orlando when she was shot and killed signing autographs. we will have a full report at 6:00. >> details are emerging in the investigation of the massacre in orlando. they say omar mateen was in direct communication, with his wife, during the attack, that left 49 people dead, and another 53 people were injured. correspondent weijia jiang shows you the disturbing text messages. >> law enforcement tells cbs news orlando nightclub shooter omar mateen was a regular in on line chat rooms, specifically searching to meet up with both men and women. it is not yet known if he met anyone. mateen's digital trail is also giving investigators a clearer time line of sunday morning's rampage. u.s. official tells cbs news that before the attack, the mateen posted his allegiance of al qaeda on taste book and then started shooting. at some point he checked to see if the attack was trending on social media. he also called 911 and a tv

six teens on a bike run down on broad street, the driver never stopped but didn't get too far. an alert officer caught up with the suspect, just a few blocks away, "eyewitness news" continues at 5:30, good evening, i'm natasha brown. i'm jessica dean. "eyewitness news" reporter anita oh is live at spring garden where police say this could have been much worse, anita. >> natasha and jessica several teens were riding their bikes here on north broad street near wallace street but police say they were going in the opposite direction, that is when they say a speeding driver, crashed into two of them but never stopped. >> i mean, who does that. >> hit and run. >> reporter: philadelphia police say that is exactly what landed two teenage boys in the hospital on friday morning, after a red 2002 lexus slammed into them. they were riding on the same bicycle on north broad street. police say instead of stopping

welcome back on the cbs-3 healthwatch this sunday is fathers day a family celebrating all kind of tradition toss honor dad. >> health reporter stephanie stahl is here to tell us about one special fat shore has a lot to celebrate. >> fathers and sons have all kind of traditions, and special bond. well, tonight we have this story of the dad who gave his young son, the gift of life, twice. jacob ortiz and his dad are regulars the may ground but just six months ago the two-year old was deathly ill. >> we were very scared. it was a very dark time. >> jacob was diagnosed with a rare liver disease. >> bile ducts just don't form properly there is no way for bile to get out of the liver and it becomes diseased and ultimately fails.

>> reporter: after several unsuccessful treatments, doctors say jacob urgently needed a new liver but an organ his own size rarely becomes available so jake gave his son a piece of his own liver. >> when you see your child, in need, you want to do what you can to help out as much as possible. >> reporter: doctors removed about 25 percent of jose's liver and gave to it jacob. the that piece have of liver will regenerate and grow along with jacob for the rest of his life. >> we need an artery, vein, bile duct but we can split liver in the the way that we can use part to transplant the child. >> reporter: so this fathers day jose is being celebrated forgiving jacob life twice. >> i'm grateful that i was able to do this. >> i wish i could give him a parade, deserves everything. >> reporter: wow. so they say, it will be a very special fathers day for that family. with jacob now well, but he has to stay on medications so
