner take allstate with 214 delegates up for grabs. in miami, don champion, for cbs-3, "eyewitness news". now the deadline to register to vote in local primaries is fast approaching. voters in pennsylvania, have until march 28th, the last day to register in delaware is april 2nd, and in urge new jersey, it is may 17th. primary day in pennsylvania and delaware is the same day april 26th. and new jersey holds its primary on june 7th. stay with "eyewitness news" for continuing coverage of campaign 2016.

the roof area of the restaurant. >> meantime heavy smoke forced guests at the attached days inn from their bed, some from the fire alarms others by firefighters banking on doors. >> we just heard the alarm go on and off. then i just got out. >> i felt like somebody was coming through my door they was banking so hard. but we got out, as long as i got my baby out, i don't care about nothing else. >> the smoke was ventilated from the hotel, and guests were allowed back inside early this morning, the concern now get that smokey smell out of dozens of rooms, and of course cleaning up the mess here at the diner. employees are now wondering how long they'll be out of work. >> even though it is damaged right now, lives saved, nobody judder, that's the main thing, nobody was hurt. >> the cause of the fire is still under investigation. in chester, jan carabeo, cbs-3, "eyewitness news". tredyffrin township police hope that you can help them identify the person behind a hollow wean mask who tied up, threatened and then robbed a homeowner early saturday morning.

we have a grainy photo right here on the right. it was taken at a wells fargo bank atm on the 700 block of west lancaster avenue. police believe the photo on the left right there is the type of latex mask with a baseball cap attached that the suspect wore from the robbery scene on crestline road to the devon square shopping center. now, police are also hoping you can help them track down the suspect who rubedo robbed then threat toned burn down building in fishtown. >> this happened sunday morning, that suspect right there used baseball bat to break the door at a philadelphia brotherhood mission on east girard avenue, and then chased the witnesses. another hit, a man who with a cane, then lit a plastic bag on fire and through it at him. that suspect allegedly shouted he would be back to burn the building down. if you know anything about this, you are asked to call police right away. the search is on for three suspects who burglarized tropicana bar in brewerytown last tuesday. police say the men broke in by

publisher found this font developed by a dad in holland. it makes, can you see it? it makes children, it makes your eye very friendly with the page. >> good word for it, because as somebody who is dyslexic, i know hank is, it makes it easier to read. >> absolutely. and the words used to swim across the page. when i was a little boy. did i not read a book until i was in my 30's. >> really? >> i was so intimidated by reading. so this, what is great about these books, what i love, kids find them funny, and then they say how do you know me so well? because we don't talk down to the kids. the emotion is what i lived when i was growing up. when i'm walking around lynn's offers and talking about hank i can become a very emotional how good it was this school. >> absolutely, dow want to share, i had the pleasure of reading this this morning, i know you have a pass ankle for our viewers, little taste of it.
