in about an hour, greg. >> reporter: now, ukee and nicole, music is blasting. there is a sense of excitement in the air. as you mentioned donald trump is not expected to start speaking at least for another hour here, farm show here in harrisburg. we are told this area hold about 7600 people, right now the arena itself the seats are a quarter full but that is not factoring in all of these supporters right here. these are folks who have arrived hours ago and they have gone through security and waiting to see donald trump. i spoke to many of the folks here who say this is their very first rally and they felt it was extremely important to come out here and see candidate in real life, let take a listen. >> i love donald trump and i think he need support. i think he gets a lot of hatred and we need to support him. >> i'm just very excited about the movement that is going on and the energy that trump has

brought to this election and his exciting to have a fresh perspective and someone that isn't a politician. >> he is not afraid to say what he believes in, as opposed to a lot of people and it appeals to us because people do not like politicians say because they trying to get and say what they say to try to get voters. >> reporter: there are outside of the arena hundreds if not thousands of people still waiting to go through security. still plenty of time, about an hour until donald trump is expect to speak here in harrisburg, pennsylvania. i want to also mention that pennsylvania has become a really important primary state. in years past normally during this late in the primary season, all of the delegates are committed to one candidate but that is not the case, on both democratic side and republican side. it is also interesting that pennsylvania has 71 delegates, to disperse but 54 of those are not committed. so if donald trump does win during next tuesday's primary

and right now polls show him at 40 to 50 percent, well ahead, he will only get 17 committed candidates. we will see if he address is that tonight at 7:00 when he speaks here in front of the crowd but for now we are live here in harrisburg, i'm greg argos for cbs-3 "eyewitness news". >> greg, thanks very much. texas senator ted cruz says he is certain that will will be a contested g.o.p. convention and that in one will get the required 1237 delegates for nomination. senator cruz campaign in fredrick, maryland. voters in maryland will go to the polls next tuesday. democrats are also battling for votes in pennsylvania, bernie sanders is looking for an upset win over hillary clinton. ago every seat in this this 1700 seat theater was filled. senator sanders using his time at this town hall to focus on issues facing the reading and allentown communities especially the hispanic community and for that he received a lot of love from his supporters. senator sanders received an electric reception before a packed house here at sandtander perform arts center. he pointed out massive loss of manufacturing jobs here, the doubling of the poverty rate and financially struck school system. he proposed free college tuition paid for by a tax on wall street, 50-dollar minimum wage and continue time pose trade agreement that hurt america. >> well, first thing that we have got to do together and it is no the that hardies to create an economy that works for all of us, not just the people on top. >> i work at wal-mart. the part where he talks about wal-mart family and so many co-workers have to live on

welfare and medicaid just to survive. that rest mated a lot. i see that every day with the people i consider my friends. >> reporter: the senator spoke for just under an hour. he is now you on his way to the greater philadelphia expo center in oaks for a similar town hall event. that kicks off at 7:30. we are live from reading, i'm trang do for cbs-3 "eyewitness news". democratic front runner hillary clinton is in connecticut and she held a campaign event on gun violence in hartford. connecticut holds its primary on tuesday. clinton was in philadelphia yesterday. former president bill clinton campaigned for his wife in harrisburg earlier today. he discussed hillary clinton's plans to raise incoming and break down barriers holding families back. now we will go out to "eyewitness news" reporter alexandria hoff live in media where governor kasich held a town hall earlier today, alex. >> reporter: nicole, governor kasich has been traveling across pennsylvania, meeting with delegates in preparation

for tuesday's primary but today made a stop here to penn state's brandywine campus. >> i got my competitors trying to get me out, i have the democrats trying to get me out and guess what i'm not getting out just so you all know. >> reporter: without enough delegates left to secure 1237 needed for the nomination ohio governor john kasich has long set his sites on his home state and possibility for a contested convention in cleveland. after coming up second in front of the senator ted cruz in new york's primary, cruz is now in the same boat. senator cruz will continue on despite the fact that he noise longer able to achieve that magic number. he criticized you in the past for doing that. >> well, i think you know, i think i saw a recording where he said facts are stubborn things and when you have no way to win the nomination going to the convention you should leave the race. i understand why he would change his mind. >> can i please have a picture with the next president of the you had. >> oh, yeah, you can.

