airport as we await arrival of the national champions. trang? >> reporter: that is right, jessica it can happen at any moment. we are staring at the tarmac all of us waiting for team to a live. lots of excitement here, fans have been here for hours just waiting, just making sure that they are here, for when the plane toss arrive. there are preparations being made as you take a look over this, very large motorcade, i don't know if you can see all of this behind that staircase there but we saw some pretty high ranking police officials, radnor township, of course, will be leading that motorcade, with the players, when they do a live and hoed on to their buses to head over to that campus celebration. just about a half an hour ago we did see the plane, with father donahue, who is president of the villanova university, he had his plane and several alumni, they touched down just thrilled to be able to have this experience. we're waiting for this plane
5:01 pm
that everybody is waiting for now and i just check my little flight app tracker and it says about three or four minutes. you guys just might be coming back to me in a little bit. for now live from philadelphia international airport i'm's trang do for cbs-3 "eyewitness news". >> stand by, stand by. we will come right back to you. for now lets go live to "eyewitness news" reporter alexandria hoff on the villanova campus with the fans, alex. >> reporter: well, we're giving you a bird eye view here this place has been filling up, constant flow and more these student and alumni are just hearing the buzz, they are coming out here and they want to be part of history. take a look over here, this is just filled up, a a sea of blue and especially concentrated at that far corner right over there that is where team will be getting this luxurious greeting right into this place. they have velvet ropes and everything. you have to think for these young men what a big moment for them. this campus i mean i was
5:02 pm
hearing students earlier in the student center and i was just hearing students say they have not slept. i believe it. the celebration last night a loan, estimates were at about 7600 people for participation in that. put that into some perspective, the saturday night, that game had about 4500 people on campus celebrating, so this just keeps doubling. this stadium that holds 12,000. if it gets to that point it will have to happen what is going on all week people take to the streets i suppose but this is the place to be right now. we have been loving that shirt that says i want to party like 1985a side from the selfie snap chats and facebook post i think that is is what happening here right now. it has been such an exciting journey for this team and such a big moment. i'm sure they are just going to be soaking this in when they do a live and this crowd is anxiously await ago this moment. now back to you fromville know of stadium. >> alex, thanks.
5:03 pm
stand by. we will get back to you as well. still waiting for that plane to touchdown. we will take you they when it happens. sports director don bell, he is joining to us break town this game that everybody wants to watch that last shot, over and over again. >> everyone is debating about whether or not the this was the greatest national championship game ever. i'm in the hure about that but final two place, pretty good. it doesn't get any better than. that lets a's show you how it went down, final few seconds of this game. we will pick it up with know of by 13, marcus page that is absolutely sick. a clutch three, ties it up at 74. here comes wildcats. you cannot celebrate just yet. ryan arcidiacono, the senior, moving the ball down the court, leaves it for chris jenkins the junior out of maryland, draino. he had 14 points in the game. the those were three biggest ones, villanova wins 77-74 at the busesser. you have to look at rollie
5:04 pm
massimino last time they won he was head coach in 85. wow. first game, championship game, to end on a buzzer beater since 83. do i believe in just a second all time. incredible finish. >> you mentioned that 83 game. i saw that one. that the was a shot and a dunk, dunk that went in by lorenzo charles this shot, the way it all came about. >> that moment in time when shot takes off and is it going to go in. >> right, right, right. >> it was a classic moment. we see these things and think it is miraculous but those guys say you know what, we practiced that. >> he said that play they practice over and over and over again. >> we practice it every single time out. >> yes. >> that is how you make perfect. >> ryan will take the shot some times someone else takes the shot. >> unselfishness in that situation, tremendous. looking forward to these guys arriving. we are waiting for villanova to a live. they are what minutes away, from landing at philadelphia international airport. we will give you a live look
5:05 pm
right here. >> this is a a live look from chopper three over the a airport. we know that the plane carrying players and coach wright is very, very, very close. it should land in a few minutes. you see buses there. that is because they will i have 30 he leases court. this is no jump on the interstate and go home. this is quite a ceremony and they will have a police escort to load up those buses, head back to the villanova a campus where many, many fans are waiting for them there as well. >> if i remember walt hunter says they will not shut down highway they will just flow right into traffic. the it business rush hour time. >> it should be interesting to watch. >> yes. >> they do have have motorcades around traffic. >> it will be interesting to go hear what those guys to have say once they get to villanova campus. would you imagine many of them have have not slept. it has been a long 24 hours, of partying and celebrating and enjoying sometime with your family and your new family which is guys you played with every inning is will day. >> they have been through a lot together.
