stash of weapons. >> reporter: two teens are facing charges in connection with the shooting, a 15 year-old is charged with involuntary manslaughter, a 17 year-old is charged with reckless endangerment for loading and handling that gun. detectives arrest a 15 year-old in the carjacking of a grand mother in hainesport burlington county. we first showed you the photo of the suspect last week, invest faithors say he slapped the eight two-year old victim across the face in the super market parking lot and then stole her car. some of you recognize the suspect in that photo and called police. detectives arrested him in atlantic city on tuesday. he is now charged with carjacking. new at 6:00 a teenager is facing charges for a crash that killed the robbinsville school superintendent. steven mayer was hit and killed back in april while he was running with his dog. police announced an 18 year-old woman was distract by her cell phone when she hit mayer. she also charged with leaving the scene of the deadly crash.

police are not releasing her name because she was 17 when the crash occur. wilmington police say this man has confessed to sexually assaulting a woman near the brandywine river. we showed you the picture of the suspect yesterday. police say 31 year-old daequan rodriguez admitted attacking woman on south park drive on tuesday morning. the new jersey senate is not likely to vote on raising the state's gas tax until after the july 4th holiday. on tuesday, the assembly approved a plan that would raise gas tax by 23 cents a gallon, in exchange for lowering the sales tax by 1 percent over the next 18 months. monday would i go toward road and bridge repairs. the senate is not on board with the current plan and seeks another way to replenish the transportation trust fund. >> this isn't a competition we are not looking for fight we are looking to come to a solution. we want to unite, not devariety. >> reporter: transportation fun runs out tomorrow but lawmakers says is there enough money to fund law projects for another month.

tropicana is latest casino to avert a strike this july 4th weekend involving members of the atlantic city's main casino workers union. union also reached an agreement with bally's, caesar's and harrah's earlier today. negotiations continue with the trump taj mahal. local 54 of the unite here union says it wants the return of concessions made back when the casinos had shaky finances. new at 6:00 delaware health officials confirmed two new cases of the zika virus both involved men in new castle county and they were both bitten by mosquitoes traveling abroad. that brings total number of cases in delaware to seven, so far no one has gotten zika from a mosquito bite in the united states. also on the healthwatch a new video challenge to help children with brain tumors. >> health reporter stephanie stahl is here to explain the pet connections. >> this is such a mission. remember the ice bucket challenge to help als? well, this one involves people and their pets. it was started by a philadelphia woman who was a

patient herself. >> it is a new video challenge created by jennifer penalt who has three brain tumors. >> i'm not sad about it. i'm doing what i need to do. there is not a lot of awareness for people with brain tumors. >> reporter: jennifer, 43 has brain tumors who are inoperable and it is tremendous pain. >> they call it suicide disease because pain is so severe and so unreal that unfortunately there is a lot of people that took their own lives because of the pain report report she has a hope tattoo and butt are flies hoping better treatments will allow her to fly away from the agony. her paws up challenge is for children with brain tumors. people post videos to raise awareness and money for pediatric brain tumor foundation. >> paws up for three. >> animals love children and children love animals and it wasn't that far to kind of check that out. >> this is a letter from president obama. >> reporter: jennifer, who lives in the northeast has

well, a land battle is heating up in delaware county. >> is there a fierce debate over what to do with hundreds of acres of prime real estate. "eyewitness news" reporter joe holden shows you what is at stake. >> reporter: delaware county officials thursday morning announced acquisition of the little flower manor property, 37 acres bought with grants that will soon be a county park. >> county council will continue to look for ways, to preserve open space in our county. >> reporter: just up the road much higher profile battle is unfolding over land in marple township. >> this township and delaware county has to look at the big picture. we don't need another shopping center. >> reporter: former done until a was so the to be new homes and other businesses. traffic and pollution

systems to watch in the mid with the high pressure overhead starting to exit, stage right and as we zoom down to the south we will just start to see a few showers popping up, lifting from south to north mostly south of the region one stray shower in kent county delaware. this is lifting to the north heading through overnight hours tonight and tomorrow morning. then we have to watch this system which is a pretty nasty storm over iowa and miss sure think evening. here's the setup as we head through tonight, right now we have got this storm to the north with the cold front a attached. we have a stationary system off to the south activating back north as a warm front as we get in the day tomorrow. is there that warm front, we have started the day with clouds and sprinkles here and there everything intensifies in the afternoon this front will eventually come through, sweep this system out to sea. that is good news. bad news when you get a front like this it will be explosive, especially with the humidity that will be in place. strongest storms tomorrow evening and then that front sweeps through saturday high

pressure builds in, nice breeze from the the north and west and humidity drops saturday almost feeling refreshing. even though we are in the mid 80's it will feel different then tomorrow's tropical humidity. best threat for severe thunderstorms stay off to the north in the pocono region but all of our areas under risk for severe weather. greatest threat will be heavy rainfall and that is because of the dew points. watch what happens overnight. dew points in the 50's. the it feels fantastic outside. starting to moisten up, and as we head through offer night hours dew points climbing in the 60's. by tomorrow we have got dew points in the 70's. this is oppressive humidity, lot of moisture, it is like a sponge, things will drop again, dew points back to the 50's over the weekend. just isolated thunder shower this evening, tomorrow, humid, scattered storms at anytime, heaviest in the evening, down the shore as well we will see those showers and thunderstorms, morning and night and monday looking good for most of the day but we have to watch for thunderstorm our shore in the evening and
