"eyewitness news" reporter cleve bryan is live in montgomery township with more on what happened, cleve. >> reporter: jessica, robert braxton's family is planning to have an outside vigil, by the montgomery county municipal building around 6:00 . the as they come together to pray they are grabbling with a few questions, first of all, why was he shot during church yesterday, and how come the

shooter is so far isn't facing any charges. >> active shooter, the at the keystone fellowship church, 427 stump road. >> reporter: in a moment the a atmosphere turned from uplift to go terrifying as at least one shot rang out sunday morning at keystone fellowship church in north wales. >> we were, worshiping and you hear three different gunshots right after another. everybody went on the floor and was hiding. >> reporter: police say this doesn't appear to be another attempt at a mass shooting but possibly a fight that went too far. it happened in the seating areas in the back of the church. twenty-seven year-old robert braxton from montgomeryville township suffered a gunshot wound and then died within the hour at the hospital. the shooter was treated and released from the hospital and then questioned by police and allowed to go home. >> we will have to determine whether the shooting was justified, under the law. >> reporter: on sunday montgomery county district attorney kevin steele says shooter had concealed weapons permit and was cooperating. the despite the fact he fired semiautomatic pistol inside a

church, depending on the circumstances, he may not face any charges. in the last 24 hours, the stance remains the same. >> we have a lot of interviews to do. the that is a all ongoing. that will take sometime. >> reporter: braxton's family shows us some pictures but didn't want to do any interviews. >> awe audible. >> reporter: he attended north penn high school where he played basketball and then studied communications at temple university. relatives say he was very dedicated to his church, and close to family. >> good parents. >> reporter: police say that braxton was shot in the chest, there is an autopsy scheduled for today but we have not been able to get results. live from montgomery township, cleve bryan, cbs-3 "eyewitness news". >> all right cleve, thank you. death have the high school student is focus of a community meeting in wilmington tonight. sixteen year-old amy joyner frances seen on the right was attacked inside of a girls bathroom at howard high school of technology last week. police say that at least two other students were involved, but so far no arrests have been made.

tonight's community meeting will take place at the elementary school at 6:00 p.m. police are searching for gunman who shot and killed a man moments after that man spoke with a state representative, candidate, in cedar brook. investigators say 21 year-old alex cherry was shot in the head after speaking to candidate chris rob, and then while he was talking to a staffer. it happened yesterday, around 3:30 p.m. on the 1400 block of vernon road. police say that this incident might be connected to another shooting nearby. developing right now a fatal accident on the pennsylvania turnpike, shuts down, the eastbound lanes, this evening, and authorities say one person was killed, and another was taken to the hospital, after a truck overturned on to a vehicle. chopper three over that scene around 3:00 between the willow grove and bensalem exits. authorities say that truck was carrying 20,000-pound have of soup, no word, on what caused that accident. and here's a live look right now from chopper three of that scene, you can see

students returned to class today in a northern wisconsin high school where gunfire broke out at the prom. police now say the shooter a former student may have been motivated by the fact that he was bullied. the shooting left two

"eyewitness news" continues 59:30. i'm ukee washington. aim jessica dean. police say the 18 year-old shooter was armed with the high powered rifle and a ammunition clip. police lights filled the parking lot of the antigua high school late saturday night after former student jacob wagner opened fire on two students leaving the prom. >> we regularly train for these situations and we use different buildings on the have the school district. >> reporter: that training helped police diffuse the situation quickly and prevent wagner from going inside the building possibly shooting more students. the suspect was taken to the hospital where he died, and the two victims were shot but those injuries are not life threatening. these pictures, show students huddled inside of the gym for three hours, until police gave the all clear. >> and, the cops honestly did a great job. >> reporter: drew schwartz and melissa a young were at the prom where drew was crowned prom king. >> i got prom king, i got that