5:06 pm
>> we heard from coach wright earlier and he said they have been in a cacoon, really focused and not paying attention to what was going on in the quote outside world. he was like i'm not sure what the reception will be like when we get back i haven't paid attention. i think they will be pleasantly surprised. >> as years goes on it is harder for coach toes accomplish that. everybody has a smart phone. people are tweeting. and texting. and, it is hard to go in that cacoon mentality, and stay focused anne the fact they were able to do it in brooklyn, louisville and now houston it speaks volume to jay wright and folks of the team. >> their mobile devices have been turn off, they are on final approach i understand, they are buckled in. >> you have another job that we do in the know. >> i fly so much, i know whole routine but they are over camden which is over the river and they will be landing here at philadelphia international airport in just a matter of moments. our trang do is standing by she's waiting for them as
5:07 pm
well. trang, set the scene, for us, almost time. >> reporter: i have been waiting for quite a while for this plane to arrive. i'm checking any flight tracker app. i just refreshed and now it is saying 11 minutes. so what i'm understanding plane is over camden at moment. we will to have wait a little longer for this plane to get here. when the team does arrive they are definitely ready. there are officers on motorcycles and quite a few. you can see within right there there was a whole line, such a cool thing to see, also several radnor township police vehicles, this is quite the motorcade for people coming home during rush hour. very, very neat to see. just about a half an hour we saw president of the villanova a father donahue his plane touched down here the atlantic aviation with a slew of fans and also some so thrilled and we got to talk to him for just a second but he says he had to
5:08 pm
head back to campus because he did want to be there before these players arrived. whole bunch of excitement, fans out here all bundled up. we are just waiting for this team so, they will be out here when you come back when that happens. for now we are live from philadelphia international airport i'm trang do for "eyewitness news". >> we did see one plane, we have to remember that commercial flights are still coming in. >> yes. >> yes, right. >> and it takes anybody that landed at philadelphia international, even a charter flight, you got to get cleared to land. >> yes. >> you have to be patient. >> but you have to get even if you can imagine the players, coaches right now there has got to be butterflies in your stomach excitement. >> yes, sure. >> to bring this home. one thing to celebrate last night but now to bring it home to the fans. >> allow it to be part of your life because i think as they were going through this tournament our leslie van arsdal was with the team the
5:09 pm
entire time, you keep everybody at the arms length. >> you have to. >> right. >> so now you can open your arms and hug it, embrace it, bring it in and really celebrate your accomplishment and doesn't just start when season starts in october, november but type of thing you start working out the in the summer. you are going through it all. you are in the weight room. do you things to get ready for this moment. when it finally happens i can only imagine what it feels like. >> i would have loved to have been in that locker room have after the game after what you just said, all of the work that they do and off season and all work they do during the season and that includes class too. they are out there. >> you bring that one woman who is a professor for them, they have to bala lot. that is a job. they are doing all of the full work and practicing and playing and you are on the road. >> no doubt bit. >> one of the interesting point that jay wright made to us recently was back in 2009, villanova was here before.
