moving in portions of new york city, and into long island at the moment this came through, almost, instantly. we felt wind just really pick up and now, very blustery this evening. the wind advisory in effect for vast majority of the entire northeast that goes until midnight tonight for our region and indicative of the gusts possibly as high as 50 miles an hour. we have had a few, up to 48, 49, even one gusting in chester county at 51 miles an hour here this evening. here's the low down on the wind advisory. we have wind until 20 to 30 miles an hour making it feel colder outside. we are concerned about gusts. gusting to 50 miles an hour with those gusts, you always have to be on the look out for down tree branches and down power lines and that, of course can lead to the risk for power outages. secure loose object around your home trash cans blowing down the street with these strong gusty wind. wind do die down overnight but i'll tell but more gusty wind for your tuesday and we will track some rain as we start to

transition here from march into april. i'll have the seven day coming up. back over to you. >> kate, thank you. u.s. capitol complex was placed on lock down this afternoon after shots were fired at the visitors center. capitol police say a man drew his weapon at a security checkpoint and then was shot by police. he was arrested and taken to a hospital. a female bystander was also injured by shrapnel. police say this incident was the not, terror related, and the capitol complex was on lock down for about an hour. stay with cbs news for very latest on this capitol shooting, scott pelley will have more tonight at 6:30 on the "cbs evening news" right after we sign off. twenty-six year-old paul, has been charged with assault and an alleged attack, caught on cameras and shared on social media "eyewitness news", showed you video last week after it went viral. west deptford township police launched an investigation into that fight that led to the arrest. the victim was a juvenile.

cojocaro faces aggravated assault and terroristic threats. he is now, outside on bail. a warning tonight for dog owners, some on the main line say their dogs have been disappearing, and that is raising concern about possible dog thieves. he says that a couple in a gold honda tried to take his golden retriever will friday his front yard in bryn mawr. home surveillance caught that whole ordeal. joseph say couple told them they thought it was their neighbor's dog but he got suspicious after seeing flyers on social media warning others a man and a woman in the tan sedan were trying to take dogs from front yard. >> i hope to have them grow a conscious. that is pretty, pretty sick and sat things to do. >> other dog owners are saying that they keep their dogs on a tighter leash, after seeing those warning flyers. the villanova wildcats are heading to the final four and excitement around town, it is through the look. students are still on easter break so campus, was quiet but

>> i still make money for them. >> reporter: what makes you want to do this. >> i just wanted to give back. >> reporter: cassidy's name after her grandmother rose marie cassidy who was a patient at the center for nine years. >> we took phenomenal care of her. >> reporter: kristin martin says her mother's final years were good because of the cancer center. the cassidy was one when her nana died in 2008 but she remembers. >> she was really nice, sweet, i like everything about it. >> reporter: instead of birthday presents cassidy got $320 from her friend that she donated to the cancer center. >> give me a hug. thank you very much for all you do. >> it is like an angel. >> reporter: marie destafano says oncology director will go to the appearance enhancement the center where breast cancer patients get help with things like wigs. >> any donation no matter how small it is is big to the cancer center. we're a small center. we treat a lot of patients. >> reporter: cassidy does not know much about cancer only that this is the place that made nana happy.
