donovan. >> i'm brooke thomas, lauren and meisha will be along, first more on the star studded memorial service happening today in muhammad ali's hometown. correspondent don done champion live in louisville, kentucky, thousands are expected to gather this morning. hello, don. >> good morning, brooke, jim, you know, people have come here from all over to remember the life of louisville's native son, service today will end a celebration that's been a week long for a man who not only had an impact on this city, but also this world. >> today's public memorial service for muhammad ali will be fit for a champion, after will smith, and former heavy weight boxing champ, lenox lewis, among eight paul bearers. >> i'm truly honored. he will always be remembered, and he will never be forgotten. >> and thousands attended traditionalist lamb i can prayer service for ali yesterday, where his family, was seen for the first time since his death, the service drew celebrities and fans

alike. >> well, he examplified all of the true virtues of islam, so together the community. >> today's interfaith event will draw dignitaries like mormon senator or and hatch, and the king of jordan, comedian billy crystal, and former president, bill clinton, will help eulogize the champ. >> you couldn't decide is this guy a boxer or a ballerina. the way he moved, the speed, the grace. >> before the service, a hurst will carry ali's body 19 miles through the city of louisville, past places he held close to his heart. >> this is why whenever i fight, i always make -- i was just so happy to be here -- >> ali will be laid to rest today at cape hill cemetery in his beloved hometown. >> as you know ali helped plan today's ceremony, several years ago, one of his big requirement, was that every day people be allowed to attend, and not just vips, we should mention, president obama did want to be here today, but valerie jared will

county 95 north at 452, gorgeous shot here, as well. arriving kind of right into the sunshine, so certainly have to be either have your blinders on, hands up, don't want to do. that will pack those sunglasses, accident here involving injuries. one person transported to the hospital. ninety-five southbound, before route 141, two lanes block right now. not going to cause too many slow downs yet. a lot of flashing light, going to start to get gaper delays, so just use your best caution there. i have construction coming up in just a couple every minute, brooke, over to you. >> thanks, meisha a tragedy in springfield delaware county this morning when fast moving fire claimed a life. you can see this home on east thompson avenue in granite terrace engulfed in flames. crews responded around 12:15 after and remained on scene for at least a hour, authorities have not identified the victim, or a cause of the fire at this time >> meisha while south jersey fire forces someone to jump from window to escape the flames. >> "eyewitness news" reporter jan carabeo is live in west depford, now, where she is getting closer look at the damage, good morning, jan, what's it look like?

>> reporter: brooke, jim, good morning. now that the fire fight is over, the cause investigation can begin, now that we have little bit more daylight and emergency crews have moved off this street, you can really get close up view of the damage left behind. flames quickly tore through this home, you can see, all the way through this morning. now, three people were taken to the hospital because of this fire. and we're told, one of those people was injured after jumping from a second story window to escape the flames. this fire started around 10:00 last night. here at 66 church street, west depford, gloucester county, when fire crews got the call, there were report of people trapped inside. fortunately, when they arrived, three people had already made their way out to safety. but again, one person had to make that drive escape by jumping from upstairs window. fortunately, no firefighters were injured. they did have a large fire fight on their hands, however. the home was engulfed in flames, and the fire grew so large that it also damaged a home next-door. >> aggressive attack, able to keep it to the majority, some

extention to the house next-door, minor damage, burnside, but able to just keep it to that. >> now, again, three people were taken to area hospitals, we are working to get an updated condition on all of those people, in the meantime, this fire cause is now under investigation. all questions are being diverted to the prosecutors office, hoping to get up a date from them, a little later on this morning, and, unfortunately, as you can see behind me this morning, this home looks to be complete lost. we are reporting live in west depford this morning, jan carabeo, cbs-3, "eyewitness news", jim, brooke, back into you. >> that's awful. thanks a lot, jan. in other news, police are investigating a homicide in hunting park. officers found a 47 year old man shot to death last night, in the 3900 block of north ninth street. another man with a gunshot to the shoulder showed up at temple university hospital. investigators believe both men were involved in a altercation. >> meanwhile, police are searching for the person who stalked a woman on the schuylkill river trail, then

