forces with massachusetts senator elizabeth warren. fueling rumors there could be two women on the democratic ticket. we'll have the latest on campaign 2016. today is tuesday, june the 28th, good morning, i'm jim donovan. >> i'm brooke thomas, katie and meisha are here as always this morning keeping an eye on things. >> running around like crazy person. >> and i have not broke answer sweat yet. i'm just not a sweaty person, yes. it has been very busy, little tid-bit about me, but i will say it has been very busy, still the truck fire out there, couple accident, third just cleared, sinkhole, water main break, i'll get to all of it coming up. >> some rain still currently falling, going to catch at least a little bit of late morning break, but generally speaking, you know, this is going to be one of the more unsettled days. heavier rain currently falling specially at the shore points, but the moment, you can see how things are beginning to fizzle lit bit through northern delaware, west to central new jersey, so, you know, things are going to get better at least for time.

we got clock here with real heavy rain through the overnight and again still currently falling across portions every say the garden state parkway, the shore point. but, even though, you look like you're in the clear on the back edge of storm scan3, cannot get used to, that because eventually, we are going to see fresh rounds of showers, storms, reignite. very damp, very dreary beginning to the morning outside beach patrol headquarters in margate, very muggy as well, so going throughout the day, still rebound to the mid 80s, warm, still again quite humid. but even though we catch that break mid to late morning, there will be more showers and storms that reignite later on this afternoon, some of those storms could actually be locally strong. so coming up a little later in the broadcast, we track that next scenario for you, give you sense where the strongest storms could be located, meisha. >> very good to know, thanks so much, katie. good morning, everyone, happy tuesday to you. we got penndot here, kind of zooming in on this trash truck fire. this is route one southbound, hard to see right now, there you go, route one southbound at business route one, that right lane, and the ram top

route one is closed right now, and you can see, they finally got all of those flames under wraps right now, now it is just engulfed in smoke basically. but the good news, when we lock at the traffic around here, just really isn't any. actually it was busier in the four and 5:00 hour, when this actually started. so this has been going on for quite some time. and again, this is a trash truck, so of course it will prolong it inch evident bridge, how long this is engulfed in flames. but the good news, now just the smoke, see some vehicles going by, putting on brakes, little gaper delay. overall hopefully get this cleared up in the near future hopefully in the next 30 minute or so. accident here west mt. airy downed tree as well, lincoln driver, rittenhouse street, lanes block, it will slow you down, also another accident here in new jersey route 130 southbound near fairview street. we have walter main break, lawndale closed, you will have to use alternate, castor avenue will be your best bet. brooke, over to you. >> thanks, meisha, a new this morning, one man dead and another in critical condition after this crash, in

middletown township bucks county. the two cars collided around 11:30 last night at frosty hollow road, upper or char drive levittown. police tell us 06 year old man died from his injuries. investigators say this is a busy stretch of roadment some drivers turn the corner too fast. >> in other news, ceiling collapse clears out home in philadelphia's tioga neighborhood. >> last night's rain may be the culprit. l & i has been there and "eyewitness news" reporter jan carabeo still there right now. jan? >> reporter: brooke, jim, good morning there is has been both frightening and frustrating overnight for the folks who live here, now, l & i has been out on the scene as you mentioned, and already deemed this home uninhabitable. so that means, four adult, one child, now, have to find a new place to stay today. fortunately the red cross already been out here on scene. and is ready to help, and everyone already off to new and temporary housing this morning. now, it is authorities see the damage from the outside, but if you take a look at the video, you can see, how the ceiling came down inside of this tioga home, the collapse

happened around 10:30 last night. here in the 2300 block of west atlantic street. folks who live here tell us last night's heavy rains seeped through the roof, brutal ceiling down, fortunately, the four adults inside including a pregnant woman, and a nine year old little girl were not injured. "eyewitness news" spoke to the building manager of this boarding house just short time ago. he also lives here. and he says the ceiling came down in his room. >> i was just grateful. i wasn't home. then my concern is for the rest of the house. before this happened everything was up to code, landlord on top of everything, he is not a slumlord, everything watts right. this is big inconvenience, just got off work, trying to come home, relax go, to sleep, now i got to go somewhere else. and where i don't know. and, you know, i might be uncomfortable. >> now, again, the red cross is helping the folks who live here find temporary housing, the building manager tells us l & i will be back out here on the scene little later today to re-examine the damage in daylight to figure out exactly

