that there was a call this morning about 8:10 at the high school here at the howard technical high school for assault that happened in the girls bathroom involving at least three student, one of them, the female victim, who passed away. now, police are not describing exactly what happened inside that bathroom, but the victim's injuries were so severe that she had to be air lifted to dupont hospital here in wilmington where she was later pronounced dead. right now, police say that they have at least two people that they're questioning, no one's been arrested right now, and they've not recovered any weapons from that incident in the bathroom. now, as a result of this death, and of the student that had the fight in the bathroom, they did close the school for the rest of the day. and they are still trying to determine whether they're going to open tomorrow. they've made grief counselors available to any of the students. right now it is still early in the investigation. police stress that this is an open investigation.

they don't want to draw any conclusions until they get all of the fact as to what exactly happened in that bathroom. but one student is dead, it happened just a little bit after school opened this morning. those are the latest fact, reporting live here in wilmington, cleve bryan, cbs-3, "eyewitness news". >> thanks a lot, cleve. such a sad story. moving on to the flyers, flyers fans are saying their farewells to the man who brought the nhl and two stanley cups to the city of philadelphia. a live look right now at the wells fargo center in south philadelphia. where fans are arriving for a memorial service for flyers founder, ed snider. the service will start in less than an hour. the wells fargo center of course is the home of snider's beloved flyers. >> snider died last week at age 83. he was also the founder of comcast spectacor, and once owned a steak in both the eagles and the sixers. snyder is a member of the hockey hall of fame, and the philadelphia sport hall of fame. he is survived by his wife, six children, and 15

the weather right now, still holding on. >> sunshine at least for one more afternoon for us, guys, wet weather phinally does return tomorrow, at this point, we could use it, though, i know, yes, we all love the bright sunshine, but you can have too much after good thing, then eventually run into drought problems, all of. that will we don't need. that will more than anything, scattered variety of showers, thunderstorms tomorrow. so, we will walk you through all of that, at least for now, looking good. you got another very mild afternoon, as i mentioned, had to use the hair spray after i came in from the skydeck, bit of breeze very noticeable. what happening on storm scan, wider zoom. here is the combination of the next storm system, guys. you can see back over the buckeye state, portions of the great lakes reason on, the combination of the wet weather, tan looks like it is making bee line for us, right? not so much. when we zoom it out one more time, look tip, and in its entirety, the core of circulation, way back over the central planes, this is dragging a warmfront, through our area now, the cold front is what actually bridges us our round every wet weather. what's going to take little bit more time to get here, as

the warmfront lift out, we do see the breeze, see little bit more in the way of cloud cover, but that's real at this. so we jump it forward here in future weather notice yes, might be couple of showers that pop up across central pa but looks like we will stay dry right through the better part of tomorrow morning. could there be a spotty shower, renegade shower that pops up at some point late today, tomorrow morning? definitely possible. we will allow for that, really see any of the brunt of this hold off until the afternoon. it looks like really after lunchtime is when the scattered variety of showers and storms fire up out there. no casino of major severe threat. but this particular run of the model is suggesting whopping batch of heavy rain, right in time for evening rush. so, we have to keep ion that possibility, we'll have enough moisture to work with for sure, i won't be shock. also this model does clear it out by saturday. not totally sold that it will be totally out of here early saturday morning, there may be lingering shower, but all-in-all nice weekends coming up. pollen as a result of the rain, drops off at least for a day. it does start to creep back up this weekend, but at least we

will guess a respit for one day if you do suffer from seasonal allergies, especially tree pollen, real rough lately. outside middle township high school, a cloud of clouds, but nice afternoon. southerly wind, you notice it, trust me, but it is a nice afternoon, that is unfolding here. looking at the regional temperatures for the most part, mid upper 60s, already cracking the 70 degrees mark though in dover, delaware, happy passover folks. we have to be dealing with scattered showers by the time the sun is actually setting here, tomorrow evening at 7:47. but, that said, it is all getting out of here in time for overall real nice weekend. check it out. upper 60s both saturday, sunday, skies start to gradually clear. actually i should say pretty quickly they will clear. on most of saturday looking at sunshine, sunday looks phenominal, make outdoor plans, even monday not looking bad at all. other than this one little hiccup that we have to deal with the rain tomorrow, it is still a pretty nice pattern overall, guys. >> we can deal with it, thanks, katie. brooke will be excited about this one, say hello to the pair of giant panda's, making
