bloodied face, just a shirt. >> neighbors say they heard screams, police say a young woman was abducted sexuallily assaulted and held captive for hours. good evening, everyone, i'm natasha brown much thanks for joining us much police took the woman to the special victims unit to interview her after she somehow managed to break free from her captor. "eyewitness news" reporter trang do tells us the west philadelphia neighborhood is on edge. >> reporter: neighbors who live on the 5700 block of large wood avenue in cobbs creek say nothing ever happens on their street until today. >> it was crazy. i didn't expect to see nothing like this. >> reporter: around 3:00 p.m. a 20-year-old woman beaten and bloodied escaped from a car where she was being held against her will. monique wright heard the commotion outside her window. >> i heard her screaming. i her, you know, i her her saying get off me, get off me! that's what made me come down i her another guy a pedestrian say get off of her! >> i heard yelling and iran to the window and saw a black car speeding off.

>> reporter: investigators say around 4:00 this morning a man forced the woman into a vehicle at gun point near 49th and lancaster. described the car as black sedan with tinted windows. rear drivers side window covered with a trash bag. she was bound with duct tape, sexually assaulted and held for 11 hours. >> my mom was coming home and she told me she i was girl bloodied face just a shirt and duct tape on her ankles and like she had been beaten up and gone through a lot. >> reporter: neighbors helped the woman and called police. many still in shock bite vicious crime. >> i'm glad she got some help 'cause that's scary. stuff like that don't happen around here. >> just after that i went to grab my sister from somewhere and it's like i told her to stay where she was weight for me. you want to be careful. too much going on out here. >> reporter: police describe the suspect as a black male about 23-year-old with dread locks an long beard. if you have any information, you're asked to contact police. from the special victims unit in hunting park i'm trang do cbs3

oy were the news. >> also right now police are searching for a murder suspect in strawberry mansion. investigators say the man fatally shot another man inside a car this afternoon on the 2300 block of west huntington street the suspect was last seen on 24t24th street wearing what police described as a water department vest or jacket. ♪ and now campaign 2016 news. it's the final weekend of campaigning before the pennsylvania and delaware primaries. eyewitness cam here on the campaign trail today. former president clinton brought his political skills to the dining car in northeast philly. he asked diners out there to vote for his wife hillary clinton. the frontrunner in the democratic presidential race. also the former president visited the irish station house in langhorne, bucks county. he took pictures with customers, shook hands and signed autographs. through earlier today. north wind in control little bit of a breeze around 12 miles per hour storm scan3 showing us a bump of nothing. those showers moved well offshore. now mostly clear conditions across the delaware valley but now we are turning our focus to some chillier air that is going to settle in overnight tonight and already settling north and west of the city. forty one degrees right now in mount pocono. in the lehigh valley nearing 40s at 40 and 50 degrees. 56 in philly and down to 53 in ac. as we head into the night tonight it is going to be a chilly one but with bright sunshine in store for tomorrow temperatures will be rebounding right around seasonal levels and then it middle 60s and cruise well above average as we head into monday. we do have several rain chances in store for next week so don't put that umbrella too far away we'll talk about if we'll be dealing with any any rain on tuesday for big primaries in delaware and pennsylvania and that's near full forecast coming up. >> we'll check back in with you thank you very much. two days after his death zen shock waves all around the world

pop super star prince has been cream mated and laid to rest. correspondent omar villa franco shows us how fans are paying their final respects. >> reporter: prince's family and closest friends including his girlfriend dee marius lewis gathered for a private memorial at his paisley park estate saturday afternoon. his publicist says his remains were cream mated. >> thank you for being here. we appreciate it. >> reporter: prince rogers nelson was found dead thursday morning. the sea of purple covering the fence outside his mansion gets bigger by the hour. his family hasn'ted out momentos to the pop icon's fans. >> it just showed he loved us all, and that they, um, are very appreciative of our support. >> reporter: to help prince's fans get through this thing called life, some amc movie theaters are showing his iconic film purple reign throughout the weekend. a handwritten note left at a growing memorial for prince outside of the famous downtown

at sea. the boat that 14-year-old austin and perry cohen last july has been recovered off the coast of bermuda. authorities say a shipping cruise spotted the capsized boat in march. cohen's iphone was recover from the boat as well as some other perm items. a manhunt is underway meantime for the suspect who killed eight members of one family in ohio. investigators say they have now received an overwhelming number of tips in this case but no one has been arrested. the victims include seven adults and a 16-year-old boy. authorities say most of them were shot execution style as they slept on friday. infant and two other small children were not harmed. community in georgia is also shocked after five people were found shot to death in their homes. discoveries were made on friday night. authorities quickly identified wayne who's has the suss specced gunman. he was later found dead inside his home on the self inflicted

gunshot wound. investigators believe the violence was spark by a domestic dispute. very rude awakening for residents in one south philly community. they woke up to find tires slashed on more than dozen vehicles. "eyewitness news" reporter anita oh shows us the damage left behind and explains what led police to a suspect. >> reporter: flat tire after flat tire. >> i thought maybe there is something broken on the road. >> reporter: police say these were no accidents. >> just a shame. there's no -- there's no benefit to anyone all it does is inconvenience people report roar police say a man slash the tires of 13 cars including a ymca bus on 17th and christian streets overnight. >> it's really surprising and disappointing to be honest report roar police got the call around 2:00 a.m. and by early afternoon, the inconvenience still lingers for some neighbors. >> i feel really badly for the people that are going to come and, you know, wake up to this this morning. had some place to go and they're not going to be able to get there. >> reporter: one woman whose

back tire was slashed told us she was too overwhelmed to speak on camera as she called in a crew to help hall her car to the shop much police say they found the suspect nearby and also found a kitchen knife on the scene but they don't yet have a motive. reporting in south philadelphia, i'm anita oh cbs3 "eyewitness news". president obama had little fun today during his european trip much the president and britain's prime minister david cameron played golf in london. this is day two of the preside president's trip to europe. the president took part in town hall style meeting. he urged britain to support a new trade deal between the us and the european union. the president says the deal will help to ultimately improve workers rights and environmental standards. and president obama trip to england wasn't all business. duke and duchess of cambridge treated him and the first lady to dinner last night at their home in kensington palace. as you can see here young prince george was allowed to stay up a little bit past his bedtime to greet the president and the first lady.