5:10 pm
they were here in the final four and they lost. jay says now in 2016 the event has gotten even bigger. >> sure. >> it is in the seven years since, more media members, there are more questions. >> yes. >> yes, it was unreal, like a show. >> it has change tremendously with the police escorts and all these things once we land. this is a massive a collection. >> so again, you are looking at philadelphia international airport. this is where the plane will touchdown from there they will load on to buses, and get a police escort to the villanova university campus where students and fans and alumni are all waiting to welcome them back to the football stadium. you you see it looks like they have got, they are moving around there, hopefully final, final approach is closey understand there are fire trucks down there, but they are there to shoot an inverted
5:11 pm
water cannon v so the plane can come through v for victory, v for villanova the plane has landed, and we think this is the plane thaw you are looking the at right now carrying the villanova players. hopefully we can get confirmation. >> we will find out. >> if there is water cannons we necessity that is indeed correct but we have reason to believe that is the plane carrying the villanova players. 20916 national champions. >> how about that does that sound great. >> yes, that is right. >> really does. >> they will get situated there and it will be a great moment as we have seen, and trang and walt hunter will be ride ago long with police as they do police escort for this but we have seen fans are there they are in the just at the campus. these are the first fans they will get to meet as they come home to the philadelphia area. >> interesting thing, guys, on selection sunday several weeks ago villanova missed the opportunity to play at home.
5:12 pm
remember the sweet 16 at wells fargo and at the time when i talk to jay wright he said after the announcement you get over it, move on. they ended up going to louisville. jay wright later an ad mythed, that was a problem. i had an issue with that. it rubbed me the wrong way. these guys were motivated by it. here they are, they didn't get a chance to play at home during tournament but when they finally do come home, how sweet is this? they are getting reception they would have gotten at sweet 16 at wells fargo center. >> yes, number two seed but they vary well could have been number one they lost to seton hall. they played like a number one. they played like a number one overall seed for all six games. >> ukee, you mentioned they played them all. they beat the giants of this sport. so kansas, a number one seed. they go down. unc, a number one seed, you go down.
5:13 pm
>> let's not forget that score begins oklahoma a. >> they shoot 70 percent and beat best player in college basketball in buddy hield. >> and now you reap benefits of the victory. plane pulling in there at philadelphia a international airport. ukee, the fire trucks there to drench them in a victory v of water. >> i want to know who thought of that. >> turn it on. >> clever people. also fans to take this moment in as well. one plane has already landed with vip's with the college president. these are the guys that won the national championship. >> what is going on that plane, they are looking out window with their cell phones. >> my goodness. we have to check those twitter accounts right now i'm sure they are blowing up. >> they are taking pictures from the outside, people on the outside taking pictures, and all angles i'm sure of the great things on social media
5:14 pm
these days. >> safe flight, they are back home. >> one of the things that we're experiencing here too is we hear the term nova nation. there are reporters in the field, alexandria, trang, greg they are talking to fans and you are seeing like we spoke to the women earlier to was an under graduate, and her law school education. we are seeing multiple generations of villanova fans and students, alumni, and, it is incredible. it is like a family reunion we are seeing right the now. >> just seeing coach mass and ed pinckney and fans and former players were all over that arena a. >> generations. >> the plane has appears to have come to a stop there. there is a luggage cart moving ever closer to it. we will see if it can get anything off. but again, a waiting national
5:15 pm
champions. you see those fans we were talking about. it is not warm out there. it is a beautiful day but it is chilly and they do not care. >> they don't care. >> all afternoon lets think bit, go back to last night when people were just getting rid of the shirts. >> yes. >> you're talking about the celebration on campus, that is right, where some 38 degrees last night. i don't know what happens with students or people when they celebrate when they start taking off their clothes it is called youth, don, exactly. >> yes. >> a lot of enthusiasm and excitement. you have to give props to for the students that are on campus because they will have to wait, it is rush hour. it will be a little bit before they can get back to campus. those students and fans are really staking it out and they are ready to go. >> did we just get siked out. >> this is another plane. >> is this not another plane. >> we will know for sure.
