music superstar prince died from an accidental overdose of the fentanyl. autopsy report revealed he gave the powerful pain kill tore himself, correspondent kenneth craig has new details revealed today. >> reporter: medical examiner's office has released prince autopsy result. it says that the 57 year-old died from an opioid overdose. the pop star was found unresponsive, in the elevator of his paisley park estate april 21st. prescription drugs were found in his home and investigators have been trying to determine whether a doctor was prescribing them to prince in the weeks before his death. an attorney for doctor howard cornfield a drug addiction treatment expert in california, says that the doctor was contacted to help prince the day before he died. cornfield sent his son andrew to minneapolis to facilitate treatment. >> he said in the motion a plan to deal with what he felt was a life saving mission and that mission was to get prince

"eyewitness news" reporter david spunt is on his way to east coventry and will have the latest on "eyewitness news" at 6:00. a british airlines flight land safely at newark liberty airport in new jersey after a threat was made this afternoon. flight 185 from london arrived at 1:00 o'clock with 219

people on board. the passengers could later be seen walking away from the plane with their luggage. port authority of new york and new jersey have not disclosed the nature of the threat. attorneys over the deadly amtrak 89 crash in chester blamed a colossal miscommunication for deaths of the two rail workers. they were struck by a train traveling at 106 miles an hour on april 3rd. today the attorneys filed a negligence lawsuit on behalf of the family of one victim 61 year-old joe carter of wilmington. >> ten deaths in ten and a half months, on amtrak's rails, in philadelphia alone. how many more will it take before amtrak wakes up and realizes that safety starts the at the top. >> the precise cause of the crash remains under investigation by the national transportation safety board. a near perfect day, out there but our sunny stretch could becoming to an even. meteorologist lauren casey is

on the cbs-3 sky deck and lauren, it is pretty nice out there. >> it is so nice, cloud, sunshine and lower humidity and heat levels then we have had over last several days. yesterday we topped off at 90 degrees in philadelphia we are getting a break from that heat. eighty-one closer to average as where we're at right now, cooler in the poconos 73 degrees and that sea breeze keeping temperatures in the 60's right now down the shore. we are getting a break from that humidity with dew points in the lower 60's in the city, dew point's in the 50's in the poconos, still a touch of humidity but definitely a bit different from what we felt over the last several days. comfort index right now, humid, to pleasant in some areas with those dew points down in the 50's and higher elevations. storm scan three showing us we have a few showers working into the poconos, otherwise a mix of sun and cloud. we will let you know if we have any rain in the future heading in the evening hours, also bonnie has redeveloped into a tropical system so we will let you know if bonnie will impact our weekend plans

coming up in your full forecast in just a few. >> lauren, thanks very much. take a look at this photo of the water main break near the king of prussia mall, this was on mall boulevard. chopper three over the mess left behind by that water. crews continue to make repairs this afternoon. a water main break sent water gushing all over 18th and arch streets in center city this morning. officials say contractors struck a 20-inch main working in that area. you can sea water just pouring out of there. we're told situation is under control, and no customers lost services during the break. chopper three over a shopping center in east windsor, new jersey where a car crashed into a storefront around 11:00 o'clock. police say an 81 year-old woman was attempting to park when she drove over the curb and through the front window there. no one was hurt, police cited that woman for careless driving. campaign 2016 is focused on foreign policy as the three remaining candidates court voters in california, ahead of the june 7th primary. new jersey voters will also be

heading to the polls next tuesday. democratic front runner hillary clinton touted her foreign policy experience in san diego this afternoon. she blasted donald trump's positions on global issues. former secretary of state said trump is unfit to be president and his foreign policy ideas are dangerous to the united states. the presumptive republican nominee is expected to respond to clinton's speech during a rally in san jose, california tonight. last night donald trump criticized clinton's term as secretary of state during a stop in sacramento. he said clinton's decisions on syria, iraq and iran have made the middle east more dangerous then ever. meanwhile house speaker paul ryan announced today he will vote for donald trump in november. hillary clinton's democratic rival bernie sanders is seeking to close the delegate gap. he discussed the need to combat climate change and california drought in modesto this afternoon. sanders is promising to make tuesday's california primary a tight race.

questions there will be some taxes, handling charges so we will need your credit card information. >> reporter: prices are not given out the by legitimate polling organizations so just hang up. the third scam involved vote by phone. >> that is where they call you and say great news, under a new law in this state you can vote by phone but in order to get you set up we need some of your information. >> reporter: simply put no such thing as vote by phone. >> reporter: finally the donation scam. >> so you think that the political party is calling you or that a specific candidate's campaign is calling you and they are asking to you donate. the only problem is that they may not be. >> reporter: if you feel compelled to donate to a candidate or political cause don't give your banking information over the phone. instead use your credit card and a official campaign web site or mail a check into a verified campaign headquarters. reporting for three on your side, i'm jim ton van. always great advice.

