scattered. it is a broken line but they have got enough to work with. we have had sun peak out west of the city this afternoon and that is really fueling these storms as well as high dew points. dew points are in the 70's, heavy rain will be a biggest threat with these storms. they have started to weaken a little bit storms moving through lancaster area but we have a few the scatter cells to watch. one near mount pocono, let's zoom in on that one and you can see very heavy rain with this cell. also over northampton county we are seeing heavy rain and this line pushing east, even though the strongest storms have moved off to the south and we could still see them moving in the city before the evening is through. severe thunderstorm watch for vast majority of the region goes until 10:00 o'clock tonight. i'll have more when they clear out and what to expect for upcoming holiday weekend coming up. for now back over to you. developing right now suicide bombers opened up fire before detonating themselves and turkey's largest airport. the terror attack happened in istanbul and 28 people are dead, more than 60 people hurt.

authorities say three suicide, bombers blew them self up, is the international terminal. so far in one has claim responsibility for the attack. joins us now. buddy was a colorful character. he was the man. so many great things you can say. >> not often you had talent to go with the personality and that is certainly what he had. buddy ryan is one of the most beloved eagles in franchise history a master mind of defense and bold, brash personality that invigorated a city. for more on the football icon we will welcome in alex hoff. alex? >> reporter: done, as you know everyone says the same thing about buddy ryan that if he liked you, you knew it, if you didn't like you, you also knew it. that is attitude that the people of philadelphia can appreciate, one that helped breathe new life in the eagles franchise. >> i used to say to him you're too tough to die, you know, only the good die young, so you and i will live forever and he used to chuckle about that and you know, he just never let any of those injuries get him down. >> reporter: years into a battle with cancer and other health issues buddy ryan was feeling especially ill last

week. it was fathers day weekend so long time agent jim solarno decided to visit him. former players clyde simmons and set joyner went too. >> he was so excited, you know, jim, coming visit me and clyde simmons and seth joyner. he would get up on his walker and a he was a tough guy. >> he passed away at 85, three years older said solarno that was reported due to a clerical error in his career. >> his first job with the jets, sometimes it the is put on piece of paper and stays there even though buddy knew bit, i will not worry bit. >> reporter: in his basement it is a walk down memory lane. >> that is the fog bowl. >> reporter: thinks the poster of the 1986 super bowl where under ryan the chicago bears, overwhelmed and out performed the patriots. >> if you weren't able to hit and bang somebody around you

now to a fast nighting sighting off the coast of the new jersey shore for fisherman. >> "eyewitness news" new jersey reporter, cleve bryan tells us about what came out of the ocean was a big surprise. >> do you see the white. >> it was the thrill of the lifetime for boat load of recreational fisherman when they came face-to-face with the juvenile great white shark. >> it was amazing, really life changing experience. >> reporter: sunday afternoon jennifer shriver and her husband took friend and teenage children out shark fishing. heading from the sea view marina to off shore reeve they came across bait fish about 3 miles off of margate. they dropped their rinds and who should appear? >> it is a shark. >> oh, my goodness. >> reporter: they weren't certain it was great white but since it is protected species they pulled their lines and took out their many contact yas.

>> it was particularly amazing because he was checking us out. he was as interested in us as we were in him. >> reporter: she posted this video on social media and got suggestion to report the video to the massachusetts sharks research program which has a great white data program. they confirmed it is great white and based on the markings one that has never been reported before. they got the right to name it. nineteen year-old aj who first identified it picked the name carlos. >> why carlos. >> i don't know. >> what is his name. >> that was first thing that came out of his mouth. >> reporter: shark experts say there are several thousand great whites off east coast and not unusual to see juvenile close to shore. >> these animals are small, they eat almost exclusively fishing, box fish that live close to the bottom no danger to swimmers. >> reporter: shark experts say if you think you see i agree white shark out of the ocean do exactly what jennifer and her fishing party d don't try to boat it, take good pictures and video, report it and maybe you'll get to name your own great white shark n longport i'm cleve bryan for cbs-3

>> tonight is the night. >> swing back. >> tonight is the night. >> no time like right now. appreciate it, buddy. >> kate joins with us our forecast, watching the skies because things are happening. >> things are rumbling off to the west. it looks as though severe weather is winding down or the veer threat but we have the chance still for locally heavy showers and thunderstorms to move through the area through this evening and into tonight. if it is not a severe storm heavy rain is certainly a possibility with dew points in the 70's, there is a lot of moisture to work w lets look outside and look to our roof cam. we will see cloud but we are looking at blue skies in center city right now. cleared out nicely this afternoon after a glummy first half of the day. we have had pretty heavy rain over portions of extreme south injuries any to delaware, some spots got over 2 inches of rain but in philadelphia in the quite as much last night and this morning and then just cloud, fog, gloom hung on for the day but now it looks beautiful this evening. it is humid out there. take a look what is heading our way.

storm scan three shows this broken line of thunderstorms rumbling in off to our west and you can see these storms weakening a bit, heaviest right now moving in maryland and d.c. and baltimore area but look what is happening to the west. we have one nasty storm, south of mount pocono. another one over portions of north hampton county. then we have another little line off to the west forming behind this first push of storms. can't rule out a stray shower or thunderstorm really at anytime this evening or tonight and this one just south of mount pocono does have have that hook we look for in the severe thunderstorm this could produce strong wind and frequent lightening and very heavy rainfall. future weather shows scattered nature of the storms. it could all come together between 7:00 and 8:00 o'clock locally heavy thunderstorms moving through the city, portions of delaware county into the state of delaware and then eventually dying out. air is so stable down the shore it looks like storms won't get a good foot hold down the shore later this evening. you can see overnight cloud hang on. we will start tomorrow with