5:16 pm
>> this is why it is live tv, we will figure it out. >> that is the plane. >> the wind working there. >> that is the plate plane. >> the boys are back in town. >> that is wonderful. >> we will take them no matter what plane they are on. >> i wonder what that looks like from inside the plane, what is up with the water, what is going on. >> there is a a ground shot as plane rolls into philadelphia international coming back from houston texas where they have been since what, don thursday. >> they went on wet. they had practice, they played saturday and they had practice thursday and friday. it has been a long stretch. they started the tournament run in brooklyn which is pretty close but you still to have get up to the city and they have been on the road for
5:17 pm
a few weeks. then on to louisville and then houston. it has been a long, long stretch. once these guys start celebrating, they will sleep for a few days, so well. >> when you travel like that you become so much of a family. i can see that when the team first left for tournament, and they left their practice arena for last time and some of the players, kissed the v and jay wright doing interviews. you can tell how close this team was as that door is about to open and your champions are getting out. >> are very close to seeing them. i think smiles will be pretty big. >> no doubt. >> exciting time. >> then we will kick off what will be another probably hour or two of festivities before this is all over and then parade on friday. >> exactly. >> busy week for these guys. it continues, as we watch someone there step up to the door and we will see what happens. >> are you ready to come out.
5:18 pm
>> greet the people. >> i'm having flashbacks to 83 when sixers came back from l.a., moses malone had his sunglasses on. >> here we go, door opening. >> again, national champions of the ncaa basketball tournament, villanova university, wildcats will be deplaning here stepping foot in philadelphia a for the first time since claiming title last night, and that incredible outrageous victory. >> buzzer beating winy wouldn't be surprised if jay is addressing the team, fellow, we're back home, let's do this like we expect it. we are the champs. walk like a chapel beyond. >> this is good. >> absolutely great. >> they will deplane, get on the the buses. we were talking to they will to have greet the fans just for a minute, one would think. >> yes. >> it is long they will want to give them a a little greeting. we follow them as do that and
5:19 pm
then get on the buses. but here they come out of the charter plane from houston back to fill. there we go a lot of waving. i'm sure coaching staff, coaching staff was up front. >> normally they are. >> kid get in the back. it is like eating at thanksgiving, you get the small table. some of the families are on board this flight. the luggage will go on one of the buses as well. that will take a little time. these guys are probably so exhausted. you can see body language like wow, okay. >> first time a lot of them have stepped foot in a while. >> the man with the hat right there one of the assistant coaches mo howard, son of the fill basketball product that went to the university of maryland. he has his final four cap on,
5:20 pm
one of the many great assistants for jay wright. >> you have to think about these seniors, ochefu, archie dea ago know these kid that have been there for all these years to be able to go out like this. i know people talked about that. >> yes. >> there is jay wright. >> there is jay wright. >> he got his glasses on, v for victory, v for villanova a. >> giving a little cheer there. >> there he is. >> we call him gq jay. >> yes, no doubt. >> as they come off. >> there are multiple planes, they allowed some of the students to go as well and they took a charter plane which was a great deal, enabled them to be there for this as well. then vip, the head of the school but this was the plane carrying the champions. this was the one everyone's
5:21 pm
eyes has been on, the one everybody has been tracking for the last hour or so. >> more than likely they will get on that bus and head out of the airport and go i-95 south for a short distance and bear right and head on the blue route for 15 or 20 minutes and head straight to campus. >> we wish them all the best in the traffic. >> you say 15 to 20 minutes but we have been on that drive before. >> police lights and sirens should help clear the road. >> folks will move over to the side. >> there you go, it is windiy need one of them caps. >> we all need some swag. >> yes. >> hopefully players able to get their hand on some. somebody has a lot of bags. >> what is that a two and a half, three hour flight to houston. >> probably, yeah. >> you know they didn't sleep. >> that is bridges right there. miguel bridges off the flight. one of the real cool rituals
5:22 pm
when you win final four you get to cut down the nets and you can see that net right there on the hats. normally guys can you off a string and tie it around the snap back part of the hat. something that you hold on to forever. >> that is one of the those things you don't let go of soon. arcidiacono, on the ground as well. the crowd has been excited on their own. they have been excited but then unite them all together and that will be pretty explosive and word that a lot of those student using electric. >> yes. >> electric. >> yes, yes. >> it looks like it was warm in houston. he breaks out the shorts. >> wow. >> temperatures change a little bit up north. >> yes, inn deed. >> they are feeling love of the fans following nova nation, no matter who or where
