thomas, glad you're joining thus morning, katie and meisha are here, as women, keeping ion things, as always, hey, ladies? roads are looking good, just construction out there, no accidents to report, but everyone is wondering, when is the rain going to come in? >> depend where you are, time of day really, weaver some storms out there right now, just showed you, not everyone is getting hit. dry on the skydeck, for example, and actually still looking dry here, and you might have to look closely, but i want to show this view for a reason, pleasant valley middle and high school. notice for one thing, the temperature actually 71, but the sun hasn't even come up. it feels more like 77. indicative of the fact that you've got high dew points, in other words, very high humidity, a lot of moisture to work with, just across the skyline though should start to see storms moving in, trees right here in the for grounds, and they have been swaying quite violently, as the breeze continues to pick up there is starts to move in. take a look, very some i had line of very heavy

thunderstorms moving south of the i08 corridor. i wouldn't have been shocked to see a lot of vehicles pulled off on the shoulder, because this is heavy rain, folks, moving basically southeast, so this is how it looks lick it will track. not necessarily hitting philadelphia, rather, little bit more south-southeast as opposed to straight south. now, there is also a heavy batch currently falling across portions every sussex county, delaware, then also right now, almost all of cape may county currently involved with that. so that's what you are facing right now. once this clears out, in the next few hours, which it will, we spike to 90 degrees currently at 75, though, at the airport, so nice warm start, to get it going, and have no problem we think, meisha, hitting 909 with additional thunderstorms firing up later on this afternoon. over to you. >> that seems to be the picket, that hot humidity, and then the rain and thunderstorms, thanks, good morning everyone, all right, looking at the roads right now, you are actually in really good company in the roads that i've been looking at so far are dry. so far. give yourself couple every extra minutes today. you might need. that will vine westbound to the schuylkill, what you are

looking at, looking good both moving in the westbound and eastbound side. fifty-nine south at cottman, one of the areas we always take a peak at early in the morning, looking good around the s curve, see how many vehicles are out there already. not only moving in the southbound side, but also, on the northbound side, as well. some construction out there for you, pa turnpike westbound between norristown, valley forge, left lane is block there. and also, some more on the pa turnpike, pa turnpike eastbound between downingtown and valley hill road, right lane block there. just reminder, 495 northbound, at edgemore road, the off and onramps are closed and they'll be closed until next thursday, so make note of that if you use those regularly, and i'll have you date coming up in about ten minutes, jim, over to you. >> thank, meisha a topping the news this morning, police are searching for five suspect wanted for vicious attack in south philadelphia. >> this happened right outside a popular late night restaurant. "eyewitness news" reporter jan carabeo live at the scene of the crime with the latest on the investigation, jan? >> reporter: brooke, jim, this was absolutely brought al attack right here outside of

geno's steaks in south philadelphia. it happened just about a week and a half ago. and now, philadelphia police want the public's help in tracking down this group of attackers. this comes as the victim speaks out to "eyewitness news". >> patrick cane's cuts and bruises are just about healed now, but ten days ago, he look like this. a black eye, and cuts to his face. after police say he was attack outside geno's steaks in south philadelphia. >> got punched in the nose, then i got punched in the back of the head, and when i was kind of bent over i got a couple of uppercuts to my face. >> now philadelphia police are looking for this group of five men, surveillance video caught the whole thing. police are only releasing this video saying the fight is too brutal. kane spoke with "eyewitness news" about the encounter. it was saturday june 11, kane from jenkintown was with his wife and some friends, and they all wanted a steak after attending a wedding so they stopped by geno's. >> my wife's girlfriends, asked one of the guys at the table, hey, does anybody have a cigarette i can bumm? and off they went. guy lost his minds, got real

angry yelling at us, like you don't know who i am. >> violence he escalated quickl, one of the men claimed he was a member of isis. >> he got angry, got in our face, shoved her, then my wife said don't put your hands on a girl, they hit her. so the guy i was with, he and i are all right, that's it. >> kane was outnumbered, five to one, he turned down medical treatment afterward and wrote what happened off as a bad fight. >> it is ridiculous like this is what happens in the city any more, like everything just escalates right to violence, anger, and people blow up for no reason. like there is no reason for t just stupid. >> now, police say this group of five men actually left this area in two vehicles, one is a dark colored pick-up truck, the other is a suv. both, they say, have new jersey plates. anyone with information is asked to call police. we're reporting live in south philadelphia, jan carabeo, cbs-3, "eyewitness news", jim, brooke, back into you. >> thanks, jan. new this morning two men are in em it be hospital with gunshot wounds after shooting in kensington.

