for cbs-3 "eyewitness news". now in other news tonight more surveillance video is disturbing. the right the now search is on for masked gunman responsible for a string of violent robberies, in philadelphia. "eyewitness news" reporter rahel solomon joins us from police headquarters with more of the video, that can provide clues in the manhunt, rahel, good evening. >> reporter: ukee, good evening. philadelphia police say they are relieved that no one has been seriously hurt, yet. but they say the two suspects are armed, believed to be very dangerous, and they want to get them off of the streets before someone is hurt. heavily armed, faces covered by masks, they are hard to miss, yet police say these two have already struck twice. >> without a doubt it is a very serious situation and two guys very dangerous to have that type of fire power. >> reporter: first half in wednesday, march 2nd, authorities say two victims were wait fog their food at silver star kitchen on the 1400 vernon road when suspect barged in, forced them to the

ground and robbed the two. >> if you are a victim standing there and looking down barrel of the shotgun or barrel of that, semiautomatic, again, it is something that i can only imagine, people must be terrified. >> reporter: terror continued the afternoon of march 14th, the same two suspects broke in the reyes grocery store on the 2100 shelled even avenue and this time they are seen assaulting a worker before robbing a store. >> two very dangerous individual, armed with fire power, weapons that can kill, you know, and that is our main concern to get them off the street. >> reporter: now two incidents happened in the west oak lane and ogontz section of the city. philadelphia police believe they may have be from those neighborhoods so they are hoping that someone who either recognized their clothing or knows anything about these incident gives them a call. reporting from police headquarters, rahel solomon for cbs-3 "eyewitness news". >> thank you. surveillance video now of a robbery fishtown.

two suspects broke in the philadelphia brotherhood mission on east girard avenue sunday morning. one suspect, used a baseball bat to break the glass door and then chased the victim on the street and hit him with that bat. the suspect even used the victim's own kane begins him before lighting a plastic bag on fire and throwing it the at the victim. the victim was hospitalized for his injuries. philadelphia police are looking for three suspects broke into a brewerytown bar by smashing through the wall from a vacant building next door. the surveillance video from last tuesday, of the tropicana baron north 29th street. those suspects got the away with cash, juke box and change machine. if you recognize them call 911. authorities are investigating a cause have the the fire that destroyed a delaware county diner two. alarm fire ripped through the grape leaves diner on edgemont avenue in chester just before 3:00 a.m. the diner is attached to the days inn. the hotel had to be evacuated as the most of the guests were

sleeping. >> i thought somebody was coming through my door they were banging so hard, but we got out, as long as i got my baby out, i don't care about nothing else. >> guests were allowed back in the hotel, no one was injured in the fire. taking a look at the weather, now, another gray day across the region as we dealt with more showers. "eyewitness news" in glenside, montgomery county and those out and about today, had that jacket on, and maybe umbrella handy just in case. meteorologist kate bilo is live on the cb the s3 sky deck with more on what we can expect as we go forward, kate. >> jessica, you will remember my forecast yesterday was for late the day breaks of sun and i said luckily the evening lasts longer, some daylight and i'm out here, on the sky deck looking for my forecasted breaks of sun and seeing a little bit of blue sky over center city philadelphia still a few sprinkles here and there but i do think you'll see a few breaks possibly before the day is out. with that said just remember it as a cloudy, glummy, gray day. look at one spot off to the north and west in kutztown on the live neighborhood network starting to see a few breaks

in the cloud cover there but those cloud hung on for most of the the day and that has kept temperatures on the chilly side. only 50 degrees there at the moment. storm scan three shows today not a wash out but we had a few showers rotate through. still a few sprinkles, green showing up, one area over montgomery county, other shower over burlington county at the moment but zooming out you can see once we get rid of the the cloud bank and showers move out we are sitting in some dry air, for at least the next 12 to 24 hours or so, i do think we will have a chance for showers, again tomorrow. but temperatures, will be on their way up. in the meantime temperatures right now are still on the chilly side, seasonal for march but we have not been seasonal so, it it does feel chilly, 52 in philadelphia. 54 degrees in allentown 567893 lancaster. fifty-six, down in dover. but tomorrow if we get enough sunshine to break through clouds temperatures could make a run toward 70 degrees. i will have your forecast for tomorrow and cools down as we head toward upcoming weekend and more shower chances to go over the forecast to help you