5:23 pm
you went to school, there is some talk about some people in the big five won't cheer for villanova but everybody is a basketball fan now. this is great for our air, great for the school we have a national champion for our area. >> you have to respect it. that is the thing. some people may say i went to st. joes, i went to temple, i'm not for nova. a at very least you have to respect what they did. this is an epic run and you don't see this very often. >> not at all. >> is there arcidiacono right there. >> ryan from langhorne pennsylvania, the v for victory and villanova and game winning shot. he played in 144 games in his nova career. >> that is great. >> when cats in all four years. >> all four years. >> freshman. >> that says a lot about that young man. his college career was game winning assist for the
5:24 pm
championship. >> what a way to go out, how exciting is that. >> again, just joining us and saying is what going on, the villanova wildcats, the 2016 mens basketball champions have arrived back home to the philadelphia area. they are a at philadelphia international airport. they are boarding buses, headed to villanova university a big celebration is planned we are told we will hear from coach jay wright, some of the players as well and notice all of the law enforcement vehicles they have their lights on met or cycles because they will have a motorcade leading the way, also fans gathered both there at the airport and also at campus. >> it looks like daniel ochefu the senior big man, the only big man that nova plays which makes them unorthodox in this tournament and in the country. this is a big win for small ball because a lot of teams don't play it, can't play it,
5:25 pm
jay wright making a statement by winning a national championship by playing small ball, featuring one big man ochefu senior 6-foot 11. >> he is 6/11, tallest is 6-foot eight or seven but they play basketball. if you have to block out, fundamentals and you know the game it doesn't matter how tall you are, it is the effort, this team shows so much effort at both end of the court. >> great game. >> we kept saying ukee last night they guard you you when they get off the bus. >> as soon as you get off the bus villanova is ready to guard you. that is exactly what they did last nights. >> so well prepared. i love it as we heard from coach over the last few days they are saying every time i don't even have to now say things sometimes they just know by look at my eye or they know booth way game is going exactly what i want them to do and that is what a lot of time with these guys does, just this he just kept getting
5:26 pm
better and that is chemistry and hard work. >> that is a family right there. you notice guys were hugging the bus driver. something tells me that is their regular bus crew, yes. >> those are the guys. >> family we are so happy you are watching our special coverage of the home coming of the villanova wildcats national champions. we will take a short break and continue our coverage. after a time out. prediabetes is a serious medical condition that increases the risk for developing type 2 diabetes. more than 1 in 3 adults has prediabetes, but ninety percent don't know it. you could be one of them. talk to your doctor about small lifestyle changes that can prevent you from getting type 2 diabetes. sponsored by nacdd with support from the centers for disease control and prevention. visit cdc.gov/prediabetes

5:32 pm
>> lets get this thing on the roads. josh is a great sport. he loved it. fan has particular. >> this is a long time coming. long time in the making i should say. over last couple years, last year they were number one seed and lost to a number eight seed in nc state and then two seeds the year before that. these things kind of build up, normally you get a championship team it is not just one year, isolated incident. this is a lot of frustration that builds up and get berth and better and finally get over hump. a guy like ryan arcidiacono quick story last year he is celebrating his 21st birthday and he is out in philadelphia and watching the ill let eight on tv after his team goes out in the second round. it burned him up. burn him up. >> that motivated him the next summer, in doubt. >> he said i want to be a belter leader, help us on offense when we get issues and
5:33 pm
can't get buckets, it is on me. then he comes up with the assist last night. it comes full circle. >> no doubt bit. >> years in the making it is not just luck, it is just hard work and it is motivation and putting the hours in. >> these are lessons about the game of life as well working together as a team doing things you need to do nerd to succeed. they are doing a lot on the court but that will transfer after their playing days as adults going in the world. that is an important thing jay wright loves to express. >> jay wright's message to the team before the game last night was i don't want this to define you, he kay. this game is big with you after this i want you to go object a be a great husband, i want you to be a great father, a great brother, whatever it is, okay. this is just a moment in time in your life but after this you go on to be better then what you are right now. >> no doubt bit. >> so we mentioned that the buses are heading to the
