center tonight. the most recent polls finds clinton holding onto double digit lead over sanders in the state. on the republican side, donald trump also look to go have good day at the polls, he spent most of the day yesterday in pennsylvania, with stops in west chester, wilkes-barre, gop front run letter hold his election night event in new york. >> ceptor ted cruz out of the area and looking ahead to the next primary. he is expected to hold a rally with supporters later tonight in indianna. voters there go to the polls may third. cruz and governor kasich reached agreement sunday, it gives cruz a clear path in the state, while doing the same for kasich and in oregon and new mexico. the kasich campaign doesn't have a public schedule today. voters in pennsylvania will also decide the november matchups in other races, including the hotly contested second congressional district seat. congress, excuse me, congressional incumbent chaka fattah held this seat since 1995. he now has three opponents whose site is ongoing legal and financial troubles, at least part of the reason why getting into this race but certainly not the only reason. >> part of philadelphia around section of montgomery county,. >> vote verse to decide to punch my ticket. we'll win today because of the work we've done. and support the work we continue to do in washington. >> state senator dwight evans also out to cast his ballot. he told "eyewitness news" that his first priority in washington would be jobs and economic development. >> i'm excited about today. it is now up to the voters, making my case for last four months, and trying to get across the importance of some different type of representation in the second congressional district. >> fellow candidate, attorney dan carreers, creating

>> thanks so much, alex. >> philadelphia mayor jim kenney performed his civic duty this morning, cast his ballot at the old first reform church in old city. today democrats will decide the winner of the four way contest to see who will challenge senator pat toomey in november's general election. katie mc begin i, chief of staff for wolf, vying for the senate seat. "eyewitness news" at motorcycle begin i's polling place in wayne early this morning. that's where she cast her vote as one of her daughters stood by her side. >> we also caught up with one of her rivals, former congressman, and three star navy admiral joe sestak. he stood in line with other voters before casting his vote at the polling location in grade iville montgomery county. also, voting today, candidates john vettor man and joseph vardca. >> candidates push to go replace pennsylvania attorney general kathleen kane. "eyewitness news" was there as democratic josh shapiro cast his vote. republican candidate john

rafferty headed to the boot in eagleville. also on the republican side, joseph peters on the democratic side, john morganelli, steven zapalla. no local races running decided, there but residents are headed to the polls to cast their votes to determine who will be the republican and democratic nominees in the upcoming presidential election in november. >> well the polls are now open in both pennsylvania and delaware. you have until 8:00 tonight to vote. >> well, will the weather hold out the voters heading to the polls? >> let's look at the primary day forecast with meteorologist, katie fehlinger live in the cbs-3 weather center. >> guys, still tracking a little bit of wet weather out there for later today. we had one thin line tried to survive as it rolled into philadelphia county, didn't have an easy time doing, that which is good news. we held off for little bit longer. but, in terms of the wet weather, that's set to change with enough time here, we will start to sigh the storms flaring up, again. and the temperatures are off to the racesment some of you already into the 80s, you need that heating of the day and the sunshine to actually get

the instability required, for some of these stronger storms. let's go right on out to the radar, show you what's up here. three-hour loop you are looking at, little line, you see how it just sort every fizzles away. what you will really need for the strongest storms is sunshine, where you do see those clouds, sort of giving way for clear sky, that is where you have got the best likelihood at least initially to see some stronger storms. now, the whole region essentially here sits in a slight risk, or at least marginal risk for severe thunderstorms t does look like the biggest many packs would be heavy downpours, gusty winds, possibility of small hail, frequent lightning with any storm cells that bubble up. timing things out, windows closing for it to stay totally dry, see for the lehigh val think begins early as 2:00 p.m., philly, three-six, maybe hitting the polls right after you picks the kids up, keep in mind you may want to keep the umbrella at the ready. down toward coastal new jersey and delaware, more like tame end of the day, leading into the early evening. now, eventually, there is more wet weather down the road.

so it is somewhat active week in the full forecast, and i will have much more detail on that a bit later in the show, brooke, back to you. >> thanks, katie. this is awful. a huge fire destroys a delaware county home and now investigators are searching for the cause. video from dave smiley of nozzelnut photography shows the fire sweeping through the large home on dogwood hill lane in chaddsford t broke out about 2:00 this morning, no word on a cause. but storm scan3 showed frequent lightning in the area at the time the fire started. fortunately, no reported injuries. >> police chief in wilmington says arrests could be made by the end of this week in the death of 16 year old student. authorities tell "eyewitness news" sophomore amy joiner francis was assaulted by two other student last week in a girls rest room, at the howard high school of technology. she died from her injuries. members of the community met last night and they are demanding answers. >> we all have to work together to find a solution.

