well, flooding rains turn a d.c. met the tro station into a waterfall. >> look at this officials say it was too much water, too fast tuesday afternoon. metro provided this time lapse video of their cleveland park station where riders just basically waited through rushing water. it only lasted 12 minutes but that was enough to cause a headache. they are looking at ways to fix their drainage issues. y don't ever want to be somewhere where i get that much rain that quickly and just causes something like that. >> you just don't want your shoes to get wet, is that right. >> that is bananas right there. >> that is just crazy. you said earlier, never wear blue suede shoes. that is worst idea. we are watching wet weather moving our way that could lead to some brief flooding downpours here in areas.
6:45 am
but lets look at what is going on. i want to go further inland first because we are starting to see wet weather eventually start to pick up, at least first and foremost here in nottingham fran is reporting light drizzle that has just started to heat up. within the last ten to 15 minutes. we are seeing things get underway. if you were with us just a couple minutes ago, i started to feel, it was all light rain but a couple of rain drops now starting to fall. lets go to another one here go further east into new castle county if we can get it, maybe in the, we will go to one further south, 65 from delores. she's seeing rain here in newark delaware and update again in the has ten to 15 minutes the rain has just begun. so, what started off as a absolutely glorious sunrise is starting to get very skewed here by the approaching wet weather. we have got some very heavy thunderstorms, ones right new right here on the tail even of the loop, those are nasty and mean business. when we have that bowing you know it is all win driven
6:46 am
thunderstorms moving in. it is tough to tell because is there so much rainfall intensity but there are lightening strikes that are showing up here on the tail end of the loop. we are basically getting grazed by this whole thing but in the meantime, a southern tear of our area basically all of the state of delaware and draw a line from southern salem to atlantic county all points south that is where we sit in the slight risk to day. when you say slight risk best chance region wide for most strong storms. in terms of the rainfall amounts we could see minor flash flooding, it would be pretty brief but possibility that you end up with over an inch of rain goes especially to delaware, southern new jersey and that is where brunt of the system will be crossing through. further are north lighter rain will be but anyone fair game for it. by tomorrow we are starting to clear, weekend looks awesome. just very warm but we will keep sunshine, meisha. >> katie, so it is, moving on in. it has been very busy in the world of traffic, this