5:34 pm
villanova university campus. lets take a peak is what waiting for them when they get there. just a few friends, a few claus friends who filled the stadium there to welcome them, the stage in front of the fans where team will show off that trophy. we will hear from the players, we know we will hear from jay wright and this group is ready to hear from all of them. they have been waiting since last night. >> since last night. >> no doubt about it. >> i know that intersection in lancaster avenue is rather crowded right now. once again here's a look at chopper three as buses are continuing to be loaded with equipment, everything that came from houston, the players, alumni, coaching staff and so forth. >> they will do that and if that is not enough they have a a parade coming up on friday, which is going to be great fun at 1:00 friday afternoon in center city philadelphia. the celebrating does not stop on this tuesday.

5:46 pm
>> that is right. >> to get starters and so they are in position today and look, ready to play. the lights are flashing. >> loading up those motorcycles and they will lead the way as the team head back to the main line to celebrate with all of the fans, a alumni, everybody gathered there. we're all interested to see how this goes during rush hour. >> would i say rush hour is probably the only thing that has been able to stop wildcats. >> good call. >> here we go. >> pretty much. >> but they are so goody wouldn't be surprise if they go through it like butter. >> find a way to go through it. >> like butter. >> got that right. >> 2016 national champions are on the move, back to villanova being led by the police motorcade and our walt hunter business them we will go to him in a bit as we get closer to campus there but this is an exciting moment. it is not often you get a met

5:48 pm
want to say miraculous but it is incredible. team that they beat along the the way these are all top teams in the the country, unc is number two in the country right now, kansas is three, oklahoma is four. miami is eight. >> wow. >> okay. that is four top ten teams that they have beat. >> the way they dit, offensively they shot 60 percent from the field and all six games. >> that is a record. >> exactly, 58 percent in the tournament, that is an all time record. >> they are playing basketball a while now. so it is 2016 and we have all time record from that team in that bus, going to that campus and to that end we know that part of the i-95 has been shut down for motorcade so we can tell you they will get there faster then the rest of us would but that part of the i-95 is shut down. >> do you want to update the
5:49 pm
people at the stadium now. >> would you get back to greg and let him know they will take i-95 south to 476, 476 down to lancaster avenue making a right and heading down to the football stadium. >> our walt hunter is with the motorcade for a unique perspective, walt, how is it? >> reporter: feels positively presidential. we are behind the buses carrying the team on our way back to campus. we are riding live on cbs-3 in a radnor police car behind radnor motorcycle team and also philadelphia a highway patrol highway motorcycles. buses containing the team we are just leaving the airport, a last burst of fans about a dozen or two that we just went past waving signs and nova banners and as we are beginning to a approach now on island road, i-95 where we will turn to head to the blue route i can see police cars up
5:50 pm
ahead. they have got traffic stopped at 291 and i-95 because there is nothing stopping this motorcade right now just like there was nothing stopping that nova team. you saw them grabbing their bags. as we are looking live, from inside radnor police car. you may see a few fans. people coming out of the motels here, waving along at the intersection at 291. sound of police motorcycles and sirens even the highway patrol officers and traffic officers, waving and cheering as the motorcade moves on. we are just a little bit short of i-95, far up a head of me just a little bit a head of these buses you can see motorcycle escort beginning to make a left turn on to i-95, the buses will be following, we will be following live here in the radnor police car. obviously a lot of people waiting for to us arrive on campus. they have been gathered all
5:51 pm
afternoon in the football stadium at villanova. the flight took longer than we planned about a half an hour ago and as you are looking live the bus making a left turn. looking to the right you can see traffic backed up but you can see police cars there with their flashing lights, in one is complaining and just a few moments one of the most interesting rush hours in the history of our area, people heading home from work are going to see a lot of flashing lights. they are going to see buses and the super nova team now head ago long the lanes of i-95. we're entering the just below the a airport right now. traffic totally stopped to our left. i-95 southbound shut down at the air poverty at this moment. motorcycles are making sure everybody safe and cars are stopped and pulled over and we are getting a a clear through on i-95. this is unbelievable. it is rush hour moving south on i-95, but below the airport, and we are the only vehicles in town.
