4:44 am
downpours, we do sit in some spots in our area in a slight risk for severe weather which we will get to. but at the moment these thunderstorms are almost right along this entire stretch of i80. so, i wouldn't be shocked if there are a lot of vehicles pulled over on the shoulder right now, just waiting for this to clear through. as we track this, it looks as though it is sort of just going to slide, basically, to the south-southeast, it does not right now appear as though this batch is going to make it to philadelphia. time will tell. in the meantime, as we look across our region in terms of any severe threat, slight risk extending basically into the southern part of new jersey, most of the state of delaware, if your travels take you south along i-95 into maryland, finds marginal risk it, includes us here in philadelphia. off to the north, more of general risk, but those thunderstorms off to the north along i80 mean business. this is for the rest of the day, down toward gusty winds, possibility of small size hail, as well, can't rule out, certainly as we saw on doppler frequent lightning also associated with it, let's
4:45 am
track this, started off here and now, lock at this, see how it sort of glides east. so philadelphia will likely end up with some showers, but not the drenching heavy thunderstorms like currently finding. don't get too used to the fact we'll see sun throughout the afternoon. still spotty showers if not thunderstorm, then likely as colds front crosses through see another heavy batch of thunderstorms, rumble in here, and that's where your slight risk comes into play for the southern tear of the area. so i like how this model initialize z as it translates to the storm prediction center, southern region, most susceptible to the heavy stuff later today. then we clear it out. by tomorrow. so things are looking up for us here as we catch a break in the action tomorrow, the problem is another low already moving in on thursday. so rain and thunderstorms return to the forecast, but it all bodes well for friday, saturday, and yes, even sunday. we look like get nice three day weekends coming up here with highs rebounding mid and even upper 80s, meisha, back to you. >> it will be a crazy roller coaster today, thank you so much. good morning, right now the road we are looking at, the

4:54 am
northern sussex county, these will continue to, again, traverse this region, move out to sea, and then we will also see another round, we think, later on today, so, this is one of those variety pack type of forecasts that you will see some sunshine, if you have got outdoor plans, just got to plan it outright, generally the morning or i should say late morning into the early afternoon, we are going to see at least some sunshine, but heat up easily to 90 degrees, but later on today, scattered thunderstorms, strong, if not locally severe variety, are going to bring fresh downpours, gusty winds, and some potential anyway for some hail out, there as well, so we have to keep close watch on the radar, absolutely do that for you, both on air, on line. meantime, if you are hit willing the shore towns here today, you do get in on some nice weather. the whole day, can't guarantee that you are going to stay rain free, again, scattered thunderstorms start to fire up, weaver got some out there now, some later on today, but tomorrow, meisha, a nice little break between systems at least. >> yes, then the weekend sounds like might be nice. all right, katie, thank you so much. that's great information to