slashed her across the forehead. it happened yesterday around 3:00 in the afternoon, the victim was taking to walnut st. when the suspect told her, quote, you don't know anything. then slashed her with a unknown object. she is going to be okay, but it is another reminder for people to be aware. >> i carry pepper spray with me. when i runny make sure to check my surroundings. >> anybody coming up close to you, you have to be leary about that. >> one attack is one too many. >> just last month there were two indecent exposure incidents on the trail. a volunteer watch group is putting up stick tears help tell first responders exactly where a victim is in case of an emergency. >> a philadelphia mother is charged with murder in florida after suffocating her two young children. this is the suspect, 40 year old sophia heinz, accused of smothering her two children with a bed sheet at relative's house in florida children were identified as three year old aerial, and seven month old saint lou owe. the suspect's husband, and

father, of saint lou owe said he's devastated. >> what was going on with her head, what's wrong with her, but i can't understand, i'm really confused right now, i'm trying to talk but the words just not coming. i have to forgive her in order for me to get boy. >> if she was so stressed, going through anything, she could have left them both there. >> florida investigators say heinz confessed to killing the children but did not offer an explanation why. >> in other news, pennsylvania governor tom wolf has asked the navy and air force to help cover costs associated with water contamination, at two bases in montgomery county. nearly 70,000 people who live near the horsham air guard station and the naval air warfare center in warminster may need blood testing. the water in both areas showed elevated levels of a cancer-causing chemical. according to governor wolf, the cost of these blood tests could exceed $7 million. >> coming up: see the new royal portrait just released in honor of the queen's 90 birthday. >> plus, joe biden said he is

welcome back everyone, the time 6:12. wildwood officials are asking for help cleaning up, after a big mess for memorial day weekends. >> the city now offering an incentive to take part in it beach clean-up tomorrow. crowds left a 15 block stretch of the beach a mess, trash over the holiday weekend last month. volunteers will get free pass toss see an advanced screening of finding dorey. >> so how will the beach weather be this weekend, lauren? >> beach weather is going to be beautiful, especially, if you're on three day weekends today, looking good, beautiful conditions, but we'll have to watch out for some storms, as we head into tomorrow. certainly no storms in the scene right now, getting live look at the neighborhood network in cut town,

55 degrees, blue sky conditions, looks so nice, green grass, beautiful. yes, a nice june friday in store. temperatures are little cool it start. might need couple of layers, 51 gressorial end town, 606 in philadelphia, cool in ac at 52 degrees, but at 60 in dover. storm scan3, showing us, a bunch of nothing. the closest showers, well off, northeastern new england, few clouds well off to the south, over the delmarva peninsula, otherwise, it is going to be another quiet day in store, mostly sunny conditions, 79 degrees, little bit after breeze under the northwest at around ten to 15 miles per hour. comfortable humidity levels again today. and then, tonight, gorgeous conditions. mainly clear, pleasant, dropping back to 60 degrees. sunset is at 8:29. and fast forwarding to tomorrow, down the shore, you'll have to watch out for some hit or miss showers, and thunderstorms, so probably be able to sneak some beach time in. keep close eye to the sky, hard to see the cumulus clouds rising up, definitely want to move inside, 08 degrees the high temperature down the shore tomorrow. that uv index at eight. need the sunscreen for sure.

severe weather threat is in place for tomorrow. the delaware valley, in a slight risk of severe weather, not going to see widespread severe storms, but other storms that do develop late day tomorrow, could be on the strong potentially severe side. so pretty quiet for the first half of the day. some scattered showers and storms developing, as we head into midday, and this particular model, but i think the concern will be later in the day with that potential store strong weather with some of the hit or miss showers and thunderstorms rolling through during the late afternoon and evening hours, main threat will be some strong gusty winds, so keep yourself up to date on the changing weather situation on saturday. and then, no concerns, into sunday, another warm day, eight a degrees, mostly sunny and bit windy, meisha, a then cooler by monday, 78, sunshine, breezy, ah, that's nice. >> yes, sure looks nice. the fact we can say 78 is cooler that's pretty good for us, right? this will be awesome day, guys, gorgeous outside. the boulevard headlight moving in the southbound direction forks street, see how many vehicles are now starting to hit the roadway. we can expect that now we are

>> back now, story sparking outrage across the country, now vice president joe biden weighing in on the stanford rape case. the vice president wrote an open letter to the woman who was sexually assaulted by this man, brock turner. the former sanford university swimmer was sentenced to six months in jail, for raping the unconscious woman, and that ignite add fire storm. the vice president wrote, quote, i am filled with furious anger, both that this happened to you, and that our culture is still so broken that you were ever put in a position of defending your own worth. he also called the victim's bravery, breathtaking. now, there is also growing backlash against the judge on the case. this man, judge aaron, is facing calls to step down. he's even gotten death threats over the ruling, now learning jurors don't even want to sit on his bench. about 20 potential jurors were let go wednesday from serving in judge's courtroom. they all claimed hardship.

