watch as well that goes into effect tomorrow. but first, the mother of a seven week old baby abducted from the king of prussia mall speaks out. her message to the woman accused of stealing her baby. good friday evening. i'm jessica dean. ukee washington has the night off. tonight we are learning more about the suspect in this case and what she's telling police. "eyewitness news" reporter david spunt is live in the sat center with new details. david. >> reporter: jessica little ahsir simmons is home safe with his family in philadelphia. his mother told me she's afraid to take him out in public. in the meantime the alleged kidnapper is behind bars on half a million dollars bail. she told authorities cherie gets the whole thing. for almost five hours seven we're old simmons was a stranger one who that's right, sir say took him from his mother inside king of prussia mall. >> i'm just blessed and i'm just lucky to be holding my son right now. to be holding him in my arms after what happened yesterday is a blessing. >> reporter: malika hunter is

paranoid about losing her son again. police say the woman in this surveillance video is cherie amoore. she appeared before a judge on friday and faces several charg charges. >> she has told our investigators that she did not go to the mall with the intention to steal baby. >> reporter: but malika hunt says that's what happened. so a moore's intentions don't really matter. hunter told "eyewitness news" that amoore started a friendly conversation in the mall. hunter says she became distrac distracted tendon to go another child and amoore told ahsir out of his stroller and made the escape. >> she told investigators she gave birth to a bobby bay on february 11th which died a few hours later. we have not been able to confirm any of that story. my sister suffered the loss just as well as did you but you don't see her running around tabling people's children much that's no excuse. it's no excuse to do what you did. >> reporter: police arrested amoore in wayne late thursday night. authorities say she voluntarily gave the back to his family.

according to court documents amoore told authorities she had out of body experience and was overwhelmed by the feeling of holding an inter fan again. amoore's public defender had no comment when asked if his client was ever pregnant and if she lost a child. >> i don't even want to take my children nowhere. i don't even want them out in public. i just want to stay where i'm at. i'm with family y want to be out. >> reporter: amoore is the daughter of pennsylvania republican party leader ren nay amoore the family is not commenting on camera but did release a statement. it reads "the amoore family appreciates all who have reached out with prayers and all the positive messages in this difficult time. our focus is on our daughter's health and wellness. we would that you would respect our privacy and we have no further comments at this time ". the younger amoore will be in court on april 15th. reporting live in the sat center tonight david spunt cbs3 "eyewitness news". >> all right, david, thank you. stay with "eyewitness news" as new details emerge in this story. when we're not here on tv you

can fine the latest at cbsphilly.com. turning now to cbs3 exclusive. philadelphia police are gearing up to battle the growing crisis of human trafficking which is destroying the lives of children lured into the sex trade. a landmark new task force in our area is among the first of its kind in the country. and "eyewitness news" reporter walt hunter tells us the new initiative is targeting predators and bringing new hope for victims. >> reporter: he's a human trafficker prosecutors say charged with patting his pockets with cash earned by a 16-year-old girl he supplied with drugs as he pushed her ever deeper into prostitution. >> so many people are victimized by this. it's absolutely scary. >> these two women accuse accusf pros to us at a mainline massage parlor suspected victims of traffickers police say but shockingly as adults, they're the exception. for most, the horror starts between the ages of 12 to 15.

>> you hear 12 years old. my god. it's just something that's absolutely astounding. >> they have been stripped of everything that a child normally would possess. >> reporter: judge due mass says the children she sees in her special human trafficking court almost all carry the same emotional scars. 90% sexually abused as children, run aways with no families. perfect targets for predators. luring them into the sex trade. >> they are looking for love in all the wrong places. and that's exactly how they become so vulnerable to the predators. >> the kid who wants to model. the kid that wants to be a singer or background dances find themselves victimized. they're selling young girls on the internet every day. >> reporter: human trafficking so profitable here that some drug dealers now are abandoning narcotics selling women instead. a hidden crime that unlike drug

dealing rarely leads to investigations or anyone being arrested. >> you can sell a drug one time. you can sell a victim over and over and over again. >> reporter: but now for the first time, philadelphia police are in effect declaring war on human traffickers. a special task force among the first of its kind in the country with a single mission, saving victims and putting predators behind bars. >> it's a new thing. it's something we have not done. >> reporter: it's a huge challenge because police say in human trafficking, unlike most crimes, before you can act rest suspects, you must first find the victims who almost always hide from police as well. >> they've been brain washed into believing that everyone is against them except the trafficker. >> no one is standing up, you know, i'm a victim of human trafficking. pick me, pick me. >> even before they fine the first victim arrest the first suspect this land mark task

force has an urgent warning. human traffickers are destroying an ever growing number of young lives here. lives these dedicated police and community members now vow they will protect. >> these young people have never experienced what true love is. unconditional love like we're going to love on you until you get better. >> reporter: walt hunter cbs3 "eyewitness news". 13-year-old boy is in the hospital after he was accidentally hit by a police car. the officer was responding or reportedly responding to an assist in the area when the child was hit at the intersection of broad street and fair montgomery avenue. the boy was taken to hahnemann hospital in stable condition. that officer was not hurt. villanova while cat fans are taking over houston. four bus loads of students left campus today for philadelphia international where they boarded a direct charter flight. the university received 700 student tickets for tomorrow's

convict. the fbi won't reveal who helped them unlock an iphone used by one of the san bernardino shooters. but signs are pointing toward an israeli company. according to cnn it was an elite group of engineers at a company that has a history of everybody the fbi on the date they announced they unlock his phone they signed a contract with the company which make the device that can download a phone's memory to a flash drive in seconds. a party in ardmore tonight mark a very special occasion. through. not a whole lot happening outside right now just some scattered showers and storms here and there, but the actual brunt of our neck system arctic cold front that's the system you see moving through the great lakes at the moment. and that will move through tomorrow. that's what's going to bring the whipped and eventually that drastic drop in temperatures. right now we just have few scattered showers outside nothing strong. no severe thunderstorms anything like that. mainly some showers over portions of south jersey and delaware it is still very warm outside. 72 in dover. 67 right now in philadelphia. and 65 degrees in allentown. but here's a look at what's ahead as we go through the weekend it will be an arctic and active pattern. this starts as early as tomorrow and continues into next week. item temperatures really plunging here a very pronounced pattern in the atmosphere that will bring us some changes in the weather. highly changeable weather for the next week or so. snow shower possible saturday night as the arctic front comes through that's also going to produce very strong potentially damaging winds early sunday morning. on sunday your wind chills in the 20's and 30's.

another snow shower monday or monday night then it's cold and windy again on tuesday. here's wait looks like. some rain early tomorrow morning. looks like it's mainly south and east of philadelphia. so that's good news. it's shifting further east. there will be some showers aroundly we have the hot chocolate 5k and 15k in the city if you're running. that one and the rain doesn't look like it will be that big of a deal. just some showers. it clears the coast. we get sun saturday afternoon here's our big weather maker this blast through late saturday night into sunday does have few snow showers associated with it sunday morning. then the winds really pick up the pace then we've got to wash our next potential clipper system through the day monday that could bring another round of rain and snow showers. here's your high wind watch it's the vast majority of our region gusts 50 to 60 miles per hour wind advice add advisory sorry first time to the west. these winds are capable of causing damage here, guys. saturday night into sunday morning, again, gusts 50 to 60 downed branches and wires and