on the cbs-3 healthwatch tonight dyslexia, millions of people have reading disability and tonight, a new invention that might help, and an actor with a message of hope with children, who are struggling with the problem. >> health reporter, stephanie stahl is here with more on all of this. >> reporter: we have two front for you, because dyslexia can interfere with learning, children with the disability often develop problems with self esteem. well, tonight potential help on two front. >> this is you cannot drink a meat ball through a straw. >> reporter: i love that title. the fonz on book tore with the latest on helping children with learning challenges. >> hank is me. he is short for henry. >> reporter: henry winkler the actor from happy days was diagnosed with dyslexia as an adult, it is a learning disability that makes it hard to read, write, spell and pronounce word. >> my mission is to let

everyone know. i was told i would never achieve. i'm having a good life. >> reporter: jamie miller also suffers from dyslexia along with her husband they invented a pen to help people with the disability. >> it came to her from a childhood experience that she had, her mom would read a page and she would read a page. she would follow long as her mom read. >> reporter: it helps people with dyslexia by reading text out loud through a small blue tooth ear pizzas the pen scrolls along. >> there is a lot of things that can read digital text but not a whole lot of stuff available to help people read printed text. >> reporter: jamie says having a pen as a child would have made all of the difference. >> the world in books are something that as a dyslexic, i would have definitely been a whole library full of books had i had had it. >> reporter: jamie and her husband are in the final stages of getting their pen the on the market and winkler's book is available

cloud cover and, of course, it the stays light for the next two hours or so, so we may end up with a pretty decent evening outside after a, dreary, gray day with road spray slowing things down all across the region. it is dry, warm. warm air lurking off to the south and west, eventually gets the in tomorrow but while at one point i thought the we could hit 70 tomorrow, now it is unlikely because we have more clouds in the afternoon and line of showers that could impact the area for at first a stray sprinkle but now showers are more organized tomorrow afternoon. we will get the close. we will be in the 60's tomorrow. it will be a warmer day. we will see more sun then we have been seeing. temperatures right now 62 degrees in philadelphia 54 in allentown. fifty-three in reading. fifty-six in dover. warming up a little bit off to the west where we are seeing breaks in the cloud cover at the moment but as i mention that had warm air just lurking off to the south. if only we can tap into temperatures in the upper 70's in st. louis and lexington, kentucky at the moment. future weather shows it is dried but cloud issues through overnight hours. it will be mild, temperatures will hold in the upper 40's.

tomorrow we will start off with some clouds, also a few breaks of sun and that is how day will be. it is in the a sunny take but it will be partly sunny. we will see more sun then the past few days. watch another line of showers drifting through heading in to your wednesday evening, and it is not a total wash out but scattered showers for wednesday evening commute. that clears out. thursday starts off promising with a good deal of sunshine for st. patrick's day but another bank of cloud around noon and another chance for showers, thursday afternoon into thursday evening. we just can't get rid of the chance for showers this week. 40 percent chance of showers tomorrow, we are at the 40 percent gannon thursday. even threw 10 percent chance of showers in on friday as yet another system off to the north could send down a stay sprinkle, mostly dry, saturday looks like the one dry day in the the forecast and then we are back to rain chances starting on sunday. as far as overnight hours tonight it will be generally clear, breaks in the cloud cover we will call it mostly cloudy, cool at 47. wind north at five to 10 miles an hour, tomorrow not a bad day, sunshine, milder day, 68

the nun whose name is synonymous were being a saint business to become one. we will show you how mother teresa's legacy is helping the poor live on, in our area.
