bombers attacked the belgium capitol's airport an subway station. dozens are killed, many more injured, and tonight, the one man authorities are desperately trying to fine. these acts overseas have america on alert here at home. security is tight. how local authorities are wor working to keep travelers safe. >> my concern was all my friends that live there and work there. >> also philadelphians with ties to belgium devastated by the acts of violence. how they're paying tribute to the victims. good evening, i'm jessica dean. ukee washington is off tonight. here is what we know right now. tonight the state department issued an alert for americans in europe saying terror groups continue to plan near term attacks. the bombings at the brussels airport and train station killed at least 31 people and injured more than 250. we know several americans were hurt. now international manhunt is underway for at least one

suspect who fled the airport attack. we have live team coverage for you beginning with our natasha brown in the sat center. natasha? >> reporter: belgium's prime minister called for three days of national mourning in the wake of the deadly coordinated terror tax in brussels. isis has claimed responsibility and warn of more dark days. carnage and chaos moments after a suicide bomb attack at the airport in brussels. a massive blast blew out windows and collapsed ceilings esterified passengers scurried through a cloud of dust and debris trying to get to safety. >> it was very loud. it was not something... you felt kind of shock. >> reporter: explosives were right in front of me this woman says. belgium police quickly released this photo of three suspects. the two on the left were killed in the blast investigators

believe they were wearing only one black glove possibly to conceal a detonator. the third man scene here with the hat has vanish. another deadly explosion rocked a busy subway station about an hour after the airport attack. passengers scramble out of a nearly obliterated train car. security forces raided one neighborhood in brussels and found two more explosive devices and an isis flag. isis has now claimed responsibility and warn of more dark days. speaking in cuba, president barack obama condemn the attac attacks. >> we must be together regardless of national al will the or race or faith in fighting again the scourge of terrorism. >> reporter: many were killed in the coordinated bombings and hundreds were injured including some americans. the injured include three mormon commissioners from utah and a us air force lieutenant colonel his wife and four kids. caroline moore from kentucky was with her daughter stephanie when

the bomb exploded at the airport. stephanie is now missing. >> my husband called the american embassy and they're looking for her. >> i haven't gotten any information from anyone. >> reporter: the attacks in belgium came just four days after salal abdeslam was caught in brussels. abdeslam one of the 10 paris tack kearse the only one to evade police for four months. more raids meantime are being conducted all throughout brussels and a massive manhunt is underway for that missing third suspect. that's the very latest for now. we're live in the sat center tonight. natasha brown, cbs3 "eyewitness news". >> natasha, thank you. airports across the country including here in philadelphia are ramping up security in the wake of the attacks. bomb sniffing dogs can be seen on patrol at philadelphia international airport. passengers should expect to see an increase in security throughout all areas of the airport. passengers and flight attendants

say they're staying extra vigilant as well. i'm kind of real big on we got to be mindful any way. whether or not we had the incident in brussels. >> there was time when if you didn't see something wasn't quite right you know you would just kind of roll with it. you don't do that any more. >> officials say there is no confirmed threat to philadelphia international airport. there is also heavier security presence at 30th street station. armed amtrak officers were clearly visible in the hours after the terror tax in brusse brussels. septa riders will also notice more officers as they travel the rails. authorities say if you see anything suspicion, call 911. >> anything that we can do to help, that's why we're here. give the public some kind of peace of mind. >> officials also say there's no confirmed threat to 30th street station. those in in our areas with ties to belgium are keeping a close eye on the situation and

"eyewitness news" reporter david superintendent is live in center city with this part of our coverage much david? >> reporter: jessica, for many this attack may seem like world away but for many philadelphians it's very real who have connections to belgium and speaking of belgium, you're taking live look at the belgium flag right now on the ben franklin parkway and for those people that have contacts overseas, they are devastated. the belgium flag flew outside humphries flag store in old city. a tribute to the victims killed and injured in the brussels attack. philadelphians send their prayers overseas. >> my concern was all my friends that live there and work there, and it was very difficult to reach them. >> reporter: tom peters owns monk's cafe in center city his specialty belgium beer. he's been to brussels countless times. he was at the airport one of the attack sites just in january. >> wow many i was stunned and i was thinking in we would have done this trip a little later, we could have been there. philadelphia police commissioner

to city council seat it's a position he held until his dea death. chopper three over ridley park delaware county where a sanitation worker was killed this afternoon. it happened near delaware avenue. we're told that worker fell off the garbage truck and was hit by another vehicle. no word tonight on that worker's identity. three people are injured in crash in moment county that sent easter candy spilling on to the road. "eyewitness news" at route 100 near route 73 in gilbertsville. this accident involved a mini van and a box truck full of easter items. most of the candy though was contaminated with deasiul fuel it took several hours to clear the road. the cause of that crash is under investigation. in tonight's good question we're talking about something we all do, dream while we sleep. sometimes we remember them, sometimes we don't. and at times dreams can be down right scary. so why do these adventures play out in our minds? nicole brewer

toison down nothing but blue sky whiskey clouds you can see the kids on the field there in the afternoon. a beautiful, beautiful day it's comfortable right now. still 45 degrees in cape may courthouse. here's a look at the big picture on storm scan3 across the nation. we've got interesting stuff going on. cold air locked up to the north. warm air to the south and you can see got frontal boundary draped here over portions of new york state and new england. snow to the north of that boundary. rain to the south and also going to be the dividing line the next few days between the warm air to the south and the cold air to the north. luckily we'll be on the southern edge that boundary and temperatures will warm up pretty nicely for the next few days it's still 50 right now in philadelphia. 48 degrees in reading. 49 in allentown. keep in mind on sunday we didn't even get to 50 degrees for the daytime high. topped out at 43. monday our high was just 51. today we're up to 57. tomorrow we jump we skip the 60s altogether and head right for 70 degrees and we'll be in the 70s on thursday as well. here's wait looks like a southwest wind bringing warmer

air for wednesday in the 70s thursday same story. we'll see some clouds around on wednesday. thursday more sunshine but then a front sweeps through. this will be thursday night into friday morning. showers early in the day then some clearing in the afternoon and just slightly cooler but still above average friday we're still talking 60s. here's what it looks like again you can see that dividing boundary here this is 4:00 o'clock tomorrow. a few clouds here and there but we'll see some sunshine. north of that boundary it's chilly to the south we've got this big warm batch of air sitting overhead this is very similar to the pattern we saw several weeks ago when we got to the 80s for couple of days. thursday morning again you can see snow, rain, freezing rain to the north. we are in the warm sector though thursday afternoon is still dry then the showers come through thursday night into friday morning. there's 6am looks like it will clear out friday mid afternoon. so in the meantime we end join the nice warm temperatures bottoming out tonight at frick degrees. certainly not as cold as recent nights and it's partly cloudy. your wednesday high 70 degrees feeling more like may than march again normal highs 55 so this is
