few days, a change coming? >> exactly, early to mid june. you know we can't have these nice pleasant days every day, so we'll bring back humidity just for today, the fact for showers, maybe some severe thunderstorms, painly in the afternoon, overall not bad a day. basically if you have outdoor plans, certainly the rest of the weekend also going to be in good shape, as well. just going to note the big change in the humidity as we head into the afternoon, right now though, very pleasant, all across the region, sitting at 61 degrees right now, light breeze out out of the south 5 miles an hour in philadelphia, getting ready for decent sunrise, clouds building from the north and west, 61 in the sit, then outer suburbs, drop off quickly, a in allentown, 59 in wilmington, back to mid 06 areas near the shore. look at quakertown, nice comfortable 48 degrees, another good night sleeping. you can kick off the ac, save couple of bucks on the electric bumm. that will will change today and tonight with the warmer air mass building on in. so dry right now, storm scan3,

generally clear sky. high clouds starting to build in, those clouds will thicken up later this morning into the afternoon, and then with that daytime heating see couple of showers and thunderstorms popping up. not everyone is going to see it, but you will feel the difference, a lot warm earn, more humid today, again, between 3:00 and 7:00. our best chance to see shower, thunderstorm, some storms could be strong to severe with high wind gusts and certainly some downpours. so forecast high today, jumping up to 88 degrees for philadelphia, at the shore, i think most of the day stays dry. if you see that storm, that will be mainly in the evening, low 80s, decent day in the poconos, better chance to see the storm earlier in the day with a high of 78. what to expect for the second half of the weekend in the full forecast in a few minutes, rahel, back to you. >> justin, thank you. act of violence cuts promising music career short, christina, burlington county native, shot to death last night after a concert in florida. >> reporter: good morning, 22 year old christina hailed from marlton, new jersey, just wrap upper form ands near orlando when a gunman opened fire. >> you guys what's up? we're in orlando today. >> just hours before that concert she first reached audiences in a big way on season six of the voice, polls that video asking for fans to come out to the show. she performed with the band before you exit at the plaza live theater. around 10:45, the show had wrapped up and police say she was signing autographs and selling merchandise when a gunman opened fire. christina was shot and taken to the hospital where she later died. >> we know that the suspect walked up and shot christina. at that point we know her brother tackled the suspect and that's when the suspect shot himself. >> her brother is being hailed as hero this morning, for halt that gunman from possibly hurting others. police have yet to nail down a motive in this. again, this young girl with a

beautiful voice was just 22. reporting live in the news center, alexandria hoff, cbs-3, "eyewitness news". >> alex, thank you. a car fire on i95 has sent one man to the hospital. it happened in the northbound lanes near the broad street exit in south philadelphia. take a look. this is video from our traffic camera, just before firefighters arrived on the scene. the 24 year old victim now at hahnemann hospital being treated for second agree burns. philadelphia police are investigating accusations of sexual assault against an eagles player. well, investigators are not identifying anyone, sources tell "eyewitness news", that wide receiver nelson agholor, is the one under investigation. now, police have not filed any charges, but as "eyewitness news" reporter greg argos tells us, the accusation comes from dancer at a south philadelphia gentleman's club. >> friday afternoon philadelphia police detective and during cheerleaders gentlemen's club in south philadelphia. one day after eagles wide receiver nelson agholor is

accused of sexually assaulting a dancer there. >> our special victims aoun sit actively investigating that incident or that report of that alleged incident. which would include interviewing witnesses, looking for any type of video surveillance or anything that far nature. >> philadelphia police off officer says the dance is her 27 years old, alleged sexual assault happened about 3:00 thursday afternoon, not formally naming aguilera person of interest. >> not releasing a name of any individual from the eagles organization, we do that because no one has been charged with anything. >> reporter: how much, sources tell cbs-3 eagles wide receiver nelson agholor, and at least one other player, were at the club. but only agholor is being investigated. in a statement, the eagles organization also indicate agholor is at the center of this alleged sexual assault, quote, we are aware of the police investigation involving nelson agholor. the organization has been in contact with nelson and with the property err authorities in philadelphia. because of the legal nature of