welcome back. firefighters rescued a seven year old boy who fell into this 42-foot well at construction site in china. he was playing with friends when he fell into the narrow hole. construction workers heard the boys' friends cry for help and they called the police. once on the scene, firefighter volunteered agreed to be lowered into the well, tide a rope around the boys to be pulled to the surface. the boy only suffered minor injuries. boy that's scary. cbs news learned investigators looking at the possibility mexican drug cartel killed eight members of an ohio family in a pre-planned execution. >> it has been four days since the bod wrist found, and so far no arrests. correspondent david beg now has the latest in the investigation. >> a law enforcement source confirms to cbs news investigators found some 200 marijuana plants, they were inside an indoor grow-operation that was found in some of the homes where eight members of the roden family were executed. law enforcement sources

estimate that the street value of the marijuana plants is nearly half a million dollars. >> do you think that that may have been a factor in these murder? >> we have no idea. we're running these leads out. there are many different their he is. >> more than 60 people have been interviewed by investigators. isiah jones said he was detained at gunpoint during a traffic stop. he was questioned for six hours then released. >> i really want people to know that i real had i nothing to do with it and that these were also friends of mine. >> reporter: investigators also spoke with his friend, rusty mongold, apparently about facebook post that appear to threaten the youngest murder victim, among the eight victims, shot in the head, was 37 year old dana roden, this is her father, leonard manually. he thinks his daughter new the killer or killers. >> who ever done it know the family because there were two dogs there eating you up. >> the sheriff believes there may be more than one killer, because there are four different crime scenes, and the sheriff is not convinced

>> yes. >> little line of showers but more on the way, unfortunately, before we can say we wipe our hands totally free, it needs couple of more hours to get through, primary day, so i want to give you better sense of what will actually happen with the storms when they do start to rumble through. we gave you time frame earlier on, basically mid to late afternoon toward early evening, that these scattered showers and storms rumble through. but if you get stuck under one of these clusters you will get drenched or face danger, could be again strong storms. going outside. key factor here is sunshine, out to one of the network shops, palmyra cove nature park out in new jersey already pair of seven's on the thermometer right, there but there are some clouds, whereas you got nothing but blue skies, and sunshine outside cut town area middle school. this may look deceiving to you, because you think okay, you got nice afternoon, right? that sunshine could actually help trigger some stronger storms that they decide to develop over this area, because you get the heating of the day, to really create that instability that's necessary, for the strongest storm storms

to develop. that's what we are watching. system in its entirety, coal enough to produce snow up across new england, not here, way too warm for. that will show you that in a second. part of much larger complex system. so trailing from a boundary system all the way back toward illinois, and another system that's errupting right now. out over the plane states, could be very significant tornado out brace in this part of the country later today, for us primarily as i mentioned earlier gusty wind, potential for heavy downpours and possibly some small hail also throw in the potential norfolk went lightning, any showers obviously long gone at this point, really into the afternoon that we have to dodge the showers and the storms, that come through. so later on today whether we see these little pop up's coming up f you're stuck underneath one you could get drenched. towards 5:00 p.m., looks like things dropping to the south. all moving from north to south. so throughout the course of the afternoon, and toward evening, and then basically done. now, tomorrow, that front will

stall nearby. so the southern half of our area likely to get stuck in some clouds. so kind of one of those half and half days. further north go, more sunlight you'll see, a look at the temperatures i promised upper 70s here at philadelphia international airport, you're into the 80s in the pinelands r already, still cooler by comparison in mount pocono, but regardless, we've got the warmth, we've got the building heat for the rest of the day, of course it is primary day, so just keep it in mine if you still have yet to hit the polls or if you're out for any reason at all those thunderstorms could get you. let's take a look at the seven day, all important seven day, right? by tomorrow the front again stalling nearby. so sun to the north, overcast skies quick rounds every wet weather comes our way thursday leading into friday morning, although at this point it really looks like just some showers warm it up and saturday looks awesome, 69 and sun. >> i look at this. 125-pounds two year old bear, strutting across the highway in california, right near los
