the trump taj mahal are going on strike in less than an hour. >> that's after their union failed to reach an agreement with the resort "eyewitness news" reporter jan carabeo live outside the trump taj mahal in atlantic sit which more on what this means for workers and guesses -- guests, jan, good morning. >> joe, brooke, good morning, nearly a thousand workers, those include cooks, bell hops, servers and housekeepers, are expected to walk off the job here at trump taj mahal in atlantic city right around 6:00 this morning. they will be going to strike over better wages, and benefits, and their strike comes as atlantic city heads into the july 4th holiday weekends, among the busiest of the year for casinos here. now, the city's main casino workers union, that's local 54 of united here, says it was unable to reach an agreement with trump taj mahal late last night. taj mahal is the only one of five casinos here that was unable to reach a new deal. on thursday the union struck a deal with bally's, ceasar's, harrah's, tropicana. the taj mahal was opened and

once run by donald trump. but he hasn't been involved with the company since 2009. the taj mahal is now owned by billionaire investors, carl icon, and he kept the taj mahal afloat during its bankruptcy and took over in march. meantime he has repeatedly threatened to take away financial resort, allowed it to close and restore health and pension benefits. the union on the other hand has been trying to recoup some of the give-backs that handed casinos in past negotiations when financial conditions were worse. after four of atlantic city's 12 casinos were shutdown in 2014, the bottom line here, how much, have started to stabilize. now, it is unclear if the taj mahal will have managers work or if temporary workers will be brought in, but we're told by the casino, this will not affect gambling. now, the last time this union, local 54, went on strike was in 2004. they walk off the job then, for more than a month, this strike is expected to start right around 6:00. of course, we will be here to cover it all, but for now live in atlantic city, jan carabeo,

cbs-3, "eyewitness news", brooke, joe, back into you. >> thank you for that live report. this morning, new jersey governor chris christie ordering transportation project in the state be shutdown. that is after the state senate decided to hold off on voting on plan to increase gas tax by 23 sent yesterday. the money from that would have gone toward those project. it is not clear when the senate will vote on the proposal. christie also signed the state's $34.5 billion spending plan late last night just hours before the deadline. >> new this morning, police in lower bucks county say three people were rushed to the hospital after stab wounds, after a fight, make that, at parish carnival. police closed tullytown saint michael after the fight about 10:30 last night, four people taken into custody, eyewitnesses say it was a chaotic scene. >> so, i had a group of kids that were like what do we do? what do we do? i just toll them you hear gunshots, hit the grounds, go down. >> then i saw at least 30, 40 people run to the front of the fair. all of the cops hopped out.

then cops just started saying everybody get out the fair, everybody get out the fair. >> this morning, there is no word on the extent every those victims' injuries, and also no word on what started the fight. >> right now the philadelphia district attorney's offers is investigating after a report that application breathalyzers were used with expired solutions for most of the year. philadelphia police discovered the issue wednesday after a lawyer brought it to their attention, they then took all of the breathalyzers out of service, replaced the solution and put them back into service, the problem a result of human error, did not have effect on breathalyzer readings but defense lawyers may argue the results should be thrown out. district attorney's offers now reviewing case frost january 17th to june 29th. the lawyer who brought this up says he estimates between 500 a thousand cases may be affected. >> attorney general loretta lynch is facing calls to recuse herself from the hillary clinton e-mail investigation following an impromptu meeting with bill clinton in phoenix on monday. >> the chat happened in the

middle of the investigation into clinton's private e-mail server, but hena daniels reports, lynch insists the topic never came up. >> at a facebook event in california thursday, attorney general, lore eight lynch, continued to deflect questions over her private meeting with bill clinton in phoenix. >> i was arriving. he was leaving. he came on to say hello. we spoke about number of things. not much more to it than that. >> the half hour encounter on board lynch's plane came as the nbi nears the ends every it investigation into hillary clinton's use of a private e-mail server during her time as secretary every state. >> he didn't raise anything. >> at least one democrat senator chris coons, says the meeting sent the wrong signal, but republican senator took it a step further. saying, a special council should take over the e-mail investigation. >> he would be such a bad president. >> presumptive republican

