of vehicles out there around this accident. not only are you going get some volume slow downs because of the intermittent closures, but gaper delay there. accident here pa turnpike westbound between ft. washington and norristown, right lane blocked. another accident here in new jersey, route one northbound, franklin corner road two, left lanes blocked, there construction on route 42 southbound the ramp to 95, off ramp closed until right around 5:00 a.m. busy morning already, jim, back over to you. >> thank you, it was a violent night on the street of north philadelphia. >> yes, police tell us two people were shot but the victims behavior leaves him with a lot of questions. >> "eyewitness news" reporter jan carabeo is live outside temple hospital with the latest on the investigation. jan, what have you learned? >> reporter: brooke, jim, good morning. the two people who were shot in north philadelphia early this morning, are cousins, 16 year old and a 20 year old. they are now both behind me here at temple university hospital, fortunately, for them, in stable condition. unfortunately, however, there is no motive for this shooting at this time and no witnesses.

take a look at the video. police say the shooting happened just couple of hours ago, around 1:00. officers were called to the 1100 block of glenwood avenue for report of two people shot. when they arrived they found 16 year old boy shot four times, and his 20 year old female cousin shot once. both of the victims have survived, they are conscious, talking to police, and they say they were in the area of park avenue, and somerset street when a man approached them and for an unknown reason started shooting. police, however, have not yet been able to find a shooting scene there with any blood or balistic evidence. so investigators are unsure if these victims are being entirely truthful. >> they live in the same home, in the area of somerset and park avenue. why they would run two blocks away as opposed to running home after being shot is a concern to us. so we don't know how truthful they're being with their story.

the area at park and somerset is well known for street sales of illegal narcotics. >> so again, police are questioning the victims' story here because if they were indeed at somerset and park and the 16 year old was shot, woe have had to run couple of blocks with three bullets in his legs. again, they are recovering in the hospital behind me this morning. meantime there is investigation is continuing. police are also trying to figure out why they ended up at this specific house on the 1100 block of glenwood. all of this is developing. we will bring you the latest just as soon as we get it. for now reporting live outside temple university hospital. jan carabeo, cbs-3, "eyewitness news", jim, brooke, back into you. >> meanwhile, police opportunity know if two shooting in the frankford section of philadelphia are related. both victims were dropped off at different hospitals, by private cars, and one told police he was shot on the 4900 block of charles street, about 10:00. police found seven shell casings, and a gun in the alley near there. it is not clear where the

second man was shot. both victims are in stable condition right now. >> well, happening today, the suspect accused of shooting a philadelphia police officer has a preliminary hearing. police say 20 year old sam ear and his accomplice scott griffin went on crime screen last month in west philadelphia. according to investigators, officer james mccullough interrupted a carjacking, and was shot in the leg by griffin faces list of charges including attempted murder. jury selection continues today in the federal corruption trial of congressman chaka fattah, denies allegations against him, insists he's done nothing wrong. opening arguments are scheduled to begin on may 16th. >> in less than an hour and a half, the polls will open in indianna. donald trump says a win in today's primary would mean it is over for his republican rivals. ted cruz and john kasich are trying to stop trump from winning majority of delegates which would force contested convention. hillary clinton and bernie sanders appear to be in a

mondays, tuesdays, wet roadways. >> this really looks like one of the few days that's the wettest, heaviest rain falling. look at sort of snapshot view of storm scan3, few spots, got steadier rain coming down just southeast of i95 here. that's going to be spot where you are running into a lot of ponding on roadways, already got it out there, though, because we've seen the rain now falling for hours, across the region as a whole, few stronger thunderstorms have already since rolled through, those have thankfully tapered off. but the rain still out there. even if you have got few little speckles here, where, you know, things are drying out, at least for time it, doesn't mean that you are not going to be dealing with damp roads or the spray from other vehicles. so bottom line, it is a significant morning commute. it will slow you down. so, expect that. meanwhile, here is what you can expect for the rest of this morning showers at times, ponding on roadways, i broke through quite a bit myself this
