for a roller coaster ride with the weather, katie outside on the skies deck and meisha is watching the morning commute, good morning, ladies. >> good morning, happy thursday you guys. roads are looking g construction is getting cleared out, we still have some out there but no accidents to report. i guess the main, main topic of conversation is we have got tornadoes. >> thankfully we don't to have worry about there. never said t word unless we say it is on the way. i don't think that is a concern the at all, but what we are going to say is some wet weather that crosses in the area all courtesy of the same storm that, did bring tornadic activity across the central plains. that is where we will start our focus where we have got very heavy rain, very nasty thunderstorms currently erupting a cross mississippi, western tennessee, kentucky. that will be the hot bed of severe weather activity here today. but this storm isn't here just yet, at the moment, totally dry at the local level. we don't to have worry about wet weather throughout daylight hours, meanwhile by

tonight, things do starting to a little will downhill, you can see wet weather waiting in the wings, taking its time to get here but right the new we're sitting in the warm sector of this storm system and in short what that means is it is a much milder morning then yesterday was. low, to mid 50's currently being reported back through the western suburbs, you will recall in the 20's this same time yesterday, so it is a nice little change of pace for you, 54 degrees in millville. fifty-four in wildwood as well. looking at these outlining suburbs, okay, alrighty will give thaw in pottstown we have 39 degrees but still warmer then yesterday. still want to have a jacket. with that said we will look forward in the the forecast we will get rid of it later on. 71 degrees the expected high, later on today, but, take a look at what is down the pike for us. by the time we will hit sunday, temperatures are still stuck in the 40's at best and i don't think it will feel much better than the 30's anytime the wind blows. so where is this coming from? it is all from that cold

examiner was on the scene. the circumstances surrounding the woman's death are still unclear. meanwhile, a heartless crime in mercer county, right new police are looking for two burglars who tied up a nine two-year old woman in her own basement. "eyewitness news" reporter cleve bryan, spoke to a family friend about how she's doing right now. >> it is one of those pray that the cops get you first. >> reporter: michael has a few ideas what he would like to do to the the two people severely beat his friend's mother. it happened sometime monday night into tuesday morning. the victim is 92 years old. >> they beat her up asking for the money, from what i understand, they got $20, and then they hog tied her and threw her down cellar steps. >> reporter: ewing township police got a call tuesday morning from the neighbor who saw door opened at victim's house and thought a burglary happened. officers arrived and found the elderly woman tied in the basement. >> she was bound with

news. i would like to start off with the good news. a live look overlooking palmyra cove nature park and at this point, all calm, all clear, we barely have a wind out there. hint of the breeze. the not much more than that. however, there is that activity off to the west that will eventually have a an impact on us, right. we will walk you through. that first and foremost on storm scan it the is clear locally off to the west, wet weather advances to the midwest. we will look the at the wide zoom and throw in color contours. these are temperature contours. you will notice it is brighter with some green and yellow showing up across where this front is crossing through but right behind it, much colder air, this is a serious clash in the atmosphere and when you have that, you tend to see some nasty weather break out, and the heart of the spring severe weather season. no surprise there really that we had tornado activity through oklahoma, brunt of the storminess, happening as we speak, down through, really east of the mississippi, western tennessee, mississippi as well getting in on very

heavy rain. now there is an enhanced risk for severe weather in that zone by comparison you go outside those lines, slight risk to a marginal risk that is today's severe storm risk. this all shifts east. by tomorrow we will see in the marginal risk to break this down we have scattered thunderstorm, a few heavy downpours and gusty wind. by comparison i don't think we are talking hail. not talking about tornadic activity. we are low on the totem pole. these are new class racials, they have been out for maybe two years at most but, we have got five separate levels, of classification when it comes to severe weather. tomorrow we will sit at very, very bottom of that. this just isn't going to be that kind of a severe situation for us. low to mid 07's, warming up big time in advance of that cold front passage. once it does look the at the drop off by sunday. that is more like february, guys. it will not feel much better than 30's with that wind blowing either, burr.

worn by aj drexel biddle, she was a wife of the diplomate, mr. drexel biddle and very glamorous and very well dressed. you can see that all of the manikins are skull sevened to the wearer who wore the gown and she was extremely tall. she had just incredible taste, and was always well dressed for all of the ambassador events that she had to attend. >> reporter: this one in the middle, the beaded gown, it is one of my favorites. >> it is one of my favorites too by james gallonos a philadelphia design are and this was worn by kathleen fields, a former model and interior designer and philanthropist and she just had this impeccable sense of style, and taste, and you can see that in the 60's we have this interest in beading, and decoration so you have a really heavy rine stone, and design on the front of the

gown, and it really just makes what is otherwise a very simple streamline gown, into this stunning show stopper. >> reporter: what i love about all these pieces as we move from the 60's to the 30's, they are all timeless. that is really what fashion is all about. we will go from the 60's new to the 30's here. what are differences that we're seeing. >> well, what we're seeing here is we're moving from the flapper dresses of the 20's, and so we're returning to a sense of the body, and a very much interest in tailoring and sculpting to the body. we are seeing a mix of french designers and also the rise of american designers this first gown here, which is one of my favorite is by jesse franklin turner and she was one of the first design tours really have a name, an american designer with the name. she was really the go to for american women who were of

means, and were really looking for something different, jesse franklin turner was men for her interest in texture. her incredible fabrics and the colors that she chose. you can really see that it is very again very simple, elegant structure but still so tailored and sculped to the body, much like the scanreli next to it the in the purple here, scalperili is a well known designer from the 30's and she was again, very interested in sculpting to the body to create this very incredible form that is draped, and in fact, in the back of the dress there are these seems that really pull the waist into give you this very dramatic sense of the shoulders and the sort of the sweeping bell at the bottom of the dress. >> reporter: everything here was either created, bought, or worn in philadelphia a so philadelphia connection and a really wide range of people who wore it as well.