the young royal was dressed in his tiny little bathrobe very lovely one. he spent about 15 minutes visiting with the grown ups. a local chain will actually be bringing their food to lincoln financial field this eagles season and what better way to celebrate than eating contest of course. zach's burgers sponsored the first annual zach's challenge. professional and amateur eaters had five minutes to eat as many zach packs as they possibly could. and the win are in took home $500. eagles defensive tackle beau allen was there as a judge. >> i actually got a cheeseburger shirt on. i was going to bust out later but i'm going to eat burgers, shakes and fries. >> he's eating and judging. the lincoln financial field will be the fifth location they're family run business founded in delaware county back in 1984. also the philadelphia international festival of the

arts pulled off the ultimate block party today. ♪ >> feel like we're in new orleans. broad street from chestnut to south street was transformed into an oh say i didn't say of art for the 2016 fee at a street fair. it was the only place where your day at the beach could also include a ferris wheel, 25-foot waterfall and of course these cool characters as well in total it was plenty of fun as you can imagine for all. that is what we shall have been doing, lauren. we should have been out there. >> we shall have been out there today. >> field trip. >> field trip. >> beautiful day. finally once the rain cleared out. >> startestarted off with the r. you can look out the window, it's raining go back to sleep wait until the sun comes out. late start to the day. we did have the sunshine break out. made for a nice toned our saturday and temperatures were warm today. we top at 70 degrees in philadelphia. our average high temperature is now up to 67. so we're climbing.

66 the high temperature allentown mild day in the poconos with highs in the upper 50s and we topped at 68 degrees in ac. but temperatures they are getting chilly especially north and west of the city. we had a cold front that came through the delaware valley earlier today. brought us that shower activity. now temperatures are cooling on the back side of that frontal boundary. 41 degrees right now in mount pocono. we're down to 50 in allentown. 53 in ac and at 56 right now in philadelphia. temperature ranges as you can imagine over the last 24 hours, we are down on the order of about 10 to 15 degrees and tomorrow we'll be a cooler day but right around average for us but this northerly wind slow flow is going to usher cooler air and also that drier air might have noticed it was a little bit on the muggy side this morning especially with that rain falling that is going to be absent air mass tomorrow. with this drier air continuing to build in and still a bit of a breeze kicking in with wind speeds at 10 to 15 miles per hour. storm scan3 showing us not much going on rain is out of here,

cloud deck is out of the here as well. crystal clear sky conditions across the delaware valley and check this out as we pan out, the whole eastern half of the country nothing going on with high pressure in control. promotes stable air sinking air that will give us a nice sunny sunday in store. we have had quite a few sunday days so far this month but that unfortunately has put us in a rape fall deficit in philadelphia down well over an inch for the month. and down over 3-inches just since march 1st so we do need the rainfall. we like may flowers so we'll get an opportunity as we head into the next several days monday it will be late overnight monday and a chan of rain throughout the day on tuesday. maybe even a few afternoon thunderstorms. wednesday we return to dry conditions. and then thursday it's back to rain again so that umbrella be getting a work out as we head into next week but for tonight, might need an extra layer mostly clear chilly breeze down to 43 degrees that wind chill will be down into the 30s across much of the area tonight and early tomorrow morning. but by tomorrow afternoon,

temperatures right around average. 66 degrees. west wind and bright sunshine make fog really nice end to the weekend. as i mentioned we'll be chill toll start tomorrow down into the 30s as far as actual item air temperatures in the poconos close to that in the lehigh valley dropping even into the 40s down the shore. but then temperatures climbing up to near 60 degrees just by lunch time with that dry air in place. tomorrow evening very pleasant conditions temperatures generally in the upper 50 toss near 60 degrees to end our weekend. not quite as chilly monday morning to head back to the workplace. temperatures in the 40s even 50 toss wake up to and then temperatures will be soaring as we head into lunch time on monday. approaching the 70-degree mark and check out this warmth as we head into the second half the day on monday with temperatures climbing in the mid to upper 70's. we'll be cooler on monday down the shore, though, with that sea breeze kicking in and that will be the wren again tomorrow. cooler down the shore but still very nice spring day. 60 degrees, beautiful in the poconos great day for a hike. 58 degrees the high temperature

game six between the flyers and caps. orange and black still playing after losing the first three games of the series. and it is another must win game for dave hack sal's squad. neuvirth will start in goal for the flyers. last night he won game five for the orange and black stopping four shots play off record for him the franchise. the last two games he saved 75 out of 76 shots. let's just say he's found a groove. >> it was amazing game. you know, i was seeing the puck well, and every bounce was going my way. >> terrific performance. he was great. he was on his game. he was focused. he was -- he was reall really cg influence. >> every category except for the score bore. they hell the caps to 11 shots. worst offensive outpour in caps history. one went off the caps 68 and the other was an empty netter.
