5:18 pm
like no. >> um-hmm, you know it is bad. >> unfortunately we have got some snow in april and it is coming will through most of the day tomorrow. the this is april and it is not february. if this were february we would be talking about a pretty significant system even though it is a clipper it has moisture with it. lets get in to it. we have a lot to talk about it. we will look live on our live neighborhood network center at palmyra cove nature park across the river to the city. you can see a few cloud and brakes of sun we have had a few brief sprinkles with snow pellet coming down in portions of the area. we will have video of that in just a little bit. all and all not i bad day for the parade, better than yesterday and better than tomorrow, also better than sunday and better than monday as well. we have pick the best day of the week for the villanova parade. storm scan three again clear skies in our area for now but here is your clipper, this system will bring that dreaded april snow to the region as we head into the day on saturday. the notice precipitation is
5:19 pm
very convective. you see darker patches here and there, that is what it will be like tomorrow as well. because of that i expect snow totals and rain totals to widely var a across the region. the this is not just a solid shield, heavier pockets here and there throughout the day. very tough to pinpoint these snow totals at the moment. temperatures 50 degrees in philadelphia 46 in allentown. 37 degrees in mount pocono. watch how temperatures drop overnight. as we head into tomorrow morning here comes the snow. notice as always i-95 tomorrow morning will be the dividing line but at 8:00 in the morning temperatures are already above freezing. the grassy surfaces, bridges, overpass top at the car could see snow accumulation in the morning. early in the morning it may stick to the road, especially colder spots, a and overpasses, and afternoon as we warm up in the mid to upper 30's, the road should start to handle it betterment rain squeeze nothing here still snow at 1:00 off to the west. that rotates out of here by four or 5:00 and we will clear out temperatures plumet to
5:20 pm
below freezing overnight saturday into sunday morning. we are looking at a coating to an inch in philadelphia and suburbs. one to 3 inches possible in our far north and western suburbs. highest elevations will get highest amount. not out of the question someone gets 1 inches, often out of the question that some spots only get a coating because it is widely variable snowfall amount. plan for the roads to not really be to affect because of the strong april sun a angle and fact that most of the precipitation is falling during the day. temperatures in the 30's and 40's. our latest snow in the past few years, latest we have is april 15th in 2014, just a trace, last year march 30th was last snow and we got .1-inch. we will tell you about latest snow and latest time we got an inch and just a trace. for your saturday cold with period of snow and rain throughout day. 40 degrees is your high. that may be optimistic, for some parts of the area, but good news is 40 is better than 30, if it were 30 we would be talking about completely
5:21 pm
different scenario with regard to the roads and does warm up next week. we will have nicer spring weather to tell but in the extended forecast. >> way next week. >> hopefully home opener shapes up okay. >> that is coming up. >> yes. >> thanks kate. >> still ahead on "eyewitness news" a marriage proposal gets off to a rocky start how one man's creative idea turned into a cliff top rescue. also, golf boards, they are the new trend in the tradition bound game of golf, more on why the sport is hoping it was a hit when we come
