good morning, the hunt for a terrorist continues, this morning. authorities in belgium are still searching foreman in the tan colored jacket suspect of carrying out this week's attacks in brussels. also a violent night in the city, several shots are fired, at two separate crime scenes inn what police are saying about the suspects. on his last night in argentina, it is hard to see but commander in chief picks up his heels, we will check out his tango game in the light coming up. i know, impressive. good morning, it is march 24th i'm erika von tiehl. i want to check with katie and meisha a. what a beautiful day ahead of us. >> it does feel nice outside. roads looking good, nice and dry, just a lot of

investigators meanwhile say evidence is mounting that the same isis cell carried out attacks in brussels and paris. militants may have launched this this week because they feared authorities were closing in on them. here's more from correspondent jonathan vigliotti. >> reporter: authorities say dna from one of the suspect brussels bombers matches evidence found on at least one of the suicide vests used in the november paris attacks. it is believed nagging nag was d he and brahim el-bakraoui blue blue them self up on tuesday. el-bakraoui's young your brother, khalid, died after he detonated his explosives an hour later. brothers had had criminal record but not on the radar of counter terrorism investigators until this week. manhunt goes on for this suspect who got away, investigators say he ditched his suitcase, full of explosives, at the airport. the associated press reports that isis has trained at least

second explosion. also justin and stephanie schultz who moved from brussels from kentucky were reported missing after tuesday's blast. it has been an emotional time with their families to await news. >> i have been hoping my phone would ring and justin and stephanie would be on the other end to tell me they're okay. so i did not have to worry, but that call didn't come. >> u.s. state department says it does not know of any americans killed in the brussels attacks. security is on the mind of passengers returning home from europe. travelers arriving at philadelphia international airport were greeted by k-9 dogs and heavily armed officers. one of them had been scheduled to fly out of brussels wednesday morning, day after the terror attack. >> i travel the same airline that i was supposed to take where the explosion took place. >> you could have been on -- >> one of the victims. >> there is in terror threat begins the airport. stay with "eyewitness news" for continuing coverage

of the terror attacks in brussels, we will keep you updated on tv and on line at cbs philly.com. 4:37. a violent night in philadelphia. one man is killed and another is fighting for his life after two separate shootings. police say a man in his, 40's was killed after being shot multiple times in fair hill. the gun fire erupted around 1:30 on the 100 block of east indiana. police are searching for the gun man, no word right now on a motive. in east germantown a half an hour earlier police found a man lying on the sidewalk after being shot multiple times. police say that the gun man opened fire with an assault rifle at chew and east locust. police are still searching for a blue hyundai that fled that scene, victim we're told is if critical condition. west deptford police are investigating a beating that is creating outrage on social media, we do want to warn you this video is graphic. video posted on facebook shows a minor being hit and kick. the man is threatening him as

he goes to police. west deptford police were inundated with calls to 911. police chief is urging residents to remain calm. >> most important part to me is that the juvenile is safe. they are not having any communication, he is not in danger any longer. people were putting threats out, on social media we have put something out where we asked and we cannot make people do it the but just to give us a look into the investigation good police have not filed charges but they have spoken to both people in the video. they are trying to figure out who reported the beating. naacp wantsas from philadelphia police have after a woman complained officers mistreated her. nicole newman says philadelphia police showed up to execute an arrest warrant for her son on the non-violent theft. she says that two white officers grabbed her out of her house and roughed her up. newman, who was a city social worker, spent the night behind bars. she's charged with disorderly conduct. >> i have to ask myself if i

had done something wrong, although that i know that i didn't. i was treated like i robbed a bank and i was running down the street with the dye pack. >> philadelphia police commissioner richard ross tells "eyewitness news" the incident is under investigation. district attorney's office declined comment. pennsylvania governor tom wolf is one step closer to ending the nine month long budget battle. he is allowing a $6 billion spending bill from the republican legislature to take effect sunday with the threat of the veto. governor is still unhappy says it under funds his priorities and fails to dress the state's budget deaf cyst. >> i cannot in good conscious sign this bill. i cannot in good conscious attach my name to the budget that simply doesn't add up. but to allow us to move on, to face the budget challenges of 2016/17, i am going to how hb1801 to become law.

