now. yeah, storm already dumped hail, on mount holly and other parts of the burlington county, this afternoon. hi, good evening, i'm ukee washington. i'm jessica dean. we are expecting more downpours, tonight so lets get over to meteorologist kate bill other who is tracking storms, and the weather center, kate. >> these storms are scattered in nature not everyone is seeing nasty weather right now. in fact it is a nice afternoon in much of our area but spots getting slammed by these storms are getting hit very hard especially cumberland and atlantic count business that particular cell right there, also watching these storms that have have just formed and intensified very quickly south and east of baltimore. they could stay on the same trajectory moving into portions of delaware here within the hour. i'm most concerned about this particular cell. i have been showing you this for a while. prompted a flash flood warning in cumberland count that i started to lift north but still raining in vineland. i heard from a follower on twitter tim carti who sent me a photo and i will try to get it on the air in a few

minutes. he said road in vineland are flooded. very dangerous situation for people traveling on 40, 55, places like that. rain is heavy. this storm is now crossing the atlantic city expressway. one of the busiest shore travel day of the year, a lot of folks on that road and we have frequent lightening, heavy flooding rainfall. there have been rotation indicated with this storm. i wouldn't be surprised to hear reports of lots of wind damage with this storm before the night is through. see where it is right now. you can see reports of storm damage. we we have a report of hail slightly larger than pea sized near vei land earlier this evening and we have numerous warnings attached to that storm. severe thunderstorm warning for atlantic county until 6:15. flash flood warning with over 3 inches, radar indicated from that cell, that goes until 8:45 tonight. and we're in the done with the showers and storms at least until 11:00 or midnight when it finally clears out. coming up i'll time out storms exit and tell you about nicer weather that awaits for start

battleship new jersey, big j is hosting viewing party from the ship's deck. to find fire works show in your neighborhood and other fourth of july festivities head to cbs philly.com right on our home page. it never has happened before an argument forced shut down of the popular carnival in bucks county. what happened next ended with several people stabbed across the street from fun and games. "eyewitness news" reporter greg argos is live in tulleytown with the details new, greg. this incident began around closing, 10:30 according to police. carnival tonight has just opened for the evening and there are plenty of security personnel to make sure everyone here remains safe. the famous michael dearc angelo carnival has been a stapel for more than six decade. >> fun place to come to enjoy with your children, is there fun and good food. >> reporter: thursday night after an argument broke out on the fair ground police closed the event around 10:30 and

crowd migrate add cross the street to the wal-mart parking lot. that is where a fight broke out, three people were stabbed, and four others arrested. >> sixty-three years that the carnival has existed this is first time they are recommending anything like this anyone injured we're very sorry for that and we pray and hope they will recover. >> reporter: police say those injured will be okay and the father and pastor of the church says he hopes this incident does not hamper attendance at the fair. >> i do a lot of praying. i'm hoping not. i hope that does not happen because what that would do is taking a way some of the extras that we could possibly give to certain children. >> reporter: every cents of the profit from the annual fair. >> every single penny. >> reporter: goes towards off setting tuition costs for low few wigs families in the area. >> in some cases tuition is pick up by carnival. >> reporter: he believes this is an isolated incident which happened outside of the carnival ground, he is still taking additional precautions

to assure the final two weeks continue without any other issues. >> we're going to increase the number of security volunteers, which we have on the property, and police are going to introduce other police measures, one of them is they will introduce other police men who will be on the property, plainclothes as well as uniformed police. >> reporter: in total parish officials say the carnival brings in $200,000 a year in profit and once again that all goes towards tuition assistance. we're live from tulleytown, i'm greg argos for cbs-3 "eyewitness news". a new twist in bill cosby's sex assault case, cosby's lawyers asked a judge to force andrea constand to give back money cosby gave her to settle a lawsuit. constand accused cosby of drugging and sexually assaulting her in 2004. now cosby says constand violated their confidential agreement by speaking to police about the case. cosby's due back in the

montgomery county courtroom next week to try to get criminal charges thrown out. new at 6:00 police in radnor township arrest a 31 year-old man for allegedly groping a woman while she was getting a manicure. jamie is charged with indecent assault. police say he inappropriately touched a woman giving her a back massage at blooming nails salon on lancaster avenue. he works at the salon. police are asking for any other possible victims to come forward. union workers at trump taj mahal in atlantic city walk off the job and on to the picket line. striking workers gathered on the boardwalk today calling for better benefit and wages. local 54 union representing almost 1,000 cooks, food servicer and housekeepers at the taj mahal. resort management says that they are negotiating in good faith including increasing contributions towards employee health insurance. new at 6:00 hillary

