sinkhole problem, we have accidents out there, so a lot going on. so i'll get to that in just a moment, but kate when is the rain coming in. >> here is the thing, rounds moving out right now, looks like there will be fresh rounds of showers and storms that reignite later on. so right to the maps, show you what's going on at storm scan at the local level. heavy rain currently very localized across southern new jersey, portions every delaware, heaviest rain obviously into new jersey, right now, but, regardless, even though this is going to taper off, we will see some sun here today, you cannot get too used to the fact that the sun will shine, because eventually fresh rounds of showers and storms reignite. so this is some pretty heavy stuff. we have rainfall rate over an inch per hour currently falling in the areas. so you're getting doused. but there is a break on the horizon, and in addition to this, though, notice how muggy it is when you walk out the door, whether the rain is falling or not, you have dew points flirting with or actually into the 70s here, so really, really moisture rich air mass, and as that translates to the thermometer, base lurks the closer that dew point gets to the air temperature, the more saturated the air mass, so

philadelphia house. >> the sealing collapsed, sending dry wall falling on the floor, and people out of the home. "eyewitness news" reporter jan carabeo live in tioga to show us the damage, jan? >> good morning, almost and i has been out here to the scene and deemed this home uninhabitable, that means four adults, little girl, without a place to stay this morning, fortunately the red cross has already been out here to help, everyone already off to temporary housing. now it is authorities see the damage from the outside, but if you take a look at the video see how the sealing came down inside of this tioga home overnight. the collapse happened around 10:30 last night, here in the 2300 block of west atlantic street. folks who live here tell us last night's heavy rain seeped through the roof and brought the ceiling down. fortunately the four adults inside, including a pregnant woman, and a nine year old little girl were not injured. "eyewitness news" spoke to the building manager of this boarding house, a short time ago, he also lives here, and he says the ceiling came down in his room.

as he left pen presbyterian medical center yesterday. >> jessie hartnett was also present, he was also hit on the job, hit in a ambush attack in january. dorman still has long recovery ahead of him. he says he's ready to get back to work as soon as he can. >> ikea plans to to release more information today about recall of millions of dressers. the mom dress kearse tip over, if they're not fastened to the wall. three children died, including two year old curren of west chester back in 2014. now, last year, ikea distributed repair kit, advising owners to attach the dressers to the wall. but after that, still, the third child sadly died from a falling chest. >> man charged with kill his wife with a crossbow in northeast philadelphia. and the couple had been married for just nine days. police say 40 year old paul

confess today killing 42 year old pamela during argument sunday night. it happened inside their home on 39100 block of willits road. investigators say, he shot her in the chest with a crossbow as she sat in a chair. and she ran to her neighbor's house for help. >> i was more shocked about seeing a body in my kitchen floor, you know, and you can't do nothing about it. >> the victim died at the hospital. both pamela and paul have two children from previous relationships. they weren't home at the time. >> now, former worker at montgomery county private school is behind bars tonight accused of secretariesly assaulting a 13 year old student. forty year old marcus forte faces preliminary hearing next month. he worked in the it department of the again he had mercy academy elementary school. the alleged incident took place behind closed doors at his school office and other encounters at her home. >> donald trump is talking trade this afternoon in a

>> the time is 5:14, alligator site diagnose not stop swim presser enjoying the surround every yesterday in south carolina. >> my goodness, this gator almost 5 feet long, wounds up on the beach after officials say it was swept up from strong current from the cooper river. this is the third alligator spotted on this beach this summer, and authorities say, be careful. >> also, fema will start the process of helping residents in west virginia recover from deadly flooding today. at least 23 people have died, after 9 inches every rain fell in a short periods of time. it is actually being called some of the worse flooding the state has ever seen. more than 400 people are living in shelters, forecasters say more rain on the way this week making clean up effort even harder. >> now, when you see images like these, from green briar county you can under stands why it is taking officials so long to reach those stranded.

entire roadways have been washed away and ruined, some cases the power of the raging water was enough to toss cars around. >> officials in central california warn that a wild fire threat still exists, even in some homeowners get to go home. it is 40% contained, but the flames have killed two people, and have destroyed 200 homes. fire officials say more homes could be vulnerable if the winds blow the fire back to their neighborhoods. parts of texas are drying out from flashflooding, after 3 inches of rain fell in about two hours. not everyone was sad to see the rain, fort worth, person who shot it, says, shortly afterward, the rain stopped, and rainbow appeared. >> rain is awful. every time there is rain here, we miss it. i wake up in the morning, oh, ya, kate did i say t or it happened in delaware, or ya, ya. >> the ground is wet, like oh,

i miss that. >> yes, so clearly happened, yes. we had some rain even last night, too, thankfully at this point it is at least taking a break here in the city, not everywhere, in some spots you do still have pretty soaking rainfall, especially across new jersey, let's take you out first to live look though at the shore, where here in ocean city, you can see, look real closely, still some rain falling here, obviously the wet boards, though, indicative of the fact there has been rain through here, right now ya, it is raining pretty steadily across cape may as well as atlantic county. next to the maps here, storm scan3, heaviest rain falling currently right over the section of new jersey and another little pocket you see that sort of developing right on the tail end of the loop there you go. into sussex county very likely start to fire up for you as the morning progresses, now may look like we're in the clear beyond this point, right? front still needs to nudge through, trigger fresh rounds of showers, possibly stronger thunderstorms yet again sit in

slight risk, that time of year for us, for example, this isn't atypical, but once more solitariesing in our area. this time though it is going to the far northwestern most suburbs, recently, delaware, new jersey, bearing the brunt of the thunderstorms there is time removed further off to the north and west, downpours, gusty winds, certainly lightning. possibly even some small hail as primary threat. if you are taking to the shore here today, again, you are going have some damp sands, some damp boardwalks to traverse here through the course of the morning. water temperatures into the low 70s, really starting to ramp up the warmth in the actual ocean water, meantime temperatures get into the mid 70s. i wouldn't call this the best beach day. you will see some breaks, you will see some sun, but additional showers and thunderstorms are going to fire up, later on today, once the first rounds fires, or get out of here, so uv index little lower today, rip countries being also moderate. looking forward in the forecast though brinking it back to the temperatures we expect in philadelphia for the next seven days, fourth of
