just have to slow down. this is the kind of wet their will naturally slow anyone down out there. so please just take the time. be smart about it, as we look at storm scan, pretty much everyone is in this at this point. rain coming down heavily in a couple of pockets, as women. there are few limb breaks in the action, but regardless the rain has already over spread the entire regionment even if you don't have rain physically falling from the sky, right now, you have at least got very damp roads out there. so, please, slow down as you are hitting the road. hopefully you had the chance to set the alarms few minutes early to get out the dorra few minute earlier this morning. things should dry out briefly, see high pressure try to nudge in, for now the morning drive of the two typical rushes, a.m. and p.m., the morning drive definitely looks the worse. fifty-seven the current temperature at the airport, definitely feels like spring. you're flirting with 60 in dover, at 59 degrees, but obviously very soggy right now. it will stay that way, for the next couple of hours. so, it is showers. there are some embedded pocket

of steadier rain within this, around the region as a whole today. don't expect too much movement on the thermometer, at best, low 60s generally from the shore up to the 60s, poconos more like the mid 50's, again, warm enough it is just rain at this point. and that said, later on today, you can expect things to start to dry out little bit. for now meisha, umbrellas required, patience on the road for sure. >> absolutely. and we are saying that at 4:30 in the morning, so i can imagine what it will like like even one hour from now. good morning, happy tuesday, no fun to wake up to wet roadways, katie has been warning us, kind of dealing with this, what we are looking at the schuylkill westbound to the ramp to passyunk, just opened, was closed for quite some time. you can see the sheen over the roadway, letting know it is certainly wet out there, in fact, when i was coming in i was using my windshield wipers. accident before naman's road, two right lanes block, blocking all lanes intermittently. >> this will cause some slow downs, only 4:30 in the morning, already just a line

of vehicles out there around this accident. not only are you going get some volume slow downs because of the intermittent closures, but gaper delay there. accident here pa turnpike westbound between ft. washington and norristown, right lane blocked. another accident here in new jersey, route one northbound, franklin corner road two, left lanes blocked, there construction on route 42 southbound the ramp to 95, off ramp closed until right around 5:00 a.m. busy morning already, jim, back over to you. >> thank you, it was a violent night on the street of north philadelphia. >> yes, police tell us two people were shot but the victims behavior leaves him with a lot of questions. >> "eyewitness news" reporter jan carabeo is live outside temple hospital with the latest on the investigation. jan, what have you learned? >> reporter: brooke, jim, good morning. the two people who were shot in north philadelphia early this morning, are cousins, 16 year old and a 20 year old. they are now both behind me here at temple university hospital, fortunately, for them, in stable condition. unfortunately, however, there is no motive for this shooting at this time and no witnesses.

take a look at the video. police say the shooting happened just couple of hours ago, around 1:00. officers were called to the 1100 block of glenwood avenue for report of two people shot. when they arrived they found 16 year old boy shot four times, and his 20 year old female cousin shot once. both of the victims have survived, they are conscious, talking to police, and they say they were in the area of park avenue, and somerset street when a man approached them and for an unknown reason started shooting. police, however, have not yet been able to find a shooting scene there with any blood or balistic evidence. so investigators are unsure if these victims are being entirely truthful. >> they live in the same home, in the area of somerset and park avenue. why they would run two blocks away as opposed to running home after being shot is a concern to us. so we don't know how truthful they're being with their story.

the area at park and somerset is well known for street sales of illegal narcotics. >> so again, police are questioning the victims' story here because if they were indeed at somerset and park and the 16 year old was shot, woe have had to run couple of blocks with three bullets in his legs. again, they are recovering in the hospital behind me this morning. meantime there is investigation is continuing. police are also trying to figure out why they ended up at this specific house on the 1100 block of glenwood. all of this is developing. we will bring you the latest just as soon as we get it. for now reporting live outside temple university hospital. jan carabeo, cbs-3, "eyewitness news", jim, brooke, back into you. >> meanwhile, police opportunity know if two shooting in the frankford section of philadelphia are related. both victims were dropped off at different hospitals, by private cars, and one told police he was shot on the 4900 block of charles street, about 10:00. police found seven shell casings, and a gun in the alley near there. it is not clear where the

second man was shot. both victims are in stable condition right now. >> well, happening today, the suspect accused of shooting a philadelphia police officer has a preliminary hearing. police say 20 year old sam ear and his accomplice scott griffin went on crime screen last month in west philadelphia. according to investigators, officer james mccullough interrupted a carjacking, and was shot in the leg by griffin faces list of charges including attempted murder. jury selection continues today in the federal corruption trial of congressman chaka fattah, denies allegations against him, insists he's done nothing wrong. opening arguments are scheduled to begin on may 16th. >> in less than an hour and a half, the polls will open in indianna. donald trump says a win in today's primary would mean it is over for his republican rivals. ted cruz and john kasich are trying to stop trump from winning majority of delegates which would force contested convention. hillary clinton and bernie sanders appear to be in a