different parts of the country. one person was killed when a blue angels plane went down outside of nashville, tennessee. this is a still photo, as you can see, of the scene. accident happened during a practice flight for an upcoming air show n colorado springs, meanwhile a pilot had to eject during a fly over at air force academy's graduation ceremony. that pilot was not her. it is unclear what caused both planes to go down. all right. meteorologist lauren casey is in for kate and lauren, were you outside, and a few clouds with you it still feels so great. >> we were on that heat streak and it took forever to hit 80 degrees in may. then we will just stay here for a while. maybe go up to 90 a couple times. temperatures today are a little bit more comfortable, closer to average hanging out right around 80 degrees in the city and cooler temperatures down the shore but still a beautiful scene. check this out, make you guys jealous, i thought we were going to lot a different scene. that doesn't make me look too

jealous that looks foggy, but people are still outside on the boardwalk enjoying a nice day, having off today i'm sure. ocean city, new jersey, where some fog is starting to make its way in but better looking conditions, this is what i was talking about in rehoboth beach right there. look at that, yeah, that is the scene that will make you jealous, sunshine there. people have have their beach set up going, umbrellas, really nice day taking place at rehoboth beach. nice day to stay in as well. we have sunshine, clouds mixed in and temperatures more comfortable, also more comfortable dew points down in the lower 60's. so we are getting a break from the steamy humidity we have seen over the last several days. temperatures right now warm spot in the lehigh valley, temperatures in the lower 80's but down the shore we are cooler. that sea breeze is pushing temperatures down the east wind off the ocean. ocean temperature chilly at 63 . sixty-four in ocean city. 66 degrees currently in cape may. beautiful conditions heading out to see phillies tonight,

partly sunny, pleasant, 78 degrees for first pitch at 7:05 taking on the brewers. storm scan three showing us we have showers but up in the poconos right now pretty light in intensity. as we pan out we will see more storm action upper wind. those showers and thunderstorms will leave us alone for now, those in association with the slow moving cold front but that will start to make an approach as we head into the day tomorrow but for right now we only have rainfall we are seeing is up toward poconos with a few showers trying to make their way in carbon, monroe counties, pretty light in intensity. something we are watching but will not impact us, this is bonnie, do you remember one i redeveloped into a tropical depression and regained its tropical characteristics. so national hurricane center is reissuing advisories but wind speed only about 35 miles an hour and that will continue to move off to sea, restrengthening is possible but it will not present a problem for us or eastern sea board at all in the next several days. future weather showing us as

we head in the evening hours we will see increasing cloud cover, overnight tonight a few showers possible but more so, likely as we head into tomorrow afternoon. uncommon for summertime to see showers and storms in the morning but we could see a few of those so pack along that umbrella heading in the afternoon hours. here comes that slow moving cold front dealing with hit and in miss showers and thunderstorms for second half of the day. we do dry out. if you have friday night plans by late evening hours things will quiet down but overnight tonight isolated showers, areas of fog, mild conditions at 65 degrees. for tomorrow hit and miss showers and thunderstorms, so have that umbrella nearby. 79 degrees the high temperature. still running right around average. then we will warm things up as we head in the upcoming weekend, a muggy day on saturday at 84 degrees, but that will be the dry day at the weekend. the wet day is going to be on sunday with a secondary cold front and we will have showers and thunderstorms likely, even some heavy rain and a few strong storms possible as we head into sunday evening but things quiet down as we head

"eyewitness news" new jersey reporter cleve bryan went to blackwood to meet these dogs hoff overcome the odds. >> reporter: loyal, lovable, man's best friend, always ways we describe dogs but some parts of the world they are in the raised to be friend but food. >> essentially these animals were raised for human consumption. >> camden county animal shelter is trying to find forever homes for three homes rescued from a dog meat farm in south korea. this video provided by humane society of the united states is from a farm where dogs were kept in rusty cages until time for slaughter. they were distributed throughout humane society network for adoption which is how joey, liberty and tisha landed here. >> it is a process thinking of your domestic dogs being raised for human consumption. it is just something thaw really cannot fathom. >> reporter: for several years humane society international has been trying to shut down doug meat market in southeast asia. the dogs are kept in deplorable condition and tortured. tisha had a broken leg never

mistakenly thought that she was the child's mom. >> a lot of the hate mail says that i was a terrible mother. >> reporter: following the incident the cincinnati police department investigated the parents actions, the zoo says they won't point fingers. the boy's parent say they do in the plan to zoo the sue, county prosecutors will review police department's findings before deciding whether or not to pursue charges against the boy's family. boxing legend mohammed ali is in the hospital recovering from a respiratory illness. a spokesperson says that the 74 years oldies being treated by a team of doctors and is in fair condition. ali suffers from parkinson's disease. former heavyweight champion has been battling the nervous system disorder for 30 years. iraqi forces say they are continuing to pushing into the islamic state, city of fallujah having secured its outskirts. iraqi officers say large number of civilians in the city is slowing down the military operations, because it means fewer air strikes can be carried out.
