12:40 pm
standing out at market street, with the parade route, so we have got again partly sunny skies for the next couple hours and rest of the day, low to mid 50's at best on the thermometer but with that breeze even though it is not coming out of the north it is still a chilly breeze and it will make it feel cooler, so hopefully everybody is bundled up down there with their sweat shirts and fleeces in navy and white of course. looking forward. you thought today was chilly, check out the saturday and sunday in the 40's. again another dose of winter on the way, and this time around, it comes as a price of some snowfall as well which we will have much more detail on as the show progresses. guys, back inside to you. >> we will see you shortly. thanks much. as you can imagine parade of champions will be affecting traffic and mass transit. >> that is why we have meisha john on standing by with what you can expect, hi there meisha. >> hi nicole and ukee. what i'm's concerned about is mass transit. obviously it will be very, very busy. i will show you center city 23rd and market. as you can see that vehicle
12:41 pm

12:43 pm
12:45 pm

12:46 pm
forty-third and market as the parade takes route. you just had a pretty special guest. >> i did, yes, we just talk to jay wright moments ago. you can see the guys are all on the bus right now. you can see ryan there holding the trophy. hi guys, what is up. thank you. and jay just said that they could not be happier right now. they say this is all exciting but when they pulled up here and saw people and as they were driving, people, they were honking, waving, and just so excited for them. they say it is just really now starting to set in what is going on here and you know, this parade is so, so special to them. we will hear more for jay, later on today but what a send off for these guys, having the time of their life right now, back to you guys. >> you know they are. and so is jay wright. there are fans that want him to stay at villanova. i think he loves villanova. you may have heard some of the
12:47 pm
teams in the nba, specifically the phoenix suns, i believe want him to leave and guide their franchise but jay is a college guy, he is not even going to think about that right now. i hopefully he will stay but time will tell. get ready to take on the walk on the wild side as we continue a thrilling new attraction that opens up at adventure acquire number camden. >> just inch's above a giant shark tank. "eyewitness news" report jan carabao shows us a unique new view. >> this is typically a view reserved for biologist, then adventure aquarium. 400-pound sharks, whimming just beneath the water surface but this view is on full display at all that is if you dare to cross this. >> throughout the aquarium you you see them from the sides, underneath and now from the top which is a neat element. >> reporter: aquarium's new attraction call the shark bridge and the v shape rope suspension bridge comes with a mighty title.
12:48 pm
>> largest bridge of its kind in the world. >> reporter: this shark bridge was quite the under taking for adventure aquarium, at 81 feet long it took about 4 tons of steel and enough rope here to span 63 football field. below, the 550,000-gallon tank, home to close to 3,000 sand bank, sand tiger and nurse sharks. >> it is a very special experience, something much bigger then you and you are always thinking what are they thinking. it will be cool to see the reactions to be literally on top of these giant cars. >> reporter: not only does the bridge provide a behind the scenes look at how biologist care for the creatures, but the exhibit allows educators to be debunk widely believed shark tails. >> sharks in general get a bad rep for being man heaters. they are in the like that at all. they are like puppies. >> adventure aquarium has charges collection of sharks on the east coast and now there are only inches away
12:49 pm
separated by just rope and steel. you cannot get any closer unless you take a dip. on the camden waterfront, jan carabao for cbs-3 "eyewitness news". >> puppies. >> puppies. >> filled with lots of teeth. >> yes. >> one way to describe them. >> katie joins us now with our forecast. anybody looking for rain. >> so excited for the parade. >> how exciting. >> that warms our hearts, chilly day like this but i have to tell but some snow we have lots to get to in a short amount of time. i will get you right out there. i know hearing word snow in the month of april might seem so bizarre but it isn't that atypical guys. we will look back at last couple years and latest snowfall measurable at least at philly international, last year it was as late as march 30th but go back to 2014, april 15th, tax day, we ended up with a trace and i'm sure, that is your birthday april 15th. >> you got it. >> yes, trace of snow on your birthday in 2014. what were you back then like 12. >> yes, that is it.
12:50 pm
>> storm scan three, lets go there next we were watching this first system retreat where clouds have been rolling through, the whole reason we have wind stim in effect setting up a wind tunnel effect down through sky scrapers on market street. keep that in mine. for those trying to jet down to the parade, and this is next call that came through. it is a clipper but more juiced up, from that but it starts to intensify, chances, start to climb, for a coating of mainly unpaved, northern most counties, but here's your future weather forecast, 6:00 a.m. tomorrow, things are getting underway. this is what happens under time. we are rotating through the a area it will be rain, and snow showers, throughout the course of the day. some of you seeing it off and on, some of you may be seeing longer window of a time then others because of of the way the band set up but bottom line is i could see a coat to go an up to an inch or two of
12:51 pm
unpaved surface accumulation tomorrow. further north, maybe a meager coating here in philadelphia. if that but it is scattered rain a snow showers, i think especially further south you go, union have a a match here tonight. stays dry for that. it will be chilly a at river rink where we have that wind out of the west at ten to 15 miles an hour. but dry, lower in temperature at kick off is 48. overnight low is 35 into early tomorrow morning but watch for the rain and snow to mix in. it is coldest day of our forecast. we have had headed forward to sunday still sunshine here but it is still chilly as well and then the phillies season home opener happening on monday. we should rebound to seasonal territory by that point but we are watching for potential of some showers on that day as well. i will keep you posted don't you worry but that is an important game day forecast, just to let you know. >> thanks, katie. >> we are moments away from our first championship parade since 2008. we have live crews staged all along market street, for live continuing coverage starting a at 1:00 o'clock and less than
12:52 pm
ten minutes keep it right here for all of the wildcats excitement. >> is there one guy pretty stoke, ryan arcidiacono our pat gallen hung out with the know of guard as he got ready for his parade moment with a new haircut, you have to look good for the floats. we will be right back with that story, stay with us.