tight race. vermont senator needs to win in the hoosier state to remain competitive for the democratic nomination. >> montgomery county teacher is facing charges she had a sexual relationship with a student. rose lamuli suspended from upper dublin high school where she was an english teacher. authorities she had inch appropriate contact with a male student last december. she is scheduled for a preliminary hearing may 16th. the district has counselors available at the school. >> a strange scene inside the apple store at 16th and walnut last night. philadelphia police arrested the man known as billy jesus, the store's manager said he refused to leave, and when asked he caused a disturbance. he faces charges including disorderly conduct and defiant trespassing. the check's in the mail, atlantic city avoids defaulting on a payment. mayor don guardian credits may property taxes. city employees will get at

i was long gone, long gone. we have few accident out there, looking very, very wet, also downed tree, so i think this is casino of precursor of things to come. >> i wouldn't be shock. pre i nasty thunderstorms rolled through, thankfully no mo storms, but it is still raining, a lot of you dealing with the rain coming down somewhat steadily. so whether you walk out the door, yes, you night the umbrella, certainly need to pack your patience as you hit the road here today. just naturally going to get slowed down by the wet weather that's out there. we look at storm scan3, start off with "skycam 3", take a look, bethlehem, the tell tail signs, the sheen on the road surface here, outside moravian college, main street, off in the distance you can just barely make out the mountain in the distance, more than anything, it is because of the city light sort of reflecting on the clouds solo to the grounds out here. that said, you may run into some fog, but more than anything, it is the rain, really going to slow you down. let's go next to doppler estimation cents here from last 12 hours. we mention we had very strong thunderstorms, some of the

folks that got hit the hardest across portions every western kent county herement look at this, even across the maryland state border doppler indication you pick up three plus inches or so, so that particular thunderstorm cell really packed a punch. however, the rain is still coming. we've got the moisture sort of getting drawn northeast here, that will continue to bring in additional round of rain. heaviest of which likely will fall through the southern delmarva peninsula, everyone will still run the potential to see additional showers for the next few hours. future weather, has us winding down relatively quickly. with us the rest of the morning drive, but 10:00 a.m. we could start to see just clouds left overthrew the western most suburbs, then everybody will get chance to dry out hereby 3:00 or so. even into tonight. doesn't mean we're done with this, though. see the leading edge of more showers set to move in later tonight, into tomorrow, likely still have passing shower, but we might even see a couple of breaks of sunshine, see how we do, we will be sitting between systems. that will said thursday the next system is here, and it is still pretty sog which additional showers rolling through on friday. meisha? >> all right, so, really will

affect our morning commute this morning, thanks so much, katie. good morning, everyone, happy tuesday, already, early, not even in the 5:00 hour. already have some problems out on the roadways, accident on the boulevard southbound approaching the schuylkill. see the flares in the roadway, directing you all the way to the left. forcing everyone to get into single file lane. when that happens, we know what's going to be slow, even in the for 4:00 hour, even pushing into the 5:00 hour, this will slow you down, boulevard southbound approaching the schuylkill, two right lanes blocked in that area. also another accident here. take a look at this, 95 south before naman's road two, right lanes blocked here as well. they are blocking lanes intermittently. reports having that some, at some point, all lanes were even block. but you can see how slow moving it is around this area of the volume levels starting to build you creep by here not to mention you will have some gaper delay even this early in the morning. accident new jersey here, route one northbound, franklin corner road, two lanes blocked in this area. known accident, pa turnpike between ft. washington and

mondays, tuesdays, wet roadways. >> this really looks like one of the few days that's the wettest, heaviest rain falling. look at sort of snapshot view of storm scan3, few spots, got steadier rain coming down just southeast of i95 here. that's going to be spot where you are running into a lot of ponding on roadways, already got it out there, though, because we've seen the rain now falling for hours, across the region as a whole, few stronger thunderstorms have already since rolled through, those have thankfully tapered off. but the rain still out there. even if you have got few little speckles here, where, you know, things are drying out, at least for time it, doesn't mean that you are not going to be dealing with damp roads or the spray from other vehicles. so bottom line, it is a significant morning commute. it will slow you down. so, expect that. meanwhile, here is what you can expect for the rest of this morning showers at times, ponding on roadways, i broke through quite a bit myself this