legend known as mr. hockey, gordy, the hall of famer died, under hospice care, he played 1767 games and, 32 seasons, 801 goals, second only to wayne gretzky. he helped the detroit red wins win four stanley cups, did not retire until 52 years old, his son mark played for the flyers. gordie howe was 88. >> now a look at tense moments during police involved shooting at love field in dallas, happened outside the terminal yesterday, and the whole incident caught on surveillance camera. >> reporter: passengers scattered as gunshots rang out near the baggage claim area at busy love field in dallas friday afternoon. cell phone video captured the dramatic confrontation. -- confrontation, dallas police released surveillance video, shows man involved in a altercation with the mother of his children. the video shows the suspect,

sean diamond, using a traffic cone to smash the back window of their car. he then picks up rocks, and starts throwing them t we see a police officer confront the suspect, investigators say, diamond still had rocks in his hand. the suspect moves toward the terminal, and then at an officer. the suspect is shocked. surveillance video then shows the suspect on the ground, he jump up and runs at one of the officers. >> the individual came toward him again, and so he discharged his weapon, number of times. >> police say the gunshots triggered panic inside the airport, as travelers ran for cover. >> there was some folks in the security line who were startled, and so they went through the security line without being checked. >> every traveler had to be re-screened. that caused chaos and long lines, officers say the woman was not injured. the suspect, was taken to a nearby hospital. omar villafranca, for cbs-3,

"eyewitness news". police make arrest after a vicious attack on the schuylkill river trail in philadelphia. twenty-nine year old isiah cheese borough of elmwood is facing aggravated assault and other charges for the thursday afternoon attack. investigators say, he slashed a 24 year old woman across her forehead with a sharp object, treated for 3-inch long cut at a local hospital. >> a pizza delivery man shot execution style during a robbery in southwest philly is out of the hospital. shot in the back of the head near 59th and bo month streets on monday night. two suspects took the victim's wallet, got in his car before leaving a few blocks away. amazing, after the shot, he had enough strength to search for help. >> he took my shirt and put my shirt on where i am bleeding and called the cops, before the cops could get -- >> and those two suspect are

sign of some warmer air, also, frontal boundary approaching. feel the difference come this afternoon. if you don't like heat, humidity, get outside the next several hours, the morning will still be pretty pleasant. warm today, hot as well, temperatures surging back above average in the 70s the past several days, upper 80s, some spots could hit 09. talk about the storm chance, don't get used to the seat. see another drop in temperatures early next week, so few more days, and those conditions are coming right back to the region, comfortable in millville, atlantic city at the airport, 55 degrees, little mild nerve dover at this hour at 62. up in chalfont, comfortable 52, 57 in malvern, and then quakertown, look at that, 48 degrees still at this hour, very pleasant, pottstown five; allentown, sitting at 50 degrees. humidity levels still on the low side, we look at the dew point temperature right now, starting to creep to up 52. but for this time of year, hey, we call it awesome. later today, tonight, i think these numbers will come out to

the 60s, will feel more steamy for the second half of the day into the overnight hours tonight. the reason, warmfront will track through, cold front still to the west, inbetween the warm humid air mass moving in from the north and west, starting to see couple of showers fire up in western pennsylvania, but as we hit the afternoon with the daytime heating, see some heavier showers, storms, pop up, again, it will be scattered, not everybody sees it. best chance, late afternoon into the evening. your shore forecast today, i mentioned not bad beach day. eighty-three for the high temperature, little breezy, late day storm coming in mainly during the evening hours, ocean chilly at 61 degrees, rip risk remains on the low side, but always make sure the lifeguards on the stand before you hit the water. so pretty much a happen-half weekends going on today, hot, humid, chance with late day shower or thunderstorm, upper 80s to near 90. tomorrow pretty good. get the colds front through the morning, now humidity drops, but will still stay warm, mid 80s for sunday hi, but we keep it dry. outdoor plans, any time during the day sunday, look good. then into next week, monday we

start to cool back down, lower 80s, upper 70s, nice refreshing breeze returns out of the north wells, keeping those humidity levels on the low side. part of the area in slight risk for severe storms this afternoon, that's 15% mainly from about the city on northward, less after chance the farther south you go. so again, watch out for the scattered thunderstorms, main threat would just be strong wind gusts potentially up to 60 miles per hour in some of the storms. not much happening through this morning, into early afternoon, just some clouds building. we go to 4:00 start to see heavier showers, storms, moving in from the north and west around 5:00 or so near the city, move into south jersey by 6:00, 7:00. then move off shore. little bo there indicate in the some of the storms indicate ago potential for the strong wind gusts, sunday, looks good, back to mostly sunny skies. hot day today, mid upper 80s, close to 90 in some spots, warm tonight, will need the ac, muggy, low 70s, that's about it, then tomorrow, still warm, but less humid. so forecast high today, 88 degrees, late day shower,

