pattern looks quiet, calm, collected as well. sun glare may ends up being an issue sort of the one thing that you don't necessarily mind but that you do tends to get when you have quiet weather. that said, sun obviously not up just yet. still little time before that will happen. storm scan nice and quiet. nothing more than few clouds, out of the viewrg area, all things considered quiet bing to the morning with generally clear skies, temperatures drop off bit more readily this morning, what you don't have at this point is that vicious wind. you have ally blustery yesterday, since completely wounds down. so in the mid 30's, even 20's, in some spots, you do need the heavier winter coat walking out the door. the day promising to be milder day than yesterday. we will take it, 56 by 3:00 p.m. officially shooting for 57 here, at philadelphia international airport. but you can expect to see more sun than anything. now, you want little taste of spring, little warm fuzzy? how about this? philly's home opener just 20 days away, folks. monday, april 11, taking on san diego padres, and again,

you know, we are certainly ushering in the spring season with nice little warming trend here in the days ahead, meisha a couple of days that we will at least crack 70 degrees. >> yes. >> i know. >> katy? >> fist bump. >> oh, totally. >> starting to heat up just cracked the 6:00 hour. we know it will happen. specially pushing through the 6:00 mondays and tuesdays tends to heat up, certainly doing so now. looking at the vine for awhile there seeing moving in the westbound direction, the far right lane was almost at a stand still. a lot of brake lights going on. so the vine certainly another area we're keeping our eye on starting to heat up. also the schuylkill, we can expect that, the schuylkill eastbound at city avenue, looking little busy both moving in the eastbound direction, then when you come off the roosevelt boulevard, in the southbound direction,

hop on the schuylkill there moving in the westbound direction, also heating up there, make note of that. 422, tail light eastbound direction at oaks looking good, heating up slightly there, as well. so give yourself couple every extra minutes there, we need it progressing through, erika, back over to you. >> back to the breaking news right now. the city of brussels on high terror alert after several explosions rock the belgium capitol. >> that's right. it all began this morning, with a deadly blast inside the city's international airport. "eyewitness news" reporter justin finch has been tracking the development all morning, and he's now live in the news center. >> high concern in brussels and beyond, after word of mass casualties in at least 13 dead. right now, the belgium government is urging all to shelter in place, after what they now call a terror attack. a rush to save lives after two blasts at brussels airport, and at least one other at busy subway station, now flights to the airport are called off or diverted and all mass transit is now shutdown. this video is being shared on social media, it shows crowds were racing away, from the

brussels airport in belgium. witnesses recall hearing two explosions go off at about 8:00 a.m. local time. roughly 3:00 a.m. our time. this took place in the departure area of the airport. cbs news now report those blasts are being linked to suicide bombing, security evacuated crowds taking some on to the tarmac and here is one, travelers account, of the moments before the blast. >> it was first and first with small explosion, maybe shotgun, something like that. >> few second later very big explosion, and a lot of smoke and completely -- sprinklers spray, so on. some people laying down. >> the fall out from the attack has local effect, american airlines flight 751 was due for take off this morning from brussels for

philadelphia international airport. eating in part, we are away of air tort departure hall and are taking care of our customers and employees at this time all accounted for with no reported injuries. american airlines flight 751 has-beens canceled for today, operations resume at the airport we will accommodate our passengers. belgium has raised it terror alert from high to maximum. alert already up after last week's capture of salah abdeslam, key surviving suspect in the november paris attacks. >> this week, belgium officials reveal another paris attack suspect, likely bomb maker is on the loose bomb went off at the train station, near, us embassy and european union very hard target that went off there today. back to you. >> justin finch thank you for the update. cbs news have crew right now head today brussels. they'll have the latest on the explosions coming up in just less than an hour on cbs this

morning. today president obama wrapping up historic three day trip to cuba. the president plans to meet with cuban dissidents and will also deliver a speech at historic theatre in havana which will be attended by cuban president, yesterday, president obama and castro addressed reporters said will not be easy but possible, president will ends his day watching the cuban national baseball team take on the tampa bay rays. >> has drawn both praise and criticsm one cuban american in philadelphia, this is specially emotional. "eyewitness news" spoke to attorney rich whose father was killed in 1979 by radical cuban group. while he says not everyone in his family supports normalizing relations he says he does, and it is because every his father.

