cbsphilly.com. the former cfo of visit philadelphia is accused of ripping off the tourism organization she worked for allegedly stealing hundreds of thousands of dollars for her own enjoyment. "eyewitness news" reporter walt hunter joining us live right now in the cbs-3 satellite center on the details of the investigation, walt? >> reporter: erika, the grand jury report didn't mince any words blaming negligence and lack of oversight at visit philadelphia for allowing joyce former cfo of that organization to em asbestos he will $200,000 over more than six years. joyce levick, former chief financial officer for visit philadelphia, now faces criminal charges of embezzling $200,000 from the regional non-profit tour promotion agency is. >> visit philadelphia let joyce levit watch the ledger books and $200,000 of the agency's money charged out the door. >> levit, according to grand jury findings, allegedly spent

19,470 of the agency's money at high-end restaurant, more than 18,000 at bj's and cosco, 4100 at a skin care facility, and more than 1500 at a new york furrier. >> between june of 2007 through april of 2011 levit wrote 20 checks totaling $83,632 to cover her personal expenses made payable to visa with a signature stamp. >> levit, quoted in a 2014 inquirer article, saying she had paid back all of the money, surrendered this morning. meanwhile, seeking tighter control over hotel tax money which funds visit philadelphia, the d.a. says he's discussed those financial coals with mayor kenney. >> i spoke with mayor kenney. this week to update him about today's announcement. and he looks forward to cooperating and ensuring that

the board of directors of visit philadelphia is in compliance and that the taxpayers money is protected moving forward. >> now, as levit awaits arraignment her attorney has emailed cbs-3 in response to our inquiries saying this was basically an employee-employer dispute, and four years ago levit returned all the money so the taxpayers basically have not suffered anything from her alleged theft. meanwhile, visit philadelphia is also promising a us a statement. we haven't received it yet, but will include it with all of our follow up coverage on this developing story. live from the sat center, walt hunter, cbs-3 "eyewitness news". >> walt, thank you, meeting with parent will be held tonight at north philadelphia high school after a ninth grader dice from bacterial meningitis. grief counselors are spending the day at george washington carver high school of engineering and science. school officials say a 15 year old student died yesterday. that meeting will address parents concerns about the illness and their own children. that meeting start at

6:00 tonight. >> all right, look to go our forecast, finally seeing some sun, but don't get too excited. want to check in with katie out on the skydeck. not sticking around? >> looks like we could see a shower today, but does feel very mild out here on the cbs-3 skydeck, not the brightest, blue he is sky we've ever seen, but definitely sunshine peaking through. that's what's going to help warm things up for us, already pretty mild out here as we sort of hit the lunch hour. quick peak at what's happening on storm scan3, right now, frankly, not heck of a lot. you can see with the satellite coverage brighter spots than others, and all do you have do is zoom it out, so moisture bringing in of the scattered variety of showers back through western pa that's going to lift through eventually bring us our spotty shower chance later today. specially toward night fall. but here is where we stand. specially across the pinelands, little brighter. already at 64 degrees, not bad, 62 at philadelphia international airport, 62 in wilmington, the list goes on,

62 being reported out at palmyra right now. as we move forward in this forecast today, we are still banking on upper 60s, but again, spotty, key word spotty late day shower at worse for us, folks. down along the shore towns likely just stay stuck with sunshine here, nice afternoon, all things considered. looking forward we start to see these temperatures take a dive. so you want to stick with us for the full seven day forecast and just see low we go possibly even the threat of snowflakes. well, we will talk about it coming up, erika. >> if we must, katie, thank you. two of the three philly schools headed to the ncaa march madness basketball tournament leaves this afternoon for brooklyn. wildcats play usc nashville, temple owls take on iowa first round friday. if both local teams win, this is interesting, they'll actually play each other in the second rounds this weekend. meanwhile, the st. joe's hawks are already on the road. the team bus left hawk hill bound for the airport just short time ago. now, they have the longest flight, just about any of the

>> animal authorities, a horse hit by more than a hundred paint balls, found abandoned in lancaster county. that will horse found in a auction on monday, when rescue personnel saw the paint ball wound, they immediately took her to chester county new bolton center show, could spend about two weeks in isolation undergoing treatment. experts say she was hit by six different clotter paint balls, they say the horse is in terrible pain.

>> it look like it was done close range. so, she probably wasn't able to move, and that would be excrutiating, beyond immeasureable amounts of pain. >> when you see her, you mind goes to imagining how someone could do something like that. >> oh, handlers say lilly, as she has been nicknamed, also blind, in one eye. authorities are now searching for the owner. a pennsylvania man is arrested in connection to the so-called celebgate scandal. authorities say 36 year old ryan collins every lancaster has agreed plead guilty to hacking into e-mail and on line accounts. many belonging to famous women. no celebrities were identified in the plea deal, but collins was charged as part of the investigation, into who leaked nude photos on line of actress jennifer lauren and model kate upton, federal investigators say there is no link collins to the actual leak. still ahead are you a fan of criminal minds? coming up cbs is giving more

said, and actually see these temperatures just every couple every days, couple degrees get shaved off to the daytime high, bottom out first day of spring. start things off with a view of the pocono camera if we can. that's where we're definitely finding a lot of cloud cover settling in right now, but notice, the temperatures have been too mild, a lot of the snow, even the man-made stuff, starting to melt away here out at jack frost, big boulder, up in carbon county, by comparison we go next to one of the live network cameras, basically clear as a bell. so it really is, again, depending where you are, you're going to maybe see something little different than what you are finding here on our cameras, 55 degrees the current temperature by the way, out here at middle township high school in cape may courthouse. storm scan3, little wider zoom. you can already see that there have been couple of showers starting to dot the regional radar back through central pennsylvania even few rumble every thunder with that, too, all courtesy of this storm, and the core of that storm will bypass us off to the north, but the warmfront lift

in today, where upper 60s will come from, then cold front actually gets dragged through tomorrow, that will bring another round of some showers. now, the jet stream pattern is critical when we start to hear the word snow coming in to play potentially down the road here, we see the jet stream dipping south. ushering in enough cold, into early next week, and specifically sunday night, that we could, key word could, see few snowflakes pick up here, so pieces of the puzzle have to come together. talking sunday p.m., days away, little too far out, for one thing, even track something on radar just yet. but there will be a storm that's brewing, at least off to our south. and there is two ways right now that it could go. it could go completely taught to sea and bypass us, and we get nothing out of it, say for chill in the air, or end up with some precipitation. at this point moist of the guidance trying to keep it off to the south t keeps us on the colder side of the storm, so, if it hangs around long enough, we could end up with a couple of wet snowflakes, generally at worse, across our area, sunday night.

criminal minds. they push, push the envelope a bit, definitely doing that. >> and great cast, too, actor gary, also, on the show. what's it been like working together with everyone? >> a dream. i mean, we all came together and had this very genuine feeling, like, wow, these people, like, it is funny, i think i knew him two days, like oh, he's my brother from another mother. like you guys all just met? >> we just generally all became fast friends, garvey a dream, not only so talented and you grew up watching him and his incredible work, but he is kind and funny and wonderful family man. he just becomes a wonderful friends. >> very nice. before we go, i have to ask, you've been in philadelphia, still live here. tell me about your time here. what do you miss? >> yes, oh, i love philly. i miss rittenhouse square. i miss shopping, eating, you guys have great food. it is fun. philly is really, really cool. and the people of philly were just genuinely cool.
