orlando, florida earlier this morning. there are reports of multiple injuries. a posting on the night club's facebook page urged people to get out of the club and to keep running. orlando police warned residents to stay away from the area multiple emergency vehicles have been reportedly responding including the orlando fire department's bomb squad and hazardous materials team. once again a mass shooting at a gay nightclub in orlando, multiple people hurt. we will follow this this morning and bring you this breaking news as soon as more becomes available. this shooting comes after another shooting in orlando that left new jersey state singer cristina grimmie death. authorities are trying to figure out why a gunman shot and killed the rising star. 22-year old marlton native was signing autographs after her performance friday night at the time. police say 27 year-old kevin james loibl was fired the shots and tackled to the ground by grimmie's brother. loibl then turned the gun on himself. he went on the show, intend to

#pray for cristina is now trending on line. south jersey community is also mourning loss of the singer of a memorial for cristina grimmie continues to grow at cherokee high school in her hometown of marlton, burlington county. our coverage continues on line. get the latest on the death of cristina grimmie at cbs-3 eye.com. police are investigating a homicide in the grays ferry neighborhood. officers tell us two men were the shot around 11:00. bullet casings and guns littered 18th and tasker. one man died at the scene, other in critical condition. the investigators tell us the victim had died had heroin and thousands of dollars of carbon him. they believe this may have been a robbery gone bad. police are also investigating a double stabbing in center city philadelphia officers tell us two women got in the fight near 13th and locust street. both were rushed in the hospital with stab wound to the face and chest. both are said to be in stable

condition. an 11 year-old boy is recovering this morning after he have was struck by a car in north philadelphia. crash happened yesterday afternoon at 19th and lehigh. up investigators say the 28 year-old driver of a volkswagen struck a nissan, his vehicle leaped the road hit a boy and then a building. fifty-nine two-year old woman driving the nissan is hospitalized in critical condition. >> i'm coming from this way. i said you about to hit that little boy. she came across there one got out of the way, other one she hit him right in the wall. >> the child is in stable condition, and the driver of the volkswagen suffered minor injuries. the cause of the crash is under investigation. happening right now hundreds of cyclist are gearing up for the forty-fourth annual bike-a-thon. cyclist are riding from philly to the shore to raise money for the american cancer society. race begins at the foot of the ben franklin bridge around 6:30 this morning. bridge will close for about an hour once cyclist make their

investigating a deadly hot air balloon accident near rochester, new york. balloon carrying passengers and crew, landed in a field on friday night. the four crew members held the balloon down while passengers got out of the basket but somehow it started rising again and that is when one of the crew members were tangled in the balloon. he was lifted 100 feet off the ground before falling to his death. well, you have heard of snakes on the plane, how about snake in the car? arkansas woman somehow managed to stop her car after a 4-foot long rat snake dropped from her dashboard and went across her feet. it happened as she was driving on i49 in fayetville, arkansas. >> it was rough, scaley and as it went across my feet, that is the nail on the chalkboard type thing. i can guarantee thaw my knees were up next to my ears. >> rat snakes are not venomous but they are pretty scary, and animal control officers came

good morning, i'm rahel solomon, thanks so much for spending part of your weekend with us. lets get out to meteorologist justin drabick out on the sky deck and justin for those folks who may not be the fan of the humidity, ourselves included to day should be nice. >> it will be much better, especially this afternoon. now this morning we're still on the muggy side but not as bad as yesterday afternoon. you can see generally the sunshine, outside right now, there is mid to high level cloud but they will push off to the east as a cold front is actually moving through. it is coming through dry, we are not seeing any rain and what it is, it will change up

humidity levels especially later tonight. tonight you can open up windows and crank ac on last night with temperatures that barely got down in the lower 70's in a lot of locations. still another warm day but noticeably less humid. we still have widespread 07's in the region. we will go to our... no audio. >> lehigh valley up to 71 as well. so, the trend will be for cooler temperatures in the seven day forecast but today's high will get up to 86 degrees. windy at times, and then, see the seven day forecast, tomorrow, we will be noticeably cooler. we will bring back the below average temperatures with a high of 78, sunshine and clouds. still breezy. dry stretch continues, tuesday into wednesday, low humidity levels. thursday is our next chance for rain. it is not a high chance. really pleasant temperatures as we head to the final weekend of the spring season. we will talk about more

details, and the long term trendies as well coming up later in the show. now back over to you, rahel. >> justin, thank you. lets get back out to that breaking news in west philadelphia, fire fighters are on the scene of the three alarm fire in the 4300 block of chestnut street. cherri gregg from our sister station kyw news radio is live on the scene with the very latest, i realize you just got there, what can you tell us? >> reporter: well, i can tell you that this is a three alarm fire, as you can see behind me. i will get out of the way. the fire seems to be under control but there are a couple of hot spots. this is at the corner of the forty-third and chestnut street and the netherlands. it is a four story, it looks like an apartment building, over 100 residents at this time have been displaced and evacuated from this building. fire officials are still on the scene. they again have gotten the fire under control. there are over a dozen emergency and fire vehicles

here. as you can see they are still working, they are on ladders, using their hoses, to put out those hot spots, again, 100 people have been displaced, they have been moved to forty-fourth and samson that is what we have been told by fire officials, the fire commissioner is on the scene here, he will be speaking to reporters, within the hour. the fire again is under control. there are a couple of hot spots here and there. the chestnut street will be shut down from forty-second street to forty-fifth street for the rest of the the day. we are still awaiting official word from the fire commissioner but we have 100 people displaced, red cross has been notified, and there are no injuries reported at this time. so that is definitely good news, but again, there is still working to get out hot spots and this fire here at the netherland. live from west philadelphia cherry greg for kyw news radio

it just bought a 267-acre plot of land in franklinville where they plan to house veterans. >> one thing to say have a good day and pat them on their back but there is too many guys that need a place to stay or that are homeless. >> reporter: former campground has been untouched for a decade and could provide a peaceful setting for vets that necessity need with combat experience to get their lives back together again, where they will stay are micro houses similar to this cabin. >> it is a 300 square foot house and provides basic, kitchen, living room, bedroom. >> reporter: ministry is hopeful by end of the 2018 they will build 60 of these houses and provide veterans with the place to stay for up to 24 months. >> when you recognize, realize, 22 vets a day take their lives because of struggle with ptsd we have to do this. >> reporter: property has always been in amazing grace possession for a week but several agencies are already helping line up resources. they are looking for volunteers and donations to get things going. in franklinville, cleve bryan,

"eyewitness news" at pen wood elementary school. alex friend and family continue to honor her dream holding a fun school event every june. just like other alex lemonade stand this one also raised money to fight childhood cancer. another lemonade stand was held in woolwich township gloucester county. this one was hosted by ten year-old mario carpino who has been battling inoperable brain tumors since seven. this is mario's sixth annual lemonade stand and this year he hopes to raise $50,000. >> not only are we doing this to find a cure for mario but we are could go it to find a cure for every child who is battling the toughest battle that they were handed to them. >> listen to this over the