>> lauren, thank you so much for that. >> good morning, everybody. okay, looking at some sunshine out there. >> when we have sun glare like this, sometimes, we might not know it, but this can cause some problems out there, because it can be so blinding. exactly happened here this accident, but just know, on the schuylkill, eastbound, at girard, we do have accident blocking the left lane, than is one that is going to really start to cause us some slow downs. because when you approach it, not only is it multiple vehicles here, you can see, some squad car with flashing light on, you will get the gaper delay. now actually have the volume levels to sustain some slow-downs. then, over on the shoulder, you have this guy, pulled all the way out to the far right shoulder. a lot of activity going on here, it is going to slow you down quite significantly the vine looking all right, 495, couple of more accidents i will tell but coming up in about ten minute, jim, over to you. >> thank you very much, meisha

a1 person is killed, after an intense fire rips through his home in springfield, delaware county. you can see this home on east thompson avenue in granite terrace engulfed in flames when firefighters arrived around 12:15 this morning. we just check with authorities, they've not yet identified the victim. so far, no word on the cause. >> three people are hurt after a fire destroys their home in gloucester county, it started around 10:00 last night, at 66 church street in west depford. the flames were so intense, that one resident jumps from second story window. the home next-door was also damaged, that cause of that fire is under investigation, as well. >> jim, police are looking for the person who attacked a woman on the schuylkill river trail. it happened yesterday, in broad daylight, on the steps lead to go walnut st. "eyewitness news" reporter justin finch is live along the trail which has been the site of numerous crimes, in recent months. justin? >> brooke, that's right. police say this victim here new that she was being followed. and now, a group of concerned

citizens is banding together to patrol the schuylkill river trail themselves, a public path that many want to see make safer now, especially, broad daylight. >> no, philadelphia, you just have to be, you know, safe and street smart. >> enjoying the schuylkill river trail are doing so with heightened sense of awareness. >> i carry pepper spray with me, when i run, i make sure to check my surroundings. >> not like i jog around here not careful looking around, but just this inheriter cognisance every what's going on. >> just before 3:00 p.m. thursday, philadelphia police, report a brazen attack, in broad daylight, 24 year old woman, stalk from behind, had been slashed across her forehead, police say, as she walked upstairs, to the walnut st. bridge, from the schuylkill river trail. seconds before the slashing, she recalls her assailant telling her quote you don't know anything. >> anybody coming up close to you, you have to be leary about that. >> there have been safety

concerns along this picturesque path before, just last month, reports of two men, in two separate instances, indecently exposing themselves within minutes of each other on the same saturday morning, only one suspect was caught. >> don't travel alone. you know, stay with a group, if you can. >> as police step up patrols, citizens are on guard, as well. the group will soon roll out schuylkill river trail watch, volunteers working in pairs, and trained to spot suspicious activity. >> we are hoping that the schuylkill river trail watch will be another level of, you know, of advocacy and another level of accountability, and watchful eye, you know, on top of what the police department is doing, and working really really hard. >> and as police are working that trail watch, set to start later this month, that victim suffered a gash to her forehead, was taken to presbyterian for treatment. meantime, police are still trying to track down the man who stabbed her. brooke, jim, back into you.

>> thanks a lot, justin. wow. >> frustration for one pennsylvania high school class, a student was arrested and the ceremony to be canceled after a threat of violence. the manheim central school district located near harrisburg, forced to cancel last night's ceremony after a student made a thread early yesterday. the threat allegedly referenced 1999 columbine high school shooting in which 15 people were killed, including two gunmen. >> well, the campaign for wheat house is heating up as hillary clinton picks up several key endorsement, and the democrats turn their sites to donald trump. hena dance yells with the latest from new york. >> leagued democrats endorsing hillary clinton's run for the white house. including president obama, who through his support behind his former secretary of state. >> look, i know how hard this job can be, that's why i know hillary will be so good at it. >> donald trump wasted no time going after his likely opponent. tweeting, obama just endorsed crooked hillary. he wants four more years of