howard high school of technology with thee motional reaction from students and parents, cleve. >> reporter: just in the last 20 minutes the size of the crowd here has justin creased, dramatically, we have spoken to some people here who say young lady was very sweet. they don't know why all this happened. right now police last update was about four hours ago saying they were still conn you can interviews and no arrest at this time. but people hearsay whoever is responsible for this girl's death needs to be held accountable. >> hit me right here, my nose. >> reporter: even student who did not witness fatal fight howard high school technology say it the is disturbing. >> man, i seen helicopter and then bathroom and all this blood. oh, man. this is a girl at that. like the females. >> reporter: around 8:15 a a.m. wilmington police got an a report of the assault in the bathroom with one victim severely injured. >> staff was on hand as well as their staff. she was given medical attention soon after the

incident. when officers were made aware and school staff that she was medivac'd to ai children's hospital. >> reporter: the 16 year-old girl was pronounced dead at the hospital. her alleged attackers taken to the police station there were a few girls involved and at this time our police department is investigating the incident. >> we have people that we're speaking with no arrest as this is point. >> reporter: police have not given a reason why the fight began or how the girl was hurt but they don't believe any weapons were involve. >> when i heard about it, i felt like i was going to pass out. the it could been my granddaughter. >> reporter: people near howard say it is not men for violence a and saying there is no justifying what happening. >> this is nonsense. nonsense. now y'all got to go to the woman's house and let her know that they got to send out to school this morning i may never see again. >> reporter: ukee and nicole anti violence activist are using this as an opportunity to speak to the youth here in wilmington telling them that fighting is never okay to take things out, problems in a

heard. these are students from powell elementary school on north 36th street. the group carries colorful signs made by fourth grade class as they marched through powellton village and man turra this morning. they rallied to raise awareness about gun violence. good for them. mural painted by famed author and artist maureen sendac has a new home. >> this painting will be on display at soon to be opened south philadelphia library. it was moved there today from the rosen back museum and library. he painted it in the early 60's on the wall of his friend's new york apartment. the dog leading the procession is sendac's puppy, general hoy appeared as the dog in the famous book where the wild things are. >> how about that. >> yes. >> just recently read that book. >> loved that book. >> kate joins us now and we will talk about a little bit of rain tomorrow in spots.

>> this is not a huge system but we could use it. i don't feel like watering my flowers tommy will take a daze off. but we need april showers to get more may flowers around here and it will clear out in time for most of the weekend. it looks like a slower clearing then what i thought yesterday. timing of the rain has slowed just a little will bit so it may link are in some spot into saturday morning especially down the shore. the saturday may not be the best day north and west of the city, it will be nicer. but you you can see the change in the air right now. take a look outside, spring garden camera, everything is looking duller then it has looked in quite sometime. we have been talking every day about these deep blue skies, beautiful conditions, and now, the clouds have moved on in and it has turned overcast, it is still beautiful, temperatures still in the 70's and no rain just yet but it is hurling things to come as we go through the course of the afternoon, clouds continue to thicken. lets look the at our live neighborhood network site, soccer players outside on the field, rain in the slowing them down tonight just a few

more clouds then what we have been seeing. sixty-five in kutztown right now. storm scan three shows a large scale storm, center of circulation right here but it is all strung out across the entire eastern half of country. what we're seeing as i mentioned yesterday is the storm lifting north and east, generally an indication that the storm is weakening. so some strong storms and heavy rain in portions of louisiana tonight, and to the north, it is mainly scattered showers, little bit of steady rain here and there and this will impact us throughout the daze tomorrow but tomorrow is not a complete wash out, you will be able to salvage part of the day at least to get outside. right now still 72 degrees in philadelphia 71 allentown. sixty-seven in reading. and current wind are out of the south still breezy not quite as windy as it was this afternoon, 14 miles an hour at the airport, 15 miles an hour in dover. so cloud will tip to increase throughout the overnight hours. pick up a shower it is stray, isolated, mostly overnight we will be dry. tomorrow morning we may start with sun and it will be a warm

day as well. more sunshine we will get the warmer it will be. some spots could head toward 80 degrees. you can see showers mainly fizzling through the day and couple spotty ones at 3:00 p.m. more numerous in the evening. between nine, ten, 11:00 we will see more showers popping up. around overnight as well. the here's 1:00 a.m. and pushing out of here by saturday afternoon. it will be a nice saturday morning to the north and west, south and east those showers may hang around a little bit longer. we are not expecting much in the way of rain. the showers, possibly a stray then are storm. not a widespread severe event. mainly in the afternoon and evening. quarter inch of rain could impact portions of the afternoon commute but may enemies majority of that which would be good news for friday. sixty overnight tonight, tomorrow a couple scattered showers, thunderstorm, warm, breezy otherwise, 76 degrees the high for our friday. weekend is cooler, a slow clear on saturday but still nice at 69 degrees. the sunday looks beautiful, high of 66.

well, a celebration of science and technology, comes to the city of philadelphia. >> yeah, the philadelphia science festival starts tomorrow, showcasing more than 90 experiments across the city.
