at times and fire trucks pull up and leave after zero minutes. so, this was, this was a real event, this time. >> reporter: just after 3:00 15a safety system boiler blew out at the plant. blast broke a window in the building and injured an employee treated on the scene. fire department says that one woman was hurt by glass shattering in her home, she was taken to the hospital with minor injuries. >> the explosion was so loud. i thought my chest was just, my heart was just being so hard. it was very frightening. >> reporter: fire fighters checked homes in the immediate area for gas and carbon monoxide and then gave all clear but welch says concerns remain. >> it would be nice if the folks at the power plant would let us know when there are these strange, loud noise that is shake our house, which happen monthly and we never know what is actually happening. >> reporter: in a statement they say they will conduct a full investigation into what

happened, this provides steam power to the city and service was not affect. we are live from grays ferry i'm trang do for cbs-3 "eyewitness news". >> trang, thank you. a search for a two-year old in orlando has come to an end tonight. officials found the remains of the toddler just a few hours ago and they have identified the boy as lane graves from nebraska. he and his family were on the beach at a disney world resort tuesday night when an alligator came out of the water and pulled him in. >> although we have some sort of closure our investigation is still ongoing and we will continue to evaluate the evidence that we have, and try to continue searching and make certain that we have the alligator that was involved and that we remove it from the lake. >> alligators are part of the eco system in florida but while this tragedy may ab alarming wild life experts say instant tents like this are not unusual. humans are not usually a

target for them. >> natural food of an alligator, they will eat, you know, small mammals, large enough for them to eat. they can ethan malls that are near water like raccoons, or possums, they will fish, small reptiles, turtles, they can even eat oral gators. >> experts say alligators are so common in florida they really can be found anywhere. investigators are talking to the wife of the gunman who carried out orlando massacre. >> fbi is trying to figure out just how much nora salmon knew about her husband's plan to commit that terror attack. cbs news has learned she went her husband omar mateen ahead of his shooting rampage at pulse nightclub early sunday morning. but it is still unclear how much that she knew about the plan. >> the fbi is reconstructing the subject's movement going back months, days, hours and minutes before the fatal accident here at pulse

motivation to help is reaching our region. >> every two seconds someone needs blood. >> reporter: but because of federal regulations men who had sexual contact with other men within a year of trying to donate blood are banned from doing so but before 2014 there was a lifetime ban on blood donation from his those who had male to male sexual contact. >> i'm torn about that, i guess risk is if they have hiv infection that can get in the blood supply but at the same time i know red cross screens for that. >> science is advanced enough they can protect it without stigma advertising an entire population and cutting them out saying your bloodies automatically tainted because you are gay. >> f.d.a. says regulations are based on stud that is show those with male to male sexual contact are 62 times more likely to contract hiv. but marcus sandman a hahnemann university hospital fellow studying infectious diseases believe regulations should be lifted. >> they are putting a blanket

and it all happened on noon at third street and tabor avenue. we are told police car collided with another vehicle and rammed in the side of the church no word if anyone inside was hurt. four children under the age of 16 are recovering after being is not wilmington last night. neighbors say this isn't first burst of violence in that community this week. rachel hearsay shots were closed and sounded like blasts. >> it actually made me run, and duck and hide until it was all over with. >> reporter: just outside her door at read and van buren streets four teenagers had been hit by bullets. victims between 12 and six years old and three of them were shot multiple times. >> it was just, a nightmare really. i mean, you know, there was several children that got shot. >> reporter: darlene says her 12 year-old grandson christian williams was among the wounded. he was in surgery this morning for a bullet still lodged in his hip. he had been shot in the side. >> low and behold i walk around the corner and i saw my grandson, sitting on the steps with glad shattered behind him from the gunshots. >> reporter: this wilmington neighborhood known as hedgeville has seen three shooting this is week. there are a total of six

gunshot victims. neighbors out here questioned safety of the their community and wonder what will be done to address the violence. >> what made it even worse is that the kids, a kid, you know, it is really sad, really sad, and heart breaking, oppositely. >> about these questions concerning gun violence we did take our questions to the mayor on behalf of this community, mayor dennis williams responded quoting the police department continues to attack gun violence within the local community by increasing the presence of uniformed officers, and talking with community members to pro actively respond to violent crime. now within the last two hours we did again reach out to wilmington police for an update on their investigation and question have they made any arrests? that request for information was not immediately returned. live from wilmington joe holden for cbs-3 "eyewitness news". >> joe, thanks very much. jurors they have wrapped up day one of the deliberations in the chaka fattah trial.
