the wake of the paris attacks yet another sophisticated coordinated attack, right under the nose of european authorities. >> reporter: it is unclear if today's attacks were in the wake of the abdeslam's arrest. police have been conducting raid throughout the day and one of those raid officials say they found an isis flag, chemicals and bombs nearly identical to the ones used in today's attacks n brussels, jonathan vigliotti for cbs-3 "eyewitness news". meanwhile is there lots of activity in philadelphia because of the deadly attacks in brussels. heavy security presence is felt all across the city especially around major transportation hubs. we have a team of reporters covering this story, lets begin with "eyewitness news" reporter greg argos who joins us from philadelphia international airport operating on a height even a leather, greg. >> reporter: that is right, jim. an american airlines authority say they have canceled their only direct flights, from brussels here, to philadelphia international airport. meanwhile airport officials are telling passengers that

expect to see extra security. extra police and patrols as philadelphia international airport. the security a direct result to the terror attacks that rocked belgium's capitol city. >> for me i'm an international student. i fly more often. it is hard to be scared, for flying. >> reporter: even so some passengers say they are on edge, paying extra close attention to their surroundings, and glad airport officials have increased law enforcement presence. >> i think that a lot of airports try to make sure you all feel safe and secure and i know they are cautious when you get to the big cities. but i don't know, i feel pretty safe, coming to the airport but i know it is kind of scary with everything internationally. >> i travel two or 300 days a year. >> reporter: businessman john we willly just landed on a direct flight from paris and heard news minutes before he got on that international flight. >> reports first started coming through was just a little bit of smoke, but by

walt. >> reporter: jessica, shortly after violence began, heavy security, clearly visible here at 30th street station, along amtrak routes, also along septa a routes throughout the city. that being said all have of the riders we have spoke with today, expressing real confidence, that everything possible was being done to protect them. heavily armed amtrak officers were clearly visible in the hours after the belgium attacks. along with k-9 units, as riders, waited for trains, with ticket in their hands, and concerns on their mind. >> the thought never stopped of what if, you know he but hey it is business as usual and it is what it is, actually. >> our country is doing the best job possible, and i think that there is always a risk, but i don't think that should stop us from, you know, doing what we want to do.

>> reporter: septa says its riders will notice more officers, as they travel, according to chief tom nestel who spoke shortly after completing a nationwide conference call about the belgium attacks with other departments, and the fbi. >> there is no information of the threat for the united states. >> we are taking the appropriate measures. there are in threats to the philadelphia region that we are aware of, according to the fbi and home land security. >> reporter: philadelphia police commissioner richard ross and septa's chief both emphasizing how crucial it is to report anything suspicious. >> i know that you think that you're bothering us by calling 911, bother us. >> reporter: now, a big part of the protective net is provided by septa's explosive detection dogs, the k-9 unit, coming up at 6:00 we will go out with them, with a dog and a handler to show you just how that works, to ensure that you

government. >> next stop for the president is south america, heading to buenos aires to meet with argentina's new president. three people are injured in the crash in montgomery county, that sent easter candy spilling on to the road, "eyewitness news" on the scene near route 100 near route 37 in gilbertsville. that accident involved a minivan and a box truck full of easter items. >> on the roadway we have approximately three to 5 tons of debris from the box truck, all different sorts of easter candy, check late, easter bunnies, baskets of all sorts. >> most of the candy was contaminated with diesel fuel. it took several hours to clear the road. the cause of the crash is now under investigation. atlantic city's mayor says resort town dismal's finances will force weeks long shut down of non-essential governmental sources last night. as "eyewitness news" report are cleve bryan tells us city employees including first responders are now looking at the prospect of working

a place for children to feel normal will when recuperating and spending a day in the hospital. our in a cash brown introduces to us one special boy who has some big dreams. >> is there no stopping 11 year-old lou while we took elevator he chose to take the stairs in the first sit down interview at the ronald mcdonald house in camden. >> speaking spanish. >> reporter: he spend his day at ronald mcdonald house has always been very good. louise and his parents joanne and angel are from puerto rico and speak very little english but with the help of the translator, grace, we're learning more about his inspirational story. he was born without a femur in his left leg, and at two years old he had to have his foot amputate todd make way for a prosthetic leg. he has been receiving surgeries and numerous treatment at shrine era's hospital for children, his

face lights up the moment we ask him about his favorite sport: basketball. he loves it so much his prosthetic leg ace adorned with the iconic um age of his favorite player, michael jordan. do you like basketball? are you pretty good? every year as he grows he returns to shriner's hospital to have his prosthesis change and adjusted. his family find a home away from home at ronald mcdonald house while he under goes his treatment. >> it has been kind of difficult, but they came here because of him, and they think that this house is like his second house, or his second house for all of them. >> everything is good. after he had his prosthesis, he is doing, he is living like a normal kid. >> reporter: normal kid who dreams of one day becoming a basketball player in the nba. >> louise's basketball skills are quite impressive but what