a 11 year old was hit in the leg and the 23 year old was shot in the back near g and east madison streets around 1:30 this morning. police say the gunman likely used two guns. they say he is about 5-foot six with dredlocks. several cars parked on the block were also hit by the gunfire. >> two philadelphia women who survived last week's night club shooting in orlando now back home. recovering from gunshot wounds. but as you can imagine, they told "eyewitness news" reporter trang do, their pain is much more than just physical. >> kira parker back on her feet at home, week after her life changed forever. >> shot here, entrance wound here, and it came out of my back, back here. >> physically she is healing. emotionally, it will take time. >> this is real, real pain, real emotion, i was really hurt. my cousin was really killed. like i had to witness that with my own eyes. i had to witness people die in front of me. >> her cousin a kira murray one of the 49 people killed

inside pulse night club in orlando on june 12th. a kira, tear a, friend patience carter, all bleeding from gunshot wounds huddled together in a bathroom stall for hours. awaiting for help. tiara face-to-face with her cousin's killer. >> i keep hearing i was one of the only few people who made it out of there alive, and looking that man in his face. and i was shot through my left leg here. >> with a shattered feel or, it will likely be four, six months before patience will walk again. >> the thought that i'm just really so unable to move around, on my own, is a constant reminder like i really went through this. these are really holes in my legs. and i really have to sit here and wait until i heal. >> we will all get through it, all of us. so it is just a tough time. >> tiara's mom taking on the huge task of nursing both girls back to health. >> i stay strong, while i'm in front of them. i don't want them to so me upset or stuff like.

and greg woods, down in palermo, new jersey, also reporting some thunderstorms. not everyone is getting hit. actually dry in philadelphia right now. but go ahead, take you outside here to our bethlehem camera. couple of miles south of where keith is reporting you can see the tell tail signs of flags waiving in the breeze there, at the moment, looks like the roads are dry, no rain yet. but, there is a batch of heavy thunderstorm currently moving, actually, south. now, if we wait long enough, might see lightning, regardless see the winds starting to move some of the trees around, move the flags around. here's why: colds front set to cross through today, out in advance heavy thunderstorms igniting, likely to see second rounds later today, that's actually going to put us in slight ritz being for weather across delaware, song new jersey, right now r already have some thunderstorm moving through with frequent lightning showing up here, out to some of the area shore towns, and these are the storms that are definitely going to be nudging into bethlehem, if it hasn't already, start today rain where you currently are in

that area. so, that is the story for now. we catch a break, you will see some sunshine throughout the day, all of these spot, but then, later on, that second round fires up. not widespread wash-out material. but if you see some of the thunderstorms spark, you will get heavy rain, very likely have gusty winds as well as frequent lightning, that's the story and the legacy so far, for storms already errupted, and there is at least low chance that we see some hail, i can't totally rule out tornado, but it is a very, very low possibility. so, that said, here's where we stand temperature wise right now. we have seen temperature difference of ten plus degrees more on that thermometer than we saw this same time yesterday. so as it translates to the thermometer, talking temperatures currently in the mid and even upper 70s some spots, 75 apiece, atlantic city as well as philadelphia. and that's going to easily set us on pace to hit 09 with no problem today. heat, humidity, sets the stage for good instability to get these heavy thunderstorms

later on. we catch break in the action tomorrow, meisha, a by thursday, more rain, more thunderstorms. >> sounds like a good time, katie. thank you. good morning, everyone, all right, well, looking at the schuylkill, so far so good. but you can see how many vehicles are already out there. so this is the schuylkill headlight moving in the eastbound direction there, and you can see a lot of vehicles out there. we actually have little bit of flashing lights here, might be some construction crews, either way see all of the vehicles around here, again, that is moving in the eastbound direction, on the schuylkill, at gulph mills. 422, tail light moving in the eastbound direction, beautiful shot here. sun is trying to come up little bit, lighting up the sky for us, see how many vehicles are out there. actually looking pretty good. 422 approaching oaks, not too bad at all. admiral wilson boulevard eastbound, that left lane still blocked due to some construction, make note of that, dealing with that, now, bore a week or so, and we have more construction, i'll have that reminder coming up in a little bit. overall a lot of construction, most of which is starting to clear right now, and updates