>> we have photo in from inside belgium's airport. looking at shattered windows lying on the ground near the check-in for the flight at the kiosk there. there is also a military service man standing guards, we can see him right there. >> and american airlines flight 751 was scheduled to depart the airport, headed directly to philadelphia. shortly after the two explosions at the airport, at least one more explosion, rocked brussels metro line. so much 13 people are reported dead, but the casualties are growing, we will continue to monitor this story, of course, and have updates in just about 20 minutes. right now, 11:00, we want to check in with katie. pleasant day ahead? >> definitely. certainly looking at some pretty quiet weather out here for the next couple of days, in fact, with high pressure building in place right now, that means, fair weather, as well as the fact that it is going to be migrating east little more of southerly wind flow. so what that will do is help almost shove warmth our way, with more of southerly component to the wind flow, basically all clear, you have few clouds, developing, east of the appalachians.

east of the rockies, generally speaking, though, it is just totally quiet. totally collected and clear. and it looks like it will stay that way generally speaking for the next again two and a half days or so, so not bad. that said, the weather is going to cooperate for us because we do have lunar eclipse. a partial lunar eclipse, that takes place overnight tonight. called the eclipse here, few fact and figures on this one, so you understand what it is, little different than a total lunar eclipse because it is partial. only blocks some of the sunlight, from reaching the moon. but this technically will take place at 7:48 tomorrow morning. good window of time to actually see it, though, between 2:00 and 5:00 in the morning, along the east coast, what happens is the moon moves through, the outer earth shadow. so, it has been described as almost looking like it is a little smudged when you see portion that far moon. so that's what you will want to look for, then next total lunar eclipse doesn't happen until late january of 2018. so you got some time to kill before that will take place again, again it -- should have

decent viewing for that again overnight tonight. now, a warmer pattern in the meantime what we are looking ahead to here. did just have little drop in the thermometer, now the jet stream getting pushed off to the north across the canadian border and that's going to allow southerly wind flow to kick in, sends the temperatures from 15 to 20 degrees above seasonable average. so looking really nice and mild from here on out. but for today, back to seasonable, little on the cool side yesterday obviously, 35 at the airport, modest breeze, not contend withing vicious windchill we had yesterday, as the day goes on, 57 for the high, some sun, some clouds, miler day, dropping down to 46 tonight. not terribly chilly, and we look forwards in the forecast, eyewitness weather seven day, easter weekend already upon us, and a loft egg hunts going on saturday you will have full sunshine but few more clouds on the holiday itself. meisha, two days in the 70s? >> i know. >> love it. >> you just love it. just makes me want to get in the bunny costume on sunday.

after home. and do you whatever is necessary to make anyone that comes into your home comfortable. >> laurence started off driving the patients to the hospital. but his responsibilities keep growing. >> we prepare breakfast for them in the mornings. we paint the rooms. we spot clean. >> and it is the patients that keep him going. >> i get courage from them. they inspire me. >> taught us at young age always give back to people that were not less fortunate but that could use a hands. >> for 91 year old seal and her grandson chris, it is a family affair at the philadelphia house. >> out of the whole charity, we are the first family to have three generations volunteering at the house, at the same time. >> chris' grandmother works at the front desk, his mother drives patients to the hospital, and he works in the house of kitchens. >> you guys need help with doing any of the fruits? >> their whole family doing tasks that may be difficult for families with sick children. >> it is nice just to see everything provided, can

>> rahel, erika, all flights to and from that brussels airport are diverted or canceled, and all mass transit is now shutdown. the belgium government is calling this a terroristic attack. also urging all of their to essentially shelter in place as they track down those behind the blast now resulting in mass casualties, at least 13 dead. first we want to show you video, we are just getting in. it shows crowd rushing through a dark subway tunnel, just after the blast there. authorities report the explosion happened about one hour after the first two reported blasts, at the brussels airport in the section, the post cents are telling us that he actually felt a blast of air, and also, had to rush out to get himself a way from the damage there, believing that his car may have been behind the explosion itself. now, we also want to show you video making rounds on social media at this time. it shows crowds running from the still smoking brussels airport. notice blown out windows on the billing there, cbs news now reports those blasts are being linked to suicide

bombing. witnesses report two explosions going off at about 8:00 a.m. local time, roughly 3:00 a.m. our time, this took place in the departure a crowded space during peak travel time. security got airport staffers out through safety taking some on to the tarmac, then, across town, about one hour later, reports of that blast at the metro station not far from the european union annum s embassy. terror level now maximum up from high after last week's capture of salom abdeslam, key suspect in the november paris attacks, belgium officials have reported another suspect, likely bomb maker could be on the loose, also learning at this time that these explosions happened one, near the overweight baggage area, and also, a second, near a starbucks at peak travel time. you can imagine the two-point were very crowded. erika, rahel, back over to you. >> can you imagine the terror for those people who were in those areas? >> slutly. >> justin, thank you very much.