nominee donald trump saved his sharpest jabs for clinton herself. >> look at the calls made over the years. she has horrible judgement including the fact she voted for the war in iraq. >> clinton has faced questions about her judgement and trustworthiness, throughout her presidential campaign. but, this week, house committee found no new evidence of wrong-doing, and in her response to the 2012 benghazi attacks. >> i think it is pretty clear, it is time to move on. >> lynch is expected to have the final say over whether she will face any charges for using her private e-mail server. hena daniels, cbs-3, "eyewitness news". >> vice president joe biden says senator bernie sanders will eventually endorse hillary clinton for president, but sanders says not so fast. in a interview with ntr, biden said sanders assured him he would endorse the presumptive democratic presidential nominee. but, sanders would not confirm those comments in a interview yesterday, the vermont senator hillary clinton to back the a jen did a items before he makes an endorse.

it's crunchy! juicy! and oh so tasty. kfc. it's extra crispy good. >> state department officials say the 13 year old girl stabbed to death in israel was u.s. citizen. aerial was stabbed in the bedroom of her west bank home. police say her 19 year old attacker also stabbed a security guard, before he was shot and killed. so far there is no word on motive for the violence.

and a eight year old boy is in critical condition after he was found unresponsive in a pool on board cruise ship off the coast of new jersey. it happened on royal caribbean anthem of the seas. officials say the boy was in the water for at least eight minutes, medics performed cpr as the ship returned to new york city. the boy was air lifted to help in staten island. the family who was from maryland are beside the boy's bedside. >> police investigating shocking crime out of northeastern pennsylvania, a woman is accused of holding another woman captive inside a pottsville apartment for three days. ly says 47 year old holy ann road beat the woman with chairs, fire extinguisher and even a bat until the victim made her run for it tuesday morning and escaped. the woman was naked and battered when she ran into a business pleading for help. >> thank god our big garage door was open, that's the way she came in. and thank god it was, because what if it wouldn't have been, maybe she wouldn't have gotten

dew point are starting to creep up, especially to the south. our dew point at 7 degrees. right now, in dover, indicates humid conditions. and it is going to be a steamy day today. poolside if you are lucky enough to have the day off. already starting the holiday weekend have, to watch out for scatter thunderstorms headed into the afternoon, high temperature at 87 degrees. storm scan3, showing us, we've already had a bit of activity over the last several hours, isolated thunderstorm rolled it way, rainfall totals, elsewhere few more clouds, few clouds starting to roll into the western counties, we will see some sunshine this morning before clouding up specially as we head into the afternoon. another chance that a few showers for the morning hours mainly south and east of the city, and then as we head into the afternoon we will see some scattered storms developing. now, not everyone is going to see storm activity, because it will be scattered in nature. but, of these storms that do develop, later in the day today, they could be a little bit on the stronger, even potentially severe side. we do have a slight risk of severe weather today across much of the delaware valley,

keep an eye on cbsphilly.com for the latest. >> flyers defenseman shane stopped by the folcroft police department yesterday to visit officer christopher dorman, as you'll recall, dorman was shot seven times last friday in the line every duty. he presented him with a jersey and talked about the example dorman set, of course, we want to wish him a good job. >> oh, and you won't believe this, a terrifying ordeal for oklahoma sky diver, and it was caught on camera. his parachute malfunction in the mid-air. fortunately he did survive to tell the story. daniel heardman has been professional sky diver for seven years, he was hired to do a demonstration jump when things took scary turn. the frightening moments were caught on his go pro camera. now his parachute opened, but he got tangled up in the cords. after struggling, daniel activated his reserve chute. >> as soon as i left the plane, everything was going good. and when it was time to open the parachute, i deployed it, it came out just spinning.
