now. to be holding him in my arms after what happened yesterday is a blessing. >> reporter: malika hunter said she's paranoid about losing her son again a day after cherie amoore kidnaped him from king of prussia mall. hunter insists she never let amoore held her son and she took the infant from the stall era and ran away. she called 911. amoore said her infant son recently died and holding little ahsir helped ease the pain. >> you suffered a loss or whatever. but what you did to me it wasn't called for. >> reporter: police arrested amoore in tredyffrin township late last night, authorities say she voluntarily gave ahsir back to his family. >> i lost my sense of security out here right now. i don't feel safe out here. i don't feel my children are safe out here. i don't want to be out here. >> reporter: ahsir has no injuries, his mom told me i asked her point blank if she would consider forgiving this woman cherie amoore and she said absolutely not. she was firm on that statement. reporting live from port

richmond david spunt for cbs-3 "eyewitness news". >> david, thank you so much. we will go to "eyewitness news" reporter trang do in king of prussia where the suspect was in court this afternoon. >> reporter: cherie amoore appeared with her parents and other family members and they all declined to comment. court documents reveal pretty sad details in this case. >> is there any comment you want to make on behalf of your daughter no comment right now from the family. >> reporter: no comment from cherie amoore family or amoore herself as she appeared in court on her arraignment on kidnapping charges. >> she has told our investigators that she did not go to the mall with the intention to steel the baby. >> reporter: but tom noland said amoore is shown on surveillance video leaving the king of prussia mall with seven year-old ahsir simmons in her arms. noland said she made off with the baby after striking up a conversation with the mother. the mother was distracted while tend to go another child and amoore asked to pick up the baby. >> she did say no. at a later point mom was doing the best that she could and this person offered to help

her out, and pick up the baby and this happened. >> reporter: detectives found ahsir at amoore's wayne apartment late thursday night. amoore told investigators that she had an out of body experience, and was overwhelmed by the feeling of holding than infant again. >> she told investigators that she gave birth to a baby boy february 11th which died a few hours later. we have not been able to confirm any of that story. >> reporter: amoore's public defender had no comment when asked if his client was ever pregnant and lost a child but did offer a glimpse into her state of mind. >> you could see in the court that she was upset, and, as i said that this was a very difficult time for everyone involved and i think that her presence in the courtroom showed that. >> reporter: amoore is being held on half million-dollar cash bond her next court appearance is scheduled for april 15th. in king of prussia i'm trang do for cbs-3 "eyewitness news". at more family has since released this brand new statement just coming into us just a little bit ago. it says quote at more family appreciates all who have reached out with prayers a and

and chester counties, trailing down into portions of northern maryland and a few storms approaching new york city metropolitan area as well. these storms are moving at 45 miles an hour to the north and east. you can see over portions of chester county these storms headed for delaware county. there is one warning over portions of northern bucks county, pretty nasty conditions traveling here on the northeast extension through you that particular cell. lets zoom in on this entire line here and again you can see some rain, some lightening, over northern montgomery county, possibly some hail with this particular cell as we look up into bucks county the at the moment. that is where our warning is in effect until 6:15 tonight and it includes perkasie, tinicum, dublin and into cynwyd mercer county, new jersey. we expect these storms to continue possibly moving through philadelphia area by 6:30 to 6:45. then weakening a little bit, not as much instability in new jersey but we could see he gusty wind and heavy rain through 8:00 p.m. and then those storms will move out of here. once we get rid of the strong

very good right now for the arcidiacono family. >> it is pretty surreal. it is incredible. >> reporter: arcidiaconos met in college. now to have a son playing in the final four it is amazing. >> i think they have sent us papers all the time, ryan has been a villanova fan since he was little because we were and it is just a dream come true. i cannot even explain it. >> reporter: ryan grew up around villanova, watching villanova but something that jay wright said to him when he was in seventh grade that planted the seed. yes. some day he would play at villanova. >> and jay goes ryan, ryan come over here. we both walk over. said ry, he goes your parents and you both bled blue and white. he said and so will you you some day. >> reporter: ryan is known for tough, gritty play but growing up he was good at everything. >> he was very competitive.

anything that he was into he was good at. he was good at football. he was good at baseball, and good at basketball. >> reporter: i should say he is definitely a leader. their son led this team to the final four and who knows, possibly beyond that, not many people, can say that. don, back to you. >> all right, leslie, thank you what a great story that is. wild cat fans arriving, four bus loads of students left campus today for philadelphia international where they board aid direct charter flight, to the university, which received 700 students ticket for the final four and they disappeared quickly as would you expect. the tickets were distributed through a lottery and those, who attended the most regular season games, had the best chance to win. >> pretty hard to get. i got student tickets and they ran out in the first ten minutes. then same with the plane tickets they ran out in the first ten minutes. ill was lucky to get both student tickets and the plane tickets.

"eyewitness news" reporter cleve bryan, has the story. >> reporter: for 28 years douglass hoagie has been patrolling the streets of the salem city. it hasn't been easy or dull. >> i remember one time there was a 13-inch television set thrown at me but missed me. >> reporter: after fighting a good fight he is retiring. >> i remember saying to myself i will never make 20 years.

blue skies, from just an hour or two ago have been replace by ominous looking cloud cover. as these systems, these storms push from the west. they are moving pretty slowly that is because they are drifting, to the north and east, so it is a slow progression of these storms into your region. look at storm scan 36789 you can see what i mean. storms kind of moved from portions of eastern maryland into lancaster county. notice trajectory they are taking to the north and east. it is slow movement, due eastward but we are seeing those storms push into delaware county at the moment and just starting to make their way in to philadelphia right now moving through portions of the main line right along the northeast extension of the turnpike and from chester county in to delaware county and northern delaware you are seeing some storms. none of these are severe except for this one moving into mercer county, new jersey right here, the others, just strong and gusty. biggest threat heavy rain and that could lead to major slow downs on the roads as rain pound against windshield and gusty wind. is there your strongest storm that has pushed out of bucks county and moving through portions of new jersey.

temperatures right now temperature still warm enough to support storm formation. we are near 80 degrees. seventy-eight in philadelphia. seventy-seven in wilmington. by sunday these temperatures will be almost 35 to 40 degrees colder, as we see temperatures really plumet as we head in the weekend. let's break it down. we have an arctic active pattern. here are highlights. snow shower saturday night, high wind, worst of it, early sunday morning wind gusting to 50 or 60 miles an hour. sunday wind chills in the 20's and 30's. another snow shower monday night and then another cold, windy day on tuesday. very active pattern, you can see showers develop overnight. we have rain, mainly south and east tomorrow morning and that will clear up by noon. we will get sun back and then here is your arctic front coming through overnight saturday night and sunday morning. couple snow showers. wind will be worst part of that. another chance of showers for monday into tuesday. your high wind watch is denoted by that brownish orange color there gusts 50 to 60 miles an hour early sunday morning. you can see them tomorrow morning, wind not so bad.

they will pick up tomorrow afternoon but worst of it the is sunday morning when winds could gust to over 50 miles an hour. we have a freeze watch for portions of the region chester and montgomery counties overnight saturday night if you put flowers and plants out expect to have to cover them saturday night and gannon monday night and tuesday night. showers, redeveloping overnight morning rain for your saturday, wind increase, we will see sun in the afternoon, sunday, we will start day with wind chills around 24 degrees in the afternoon not feeling better than 35 or so with those winds. watch for damage, power outage and tree branches down. the tuesday another frigid day and then start to warm up a little bit as we head into next thursday. stay there we will
