see showers and then are storms moving through generally speaking biggest risk for us will be strong downpours, heavy rain that could make it to drive out there later tonight but as far as severe weather that is winding down a little bit. lets look at what is happening outside. we will go out to bethlehem and you can see clouds started to roll in there in northampton county. looking overcast. we have been fighting with the cloud cover on and off all day, especially from the city on east, in and out of the cloud, fog around this morning, drizzle, and what that did was stabilize the atmosphere and hard to get these storms to pop when you have, atmospheric stability. you need instability, heat, sunshine, moisture, we have plenty of that to the west. not as much of it over city and nearby suburbs. lets check with the weather watchers and they are showing us temperatures generally in the 80's right now across the region. 48 degrees as we check in with who do we have here, phil, our friend phil in chestnut hill and he send us great pictures showing us the towering cumulus cloud starting to build. you can see upward motion.

5:52 pm
transferring energy to stronger storms down around baltimore area these are falling apart. there is one nasty cell from mount pocono mainly heavy rain with that one and one more that just developed just east of allentown moving into portions of northern new jersey. but rest of us, even though we will see scattered showers and thunderstorms the threat for severe weather likely to be diminishing. the scattered showers and storms, severe weather off to the west, gusty wind, downpours, small hail is possible but i think heavy rain threat is going to be our biggest issues as we go through tonight. lot our water vapor loop. look at how much moisture we have in the air right overtop have of us, dry air sweeping from the north and west and once we get this system out after dew points, peak in the 70's today, tomorrow afternoon we are looking at dew points in the the 50's and lower 60's which will feel better and nicer on thursday. dew points back to the 50's across the region. we have nicer weather on the way and just may take a while to get there. we have to clear this front out, sun breaks through tomorrow and then thursday