police in warning residents about a scam involving fake driveway papers. police say homeowners are giving them money but job is never getting done the. "eyewitness news" spoke to one home owner in wilmington who says he shelled out $210. she said man came to her home and seem professional. he also claimed to have extra materials from a previous job. >> he was out like measuring my driveway, and he even told me he could asphalt all the way up to my back deck. he asked me to show him where he could put some, dump some dirt. >> the state department of transportation says that very few legitimate paving contractors will offer services door to door. they suggest not paying anything until the work is

done. two young men are accused of using a doughnut to smuggle drugs into a south jersey high school. police say 21 year-old brian perry, junior showed up at bordentown high school, claiming to bring lunch for his friend, and now school officials thought something was fishy. they double checked this doughnut inside this bag and they found six xanax pills stuffed inside. authorities in bucks county are looking for this woman, she's accused of stealing $800 worth of electronic tooth brushes this happened at cvs in warwick township on monday month. man was last seen driving in the gray car with damage to the rear bumper. 4:44. this is a peach of the forecast. >> i would say so. we will see decent weather down the road and for easter weekend but today is my personal favorite of the next several days. i like to get you started on a good note here. front load forecast with positive news. we are going go to see a couple hiccups but nothing too major.

is coming close. that gives you a sense how warm it will be. essentially clear skies, couple cloud, we have a front off to the north but far enough north that in precipitation in the forecast. then we will look at this wide zoom over the next storm system brewing breaking out with snow across central plains and great lakes. this cold front will cross through our area, bringing us severe weather down to the deep south today and probably tomorrow too but we are calling for a few showers and thunder too. warm breeze picking up with time, awfully calm, mostly sunny skies, yielding to cloud and that is that next front starts to move in. watch for showers, overnight into tomorrow morning and i do think we will be dodging wet weather for morning commute but despite that temperatures this is a cold front. temperatures are getting income back in the upper 60's by the time we hit weekend a really nice easter holiday weekend. granted cooler on saturday but 59 degrees, still above average by a couple degrees. >> we will take tonight march. >> we will. villanova wildcats take the next step right here on

his life after being shot in east germantown overnight. also a massive manhunt is still underway in europe for a third suspect connected to tuesday's terror attacks in brussels. belgium prosecutors say that two of the three bomb hours blew themselves up were brothers. at least one of the men was named as a suspect in the paris attacks last year. and president obama continues his visit to argentina despite criticism from republicans for not returning home following the events in brussels. the president and first lady danced the tango at a state dinner in buenos aires last night. 4:50. time for a check on your business news. the money watch's jill wagner is at the u.s. stock exchange. americans are buying more homes but depend on where you are in the country. >> reporter: well, that is right, erika. commerce department says overall sales of new homes rose about 2 percent in february, the increase though came solely from the west, where sales jumped 39 percent. here in the northeast, sales

comfortable throughout the day and feel comfortable right now. yesterday, if you will recall it did feel a tad chillier because there was a hint of the breeze. you don't have too much of that right now. storm scan is still quiet ape will stay that way throughout the day as we eventually start to see clouds building in as a sign of the next cold front but we don't have to worry about wet weather. you get the whole day with forecasted daytime highs easily in the 70's here throughout the day-to-day and if you think we have decent shot to hit, mid 70's down you this southern most count that is will include philadelphia so 73 degrees is our forecasted high specific to the city depending where you are. it might be warmer then. that later tonight and tomorrow morning our next round of showers, rumble of then are pushing through with our cold front that send those temperatures on a nose dive but still, meisha, easter weekend looking good and we are remaining a above average. >> looking gorgeous. one thing we do need rain too as we push into that spring. all right. trade off. thanks very much, katie.

happy thursday to you. so tacony palmyra bridge rescheduled to open around 4:45. it had has done so. hard to tell if we are getting traffic. i will update you on. that we did the tacony palmyra bridge go up. 422 westbound where we are dealing with construction, that right lane compromised right now. we saw this yesterday. it cleared in the 5:00 o'clock hour. we are hoping it does same thing as you can see only one lane opened. this will certainly slow you down as we push toward that 5:00 o'clock hour if that doesn't get out of the way. also more construction 95 south approaching betsy ross bridge they are saying that a left lane is closed. you can't see it here, just make note in and around this area. left lane closed. not causing too many slow downs but could in a while. construction 295 north bound at 952 lanes blocked until 5:00 a.m. another point of construction 295 northbound between deep water and route 48, one lane block until 5:00 a.m. meisha, thank you. if you are heading out the door get kate's updated forecast on kyw news radio
