>> following breaking news right now, the belgium capitol of brussels rocked by several explosions this morning. this all began with a deadly blast at the international airport that killed several people. >> city's metro system shutdown after reports of an explosion inside a subway, "eyewitness news" reporter justin finch is following the developments now from our news center, justin, what can you tell us? >> rahel, just hearing belgium officials urging citizens to shelter in place. this is after reports of mass casualties. and at least 13 now dead. cbs news is reporting two blasts at brussels airport, now being linked to suicide bombing. then word of at least one other blast, at the metro train station. all flights to the airport have been canceled or diverted and all mass transit service is now shutdown. now, this is video circulating now on social media.

showing scores of people running from the airport. this was about 8:00 a.m. in brussels, 3:00 a.m. our time, you'll see many airport window panels blown out there. earlier reports of a blast in the departure area of the airport and inside hundreds evacuated, some on to the tarmac. >> this happened reportedly at peak travel for the airport time. about an hour later, came, blasts after train station at the molenbeek train station not far from the us embassy and the european union. now also too, we nobel jump just raised its terror alert from high to maximum. >> this all comes after last week's cam tour of salah abdeslam, one of the key suspect in the paris attacks back in november, just this week, belgium officials report another paris attack suspect, likely bomb maker is on the loose, we want to tell you, too, american airlines flight 751 was bound for philly, from belgium. we are told at this time, that all staff have been accounted for. no word yet if it was indeed the blast happening at their desk counter, as has been

devestated. our heart are broken. and we are trying to make sense of everything that has happened. >> lexi case centers around the indian child welfare act aims at keeping native american children with their tribal relatives. she was removed from her birth parent custody at 17 months olds. court records show her biological father has extensive criminal record and her mother had a substance abuse problem. the national indian child welfare association says the girls family has been trying to get her back since 2011, but the page's chose to drag out the litigation as long as possible. >> whether it is a native american kid or not, have the same ends goal, which is to reunite a child with his or her biological relatives. >> for days, neighbors of the page's have been rallying behind the family. >> to all of the supporters you are true angels on earth. >> the page's plan to take their case to the california supreme court. don champion, for cbs-3,

"eyewitness news". 5:36. desperate times call for desperate america news atlantic city, now the mayor threatening to shutdown part of the city government next month if it doesn't get more money from the state. mayor don guardian says non-essential government services also stop on april 8th, and would shutdown likely, until at least may second, when the tax money is given to the city. police officers, firefighters and sanitation workers would still do their jobs, how much, they wouldn't get paid until that extra money arrives. and we are now learning that this morning's events in brussels are impacting the international market. >> you bet. money watch's jill wagner joining us from the new york torque stock exchange with that and more for us. good morning. >> reporter: well, good morning. erika, rahel, that's right, those explosions at the brussels airport are sending stock markets in europe much lower, yesterday, though, here in the u.s., the markets did evening out a bit of a gain. the dow finished up about 21 points. the nasdaq, as well, finished

city's water quality and practices cents, during city council hearing yesterday. an estimated 50 to 60,000 properties in the city had less service lines that cause contamination. commissioner admitted many home own remembers unaware. >> we need to improve our public education. you know, we are open to suggestions on how we can do that around how we can get the word out, that if you have lead in your plumbing there are certain precautions you should take. >> and lead is not just the philadelphia problem. 2015 new jersey department of environmental protection report showed 37 water systems, in that state, with elevated lead and copper violations. a miss from time to time delaware wildlife officials looking into the death of five bald eagles. the birds appear to be sick and were fawn near dagsborough, and one of the birds was found dead, three other died after resuscitation efforts failed. another group of eagles flew from the scene before they could be captured and

i had to chuckle. my gosh, all thinking the same thing. chilly beginning to the day but eventually we are going to start warming things up here. i want to check in with one quick picture, a hint after haze around the moon, nice and full this morning, you will see moonlit sky here about ready to hit the road. but the sun will be coming up. ed connor sent this one into us, thank you for that one, meanwhile, nice wide zoom, essentially crystal clear with high pressure now in place, that large dome of high pressure, large dome of high pressure just going to hook us up with some sunshine. now eventually, this starts to migrate east. as it does so, with the clockwise flow, around high pressure, we start to seat wind flow come more out of the south watch that will do is basically shove warm air up our way. it will help the temperatures start to rebound here. now toward the tail end of the month, early april, we are going to see couple of little cooler cells come through here. you will see little bit more implication on the jet stream, that allows the chill to start settling in. but not just yet. for now, we will warm things up here guys. two straight days, at least 70 degrees, i do think you