5:52 pm
motorcycle will drill team from radnor pd, another motorcycle from philadelphia high was patrol going past us now and ahead of us nova team inside buses on their way to the stadium. there is not a car anywhere, everybody should dream about a rush hour like this. we are having one, it could only happen with villanova winning the national championship just up above probably can't see it police air and helicopters, looking down on villanova team right now and as we move up alongside buses you can see up there a little wait the flashing lights of the motorcycle escort taking as you long the lanes of i-95. quite an amazing sight as we pass airport here, there are literally no cars in the the southbound lanes of i-95 the at the heart of the evening rush hour. and much as they own ncaa and they own basketball in this entire country right now villanova team they are owning this interstate highway. there is none getting in their
5:53 pm
way anymore then they got in their way during playoffs because this team is bound back to campus. we are moving along so well if you are wondering and if you are watching and wondering when we will get to campus for the big festivities and the big excitement it is probably only going to be a maybe another 20 minutes or so because motorcycles and buses are now picking up speed as we go south of the airport and we will be moving right along up the blue route. ramps right now just above the airport are being closed down to traffic in order to free up 95 for villanova team. total of three buses, right now. team having arrived at the airport about a half an hour ago. they came off the plane, took probably better part of the 30 minutes or so to get their baggage. handshaking out on the runway and are special fire department solute, fire department hoses, forming an inverted v on the runway with their water cannons soluting the teams in the the buses up ahead. you have to wonder what this team is thinking after an

enormous win last night, moving along all of this excitement. this gives you a feeling what it is like to be in a presidential motorcade. just catching up with us i'm walt hunter for cbs-3 live from the southbound lanes of i-95 just below airport we are riding in a radnor police car and we have join motorcycle hees cord, villanova team and three buses and we are moving along a totally shut down lanes of i-95 south. we will join the blue route in five to ten minutes up to the blue route, off at route 30 and then probably the most exciting part of this entire trip when we get to campus on the villanova campus we will be seeing signs, we will be seeing people and certainly we will be seeing a crush of thousands waiting for us there. even as we were leaving the airport a short time ago we did see people holding signs, waving, even the police officers along the side of the road giving a bit of the solute to the villanova team as they go by.
5:55 pm
this is a victory far from the main line campus is obviously touched hearts of so many people in this area you you can only oner what the people north bound on i-95 passing us right now are thinking. everybody necessary about the villanova victory. we're heading for campus. we are heading for stadium. we will be live with reports as this very special teams head off. live from i-95 back inside to you you. >> walt, like all of us here enjoy the ride. we will get back to you. >> that is a sight to see, exciting day we are following every step as villanova wildcats return home as national champions. >> we will take a to more live continuing coverage right here on cbs-3. glad you are with us family we will be right back.
