okay, so there are some spots that are close to freezing on the they are mom term, but here is the thing, you have such a warm ground, that it shouldn't be terribly slick. i would keep close watch on the car they are mom term, eventually expect the winds to start picking up, turn pretty gusty, right now light. that's going to change though. thirty-five at the airport, youth in ac32, even below that up in mount pocono, so going to run into some of the normally colder spots >> under sunshine it will be breezy, how much, keep in mind, with the northwest winds, definitely going to feel colder than the thermometer reads. but we are looking ahead friends to another huge warm up, and i mean huge warm up. so stay tuned for those fun details. also, your easter sunday outlook as the show progresses, because you know a lot of egg hunts coming up this weekend, meisha

county involving a salt truck, crash happened just before 2:00 this morning in vineland. a cart drove into the rear of salt truck, near the exit for route 54 -- a six. that victim's identity not yet released. cars are getting by on the shoulder every southbound route 55, while the police investigation continues. up fortunately, another deadly accident to tell but here there is one involves several carson i-95 in south philadelphia. one person was killed, at least four others injured in the chain reaction crash. it happened around 10:30, northbound lanes closed for about four hours. all lanes are now open. no official words on cause, but roads were slick at the time of the crash. >> 5:03 right now, march madness tournament rolls on with one local team making it to the sweet 16, and another making an exit after a really terrific season. sports director john bell shows us villanova wildcats, st. joe's hawks fortune in the big dance. >> sunday huge day for college hoops in the city.

back at home local fans flocked together on campus to watch. holding their hopes high until the bitter ends. >> i'm just really upset because we work so hard to get there. >> when they took over, it was 45 and 45, it was great, when they had it, they lost it, it broke my heart. i'm still happy for them. >> their run for the sweet 16 now dashed, the fateful are looking ahead to next year, and wondered if junior forward deandre will be back. >> i thought deandre would pull it out. but, you know, he's messed up little bit. that's all right. hopefully come back next year, and stay in the same place. >> villanova still vying for it all, crushing iowa before a crowd's watching from campus. screams and collapse spread through the wildcat watch party as villanova beat the teams that beat temple to become sweet 16 contenders. >> i hear a lot of the alumni 198 a being the best year ever, hopefully 2016 can be our year, man, that would be awesome.

>> so will 2016 be the year for villanova. many here on campus are hoping so. next up villanova squares off against miami, lesser seeded team, and many odds makers have miami winning, erika, of course, everyone here wants to see those odds makers be proven wrong. back over to you. >> absolutely, justin, thanks so much. see you later this morning. and stay with "eyewitness news" for complete coverage of march madness. when not on tv you can always get the latest on our website cbsphilly.com. 5:08 right now. drive by shooting in philadelphia is under investigation. police say two people fired several shots into a home on the 2300 block of east cumberland street in kensington overnight. luckily, no one was hurt. the suspects were last seen heading westbound on cumberland. >> investigators say a retired pennsylvania state trooper killed a turnpike toll collector and a guard, during attempted robbery. police say 55 year old clarence briggs held up at the

exchange about six a miles west of harrisburg. employee daniel krause and fare selection security guard robert heist both shot and killed during the robbery. briggs stole a vehicle, driving it to his own car, where he was confronted by troopers and shot and killed. >> our family we're grieving right now. but we will resilient, we'll bounce back. >> toll collector krause has been on the job for less than three months. briggs retired in january of 2012 after 26 years with a honorable discharge. state troopers say the deadly shooting remains under investigation. authority say a man may lose his arm after his pet's rattle snake bit him. it happened on the 3500 block of welling ton street in mayfair. authorities say the man was bitten by a venamous horned rattle steak also known as sidewinder, he was returned to the hospital. we checked overnight, officials not releasing his

condition. a candlelight vigil held for maryland police officer originally from our area, who was killed in the line of duty. >> boothwyne native colson was shot and killed last week by a fellow officer during a shoot-out. officer colson was mistaken as suspect who was attacking the police department. family and friends were just overcome by grief during the memorial. >> jacai was the kind of officer when that happens, he goes toward the danger, so we, you know, my heart is breaking right now. we're a family. we take care of our officers, because they take care every us. >> that's what he was doing that day, and woe expect us to do the same. and to go out there and be the police, and, you know, protect people. >> three brothers are charged in that shooting. officer colson's funeral will be held next monday, march 28th, at the lawn croft cemetery in marcus hook. the ceremony will be private. >> well, if you are looking for a job, get that resume

>> stephanie woodward says flooding couldn't have come at worse time, with her dad out of the country she didn't know what to do. her dad was actually in argentina, decided to call for help in a facebook post. within just a fewer hours, family, friends and even complete strangers showed to up help. >> family, friends, we come right out here, try to get it done you. >> live so long in a place, and you don't realize the people around you are caring and care about your well-being and care about your home and your property and things like that. >> more than 20 people showed up more than she ever expected. >> first day of spring in philadelphia does not come without it perks, especially for those craving an icy treat. ice. >> free water ice, even though chilly day, hey, never too cold for frozen philly favorite. katie of course, first day of spring, brought first snow for some people. but don't seem to be that bad? >> glancing blow for the area, truly new england storm system more than anything, but yes, actually still snow out there, we will walk you through, pretty hilarious, actually driving down city avenue, interestingly enough, saw folks out there while it was still pellet g ice on the windshield, people out waiting for their ice. it is hilarious and awesome. >> storm system still messing with us, but looking at march so far, more than anything, the warmth has been winning out, temperatures are nearly 8 degrees above average, for the month thus far, we have had an inch of snowfall, but the highest temperature of 82 degrees actually happened within a week of when we had that inch of snowfall.