do still have rain falling across southern most new jersey as well as portions every delaware, another little pocket, now, crossing from the delaware rather the lehigh valley into north northwestern new jersey, but generally speaking, it is just a muggy, very cloudy start to the day. where you don't have the rain low 70s currently across most of the board here, as the day goes on, specking for the most part pretty seasonable weather. 84 degrees the expected high in philadelphia. that's just 2 degrees shy of the norm. but, more showers, more thunderstorms, they'll come through scattered in nature, specially northwest of the city, poconos specially talking to you, there will very likely ends up some stronger thunderstorms, that fire up in our area. so do expect that possibility. but looking at the headlines, strong storm potential, at least there is a trade off. mid week turns out less humid, and really nice, and of course we've got the big holiday weekends coming up. not only will it be quite warm, but i'm going to have all of the details what you can expect overhead, that's a bit later in the show, katy? >> thank you so much. happy tuesday, if you are just

"eyewitness news" was on the scene around 10:30 last night the 2300 block of west atlantic street. people who live here say rain seeped through the roof and brought the ceiling down. the red cross is helping five people finds temporary housing. former ikea employee at montgomery county private elementary school in jail accused of sexually assaulting 13 year old girl. police arrested 40 year old marcus forte yesterday. he used to work in the it department at again he had mercy academy elementary school. investigators say forte had illegal encounters with the teenager in his office at the school, and at least once in her own home. feel are concerned over contaminated water in bucks and montgomery county. good morning, justin. brooke, good morning, that's right. those with concerns about drinking water in the willow grove area are encourage today voice those tonight. also hear from a law firm running their own probe into the matter and a special guest. >> celebrity consumer advocate erin will skype at upper moreland hi, law firm will host the session which will likely be similar in some ways to one last night in horsham township where the township council and officials held joint meeting on improving water quality. the issue, high levels of pfc, found in drinking water in the horsham, warrington anwar minister areas. these pfc's are chemicals commonly used in fire fighting foams at airfields. in 2014 found in public wells. over the years, those pfc's are believed to have seeped into grounds water, after decades of use at nearby military outpost cents in bucks and montgomery counties. since, several public and private wells, have come off

line, after testing showed pfc levels exceed new r, instructing federal limit, forcing horsham to now buy water from outside townships, despite the navy and national guard, also providing drinking water, many are asking them and federal officials to do much more. >> and, also, some great risk, great concerns, about health risks, governor wolf is now asking for the military to cover some 70,000 tests for residents in the area, and again, aaron, the consumer advocate, will be skyping in tonight. the meeting september for six p.m. brooke, jim, back into you. >> thanks, justin. pennsylvania lawmakers could beat thursday's deadline for budget for the new fiscal year. later today the house plans to consider $31.6 billion spending plan. last night, the house appropriations committee approved it 36 to one. >> new jersey has same budget deadline governor chris christie is going to 35 billion-dollar spending plan that cleared the democratic controlled legislature. its version $300 million more

than christie's proposal, but the governor can use his line item veto. new jersians could pay more at the gas pump and less at the check out counter. early this morning the assembly passed plan to raise the state gas tax in exchange for lowering the state sales tax. the 23 cents hike will pay for fixing new jersey's roads and highways. the deal also calls for slashing the sales tax from 7% to 6% over the next two years. the senate plans to vote on the measure thursday, governor chris christie is expected to sign it. the post brexit sell-off and stocks continued yesterday. what does that historic vote mean for your bottom line? >> business analyst jill schlessinger joins us live from new york to talk about it, good morning, jill. >> good morning. >> how will brexit affect us here? >> well, the british pound dropped to a 31 year lows against the dollar. and the euro's also falling. so i guess that's great news if you happen to be traveling to london this summer, your

dollars are going to go a lot farther. it also makes your imported fun items like french cheese or italian wine little more affordable. i will say there is a down side. a rising green back is bad for our exporters and our manufacturers, that's because the goods and service that is they produce here and ship overseas, women, less competitive in foreign markets. now, economists are projecting the uk and the rest could fall into lee session, could shave off little bit every growth from our growth rate around 2%, maybe two, three-tents of a %, not too terrible here. >> jill, then there is our investment, i pledge not to look at my 401k statement for quite some time now. so do you expect the guy races in the markets to continue? >> yes, this morning looks like tiny bit of relief. brexit really testing the third longest bull market in history. that's what we're in the middle of right now. i know if you're tell topped sell, here's what you do. remember market time, you just doesn't work. that's because it is