63:00 it, we check in with katie for our forecast. >> good morning to you both. overall this forecast is actually pretty pleasant one, fan of the spring warmth, we have that if full effect for you coming up here, already, starting to see rebound on the thermometer today, not quite out of typical march territory, that changes though, with time. little dose of may coming up here. yep, good stuff. storm scan, at the moment, nice and quiet. we have beautiful sunrise currently underway. clear skies for you out there. that's going to continue all day today. say, forehand full of clouds, but look at this, we go out to middle township high school cape may courthouse yesterday this same time if you recall there was blanket of snow out of of the baseball diamond, had a chance to melt away, beautiful sunrise underway, see the sunrise just about a half hour and change, 35 degrees the current temperature, with the clear skies, chilly reports in from our eyewitness weather watcher network in wilmington, sally report 30 degrees, very cold for mark in mt. laurel at 26. and we're in the low 30's hovering right around that freezing mark from peter, one of my favorite names, in

your left where we have the accident block that left lane. because of this, this is causing some significant delays, right now, as you can pretty much see. looks more like parking lot. but when we also look at the delays all the way into delaware county the a -- 95, north, causing you major issues here. we've been watching this for little while now. only getting slower. it is very slow, you are no longer traveling at posted speeds, if you can avoid the area right now until that crash gets out of the way, you certainly want to do so if not just know you will be sitting in some very slow conditions, and at some point not even moving at all. ninety-five south at cottman, looking good. you can see, slowing down here as well. whenever we see the brake light going on, now longer traveling at posted speeds, ladies, back to you. >> thank you. a medical emergency forces an american airlines jet that took off from philadelphia, to make an unscheduled landing in boston. flight 722 was on its way to dublin, initial reports indicated female passenger was unruly, but later determined

that she was suffering from a medical condition. that passenger was taken to a hospital. that flight has resumed, and we're told it has since landed safely in ireland. >> today voters in three states will decide who should be their party's presidential nominee. democratic frontrunner hillary clinton is looking to extend her delegate lead while donald trump's rivals are hoping to slow him down. correspondent don champion with the latest flu new york. >> voting in the west, lay the lands scale for the republican race. big prize the winner take allstate of arizona monday frontrunner donald trump focused on foreign policy in washington where he suggested the us should rethink its involvement in nato. and idea he repeated on cnn last night. >> we're paying disproportionately, frankly, different world than it was when we originally conceived of the idea and everybody got together. >> while in washington, trump tried rallying support from party leaders, he also spoke

welfare act to gain custody of her. her foster parents, they say they're defer stated. >> our hearts are broken, we are trying to make sense of everything that has happened with our three other children who witnessed their sister lexi forcefully ripped away from our family by strangers. >> and lexi has been with the page family for about four years. the tribe issued a statement saying it desires the best for the child. desperate times call for desperate measures in atlantic is he. now the mayor is threatening to shutdown part of the city government. next month if it doesn't get more money from the state. mayor don guardian says non-essential government services will stop on april 8th. and the shutdown would likely last until at least may second, when tax money is given to the city. police officers, firefighters and sanitation workers would still do their jobs, but they wouldn't be paid until the extra money arrives. the fbi says it may not need apple's help after unlocking

the iphone used by the san bernardino shooters. hearing was sped today over the phone security system, but that hearing has been canceled. and federal prosecutors say an outside party has shown the fbi a possible way to unlock the phone. authorities say they'll need time to figure out if that method will work without compromising the data on that phone. a victory for women who are suing bill cosby for calling them liars over sexual assault allegations. a federal judge in philadelphia says lawyers for those women can see the case file from andrea constant's case against cosby. she may recall reached confidential civil settlement with cosby after she sued him in 2005. cosby now faces criminal sexual assault charges in that case. right now it is 6:40. and drones may soon be banned over certain part of pennsylvania. >> what they're interfering with that has nothing to do with airplanes. >> also, ahead, two men are being called heroes, after they jumped into action, helping rescue a driver from
