"eyewitness news" reporter jan carabeo live in bristol township, jan, what's going on? >> brooke, jim, good morning. this is frightening. certainly a prank that could have turned deadly last night. now, here is the overpass we're talking about this morning, that's the oxford valley road overpass here in bristol township bucks county. it was there, in the eastbound turnpike lanes last night, when one driver says it felt like it was raining rocks. damage demonstrates how close this came to turning deadly. a broken american or here, a cracked windshield there. and a gaping hole on the drivers side of this tractor-trailer. >> heard big crash, glass all over me, all over my face. >> john wagner one of three truck drivers recovering today after their vehicles were hit

by rocks and bricks thursday night. state police say someone was throwing the items off the oxford valley road overpass in bristol township bucks county. and on to the busy pennsylvania turnpike. >> that was driving, i seen all of them coming at me. all you seen was hands, bunch of rocks, just through them over. came at me like it was raining rocks. >> torrents bonn or drove underneath around 6:00. he was pelted by rocks. just five minute later, two more drivers were hit in the same location. police say this time with bricks, too. >> hit in the cab stopped it from going through. >> one of the bricks did peers this windshield, sent glass and debris flying, driver taken to lower bucks hospital with cuts to his face, fortunately, no one was killed. but these drivers know first-hand there is could have ended much differently. >> the rocks come at you so fast, you really have to react fast if you don't react fast you can really, it could have been a real big pile up if i didn't keep it straight. >> kids don't real ties could

"eyewitness news", on the 3200 block of north american street, just after midnight. neighbors heard the victim screaming and called police. now, when officers responded to the scene, the woman tried to get away from the dog, by jumping on to the police car.

>> that female actually jumped on to the hood of the police car when the police arrived on the scene. and in a attempt to get away from the dog. the dog continued to bite the female. >> officers shot the dog twice to get him off the woman. she is in stable condition. the dog died at the scene. the search continues this morning for escaped prisoner in south jersey. police suspended their search for arthur bucknell barnegat township ocean county. now, buckle caught on surveillance video at cvs, and police think he stole a truck and left it there, as well. authorities say residents will still see an increase police presence in barnegat township, a police officer will be at every single school today. >> these images from canada down right terrifying as this massive wild fire continues to grow, with no ends in site. 88,000 people had to leave their homes, many by air, and the flames have torched entire neighborhoods. cbs news correspondent ben tracey reports, even

drag through quick lil rounds of showers looks like very early sunday morning, and then it is out of here. we should break for some sunshine throughout the second half of moister day. got to talk high tide very quickly here, generally, anywhere from 7:30 up until 8:00 this morning when the high tide cycle will be coming in. maybe little bit later in places like strathmere, cape may. but i bring this up because we have coastal flood warning in effect, for moderate flooding this morning and probably some better flooding even as we head into this evening, with the next high tide. weekends activities not looking bad. you have the south street spring festival kicking off here, again, spotty shower around for that, but milder up to 67. race for the cure, we start off again with a shower, but looks like those will break out pretty quickly and we ends up with some sunshine as the day progresses, so mothers day afternoon you have a picnic planned or something like that for mom, it is looking good. now, as the next couple of days progress here, we look ahead to monday that looks like nice day. seventy-one and sunny, yes, please. by the time we hit tuesday, wednesday, even warmer but also allow for shower maybe thunderstorm by that point. meisha?

morning out there. so we go on outside. take a look here at storm scan3, all of the soaking rain that's been falling right now, basically through the central sliver of the delaware valley where you are finding the heaviest, but pretty much all engulfed right now with some rain in some way shape or form. even if you have few breaks in the radar like across southern ocean county still finding spray from vehicles, the damage essentially, it has been done there. you can actually see in the last throw hour loop here, look at how it expands, and becomes more heavy in terms every rainfall intensity, it is because they're drawing in so much moisture from the open waters of the atlantic. so you will get doused out there. looking outside in the live neighborhood network, tough to tell on live camera shot right here but there is rain falling across southeastern new jersey, 45 degrees, that means it feels casino of raw outside. not terribly wind any cape may courthouse, but more than anything, you just need the extra time to get where you are going today or heck the a lot of patience, or expectation that you will be latement rain ability up to an inch throughout the course of

are just waking up with us, i have to tell you, it is a very, very slow commute, a lot of things going on. first thing, accident here involving a tractor-trailer, injuries reported with possible fuel spills. this is 95 north, past cottman, approaching academy, only one lane getting by, and it is slow moving. give yourselves a lot of extra time, and i'm saying way more than just an hour, if i were you, avoid it altogether if at all polls. this is back up, before the talcony palmyra bridge, stretching all the way to the betsy ross bridge. so it is very, very slow moving. once you're getting up to the tractor-trailer it is just a snails pace, as go by. by the way, southbound direction, on 95, gaper delay. so very, very slow moving in the southbound direction on 95 right now. this is where we have another very serious accident, in fact there is accident right here has been confirmed fatal. this is route 55 southbound at route 42 freeway, all lanes are block, you will have to use the alternate. route 47 will be your best bet. another accident here, northeast extension southbound past quakertown, right lane