makers pushing for new technology that can block the unwanted calls. >> joe fishman said he constantly gets calls from tell he markers better known as robo calls. >> about dozen on my land line, maybe another two, three on my cell phone. >> is that driving you crazy? >> ya, there is distraction. they are an intrusion. >> fishman is frustrated because years ago he signed up for the do not call registry. along with more than 200 million other americans, but it turns out, the registry doesn't stop all the calls it should. >> a major reason why, many companies don't abide by the registry, and call anyway, and there is rarely a punishment. >> this is insane. >> sick of robo calls, congress woman jacky spear introduced legislation that forces phone companies to give customers the ability to block telemarketers. >> tell he come, you have to provide for no charge. the opportunity for your

>> good morning, i'm rahel solomon, well the last few days have been nice, pleasant, justin joining us on the cbs-3 skydeck, might get humid, might even get some showers today? >> with the heat and humidity, does bring chance for scattered, strong, maybe severe thunderstorms coming in late in the afternoon, typical summertime pattern. but still, very nice outside right now. you just will notice the jump in humidity as we head into the afternoon, and certainly, the evening hours. so, if you like pleasant conditions, now is the time to get outside and it will stick around for the next few hours, check out the numbers, very comfortable, in the low 50's, coolest suburbs, ooh in allentown, 61 at the airport, low 06 in the capitol city of delaware. we head to the northwest suburbs even cooler, 48 degrees right now, in quakertown, our coolest spot of the map, palmyra new jersey good morning, you guys sitting at 55 degrees, nice and quiet on storm scan3 as of now, just mid to high level clouds, that are starting to roll on in, warmfront that's going to push through later this morning, bringing back the humidity,

snapshot of how long penn state hire ups, including legendary coach joe paterno, allegedly new of improper contact and sexual abuse of children by sandusky. newspapers across the state challenged the courts to unseal the records after allegation leaked out last month where it was claimed a student complains in the 19 70s to coach paterno of inapropriate contact by sandusky. >> the only way to move the university forward is to put this matter behind the university. >> attorney tom kline, who represented one of sandusky's victims, forcefully spoke out against this move. >> the victims are the ones who are caught in the middle. the victims are the ones who become the folk us. >> the courts have said any release of information will not include victims' names. the late coach's son, scott paterno, took to twitter writing about the un vetted allegations, clothe, claims, un corroborated and un stab stance ate dollars claims. let's see what they say under oath. >> kline said the release of the information is another

in the wrong direction on so many issues we care about, economic justice, workers rights, civil rights, human right, the envier on the, all of that is on the line in this election. >> and the new york times is reporting that bernie sanders is meeting with key supporters of vermont tomorrow. they will reportedly discuss the state of the presidential race. >> well, first daughter malea obama now a high school graduate. the 17 year old graduated from syd well friends in northwest dc. after the ceremony, the obama family went to lunch. there was no media coverage of the graduation, but you might remember earlier this year, the president predicted he would be sitting there with dark glasses sobbing. malea will take gap year before end flowing harvard in 2017. >> london, they are celebrating queen elizabeth's birthday again. celebrations were held when she turned 90 in april, in addition, three days of public events are held in june by royal tradition. on friday, a carriage took her

to st. paul cathedral for service with her family, and dignitaries, and later this weekend there will be street party for 10,000 people. >> happy birthday. a local church is work to go provide a retreat-like setting for veterans having a tough time after returning home from the war zone. an amazing grace ministries just purchased plot of land along a lake in franklinville, gloucester county. the church plans to build cabin size houses for veterans, pastor and veteran donnie davis said this could provide just the peaceful setting vet need to get their lives back in order. >> one thing that say have a good day and pat them on a back, but too many people in gloucester county that are homeless. it provides all you need, kitchen it, living room, on. >> hopes to build 60 houses by the ends of 2018. >> new owner of the revel in atlantic city says part of the resort will reopen next week. glenn staub says 900 hotel