we are continuing to keep an eye on storm scan three as heavy downpours rolled through the area right now, kate is tracking these storms and will have more in a few minutes. but first count down is on to the tell i can national convention we are just 24 days away from the start of the convention here in philadelphia hillary clinton announced she's bringing her campaign to atlantic city next wednesday. presumptive democratic nominee said she will make case of rival donald trump and highlight issue destruction his business dealings caused in the sea side town. clinton brings her campaign back to pennsylvania next friday. clinton and vice-president biden will rally supporters in his hometown of scranton where she also has family ties. meantime, trump delivered a speech in denver this afternoon. three day conference calls itself the largest gathering

of conservatives outside of washington. fighting terrorism was a big component of the presumptive republican nominee's speech. he called clinton weak on national security. local girl is punching through barriers. >> future of women's boxing could be in her hand, as "eyewitness news" reporter rahel solomon shows us if you go toe to toe with this eight year-old, you just might lose. >> reporter: at eight years young, briere mathis of camden, new jersey is used to standing out. young boxer was youngest in her ridiculously fit boxing camp that just wrapped up, she was only girl and her instructor says that she was also the best. >> at first, they thought that she was just a regular girly girl kid, but as camp three, they all knew that briere will be head of the pack like we have to keep up with her. >> reporter: her strategy is easier said than done she's quick on her feet. >> i'm the fastest.

>> reporter: she's strong. >> always the first, push-ups, all on point. >> reporter: because a lot of love for the sport. her instructors eric felder has been boxing most of his life and working with young athletes for eight years. he said he has never seen anyone quite like bri. >> i don't run across a girl with that much passion, athletism and that heart, drive to work hard. little older, not at eight years old. she's definitely one of a kind. >> reporter: stand out in a sport some say struggles to be seen. some in industry claim recognition, respect of the sport is still lacking, although female boxing dates back to the 1700's the sport wasn't included in the olympics until 2012, and meantime for bri she's not thinking professionally just yet, but when she gets in the ring she has one focus. >> how to beat them. >> reporter: under the watchful eyes of past boxing legend, both real and seemingly real this possible future boxer is in good

unlike sixers, flyers do not have a lot to spend on the free agent market but gm ron hextall did sign one players that are boyg gordon who played last season with arizona and they added dale weeze who played for montreal last season have. it is a four year deal worth 9.4 million a season. he had 14 goals with montreal and said to be a fiery player. we like passion. >> we do. >> you cannot become a pistons fan she loves ish smith. >> yes. >> mother nature does not care about the holiday weekend but she has got some stuff going on. >> mother nature did not say atlantic city expressway is pack, let me give those folks a break. people sitting on the atlantic city expressway are getting dumped on, very heavy rain, this particular cell, has a history of producing flash flooding, we have numerous water rescues over cumberland county mainly around vineland area and these storms are not letting up just yet.

for city ape points north and west worst seems to have come to the even. we cannot rule out another stray shower or storm most has moved east. good news for phillies ballgame goers and fire works tonight but to the south and east you've got some problems. we will start off with a look outside our go pro cam here at the cbs broadcast center looking live out toward city and well, it is looking brighter then it was a little bit ago. we have had ominous cloud and those have push to the south and east. if you are looking toward new jersey you're seeing dark cloud. looking back west toward western suburbs then things look nicer. you can see cumulus included off to the east i should say. storm scan three here's what we are dealing with right now. you can see worst of this is off to the south and east, the strongest cell is over atlantic county and extend right back in cumberland county as well. still some rain coming down. look at the lightening right over atlantic city expressway, dangerous frequent cloud to ground lightening as well as

likely flooding or ponding on the road there. very dangerous travel for folks down the shore. if you know anyone tell them to pull off to the side before they see this storm moving out because this is a dangerous system. severe thunderstorm watch until 10:00 o'clock tonight the severe thunderstorm warnings have just expired but we are under a flash flood warning for much of the cumberland county, vineland on south through millville, commercial back toward cedarville. we heard from a twitter viewer watcher who said his rain gauge has over 5 inches reported near vineland area here's doppler estimated rainfall totals, anything in it or range shading there is over 3 inches of rain, millville at airport reported three and a half inches of rain in less than three hours. when we get that much rain and that amount of the time we will lead to threat for flooding, roads flooded please be safe. folks cut through here to get down to cape may county, low lying areas, farmland and look at this photo from our

driving around new jersey this weekend don't expect to see many construction workers. governor chris christie has ordered most road work in the state to stop by tomorrow night. that is because the state's transportation trust fund is nearly out of money. governor reached a deal with the state assembly to raise gas tax by 23 sent per gallon in exchange for cutting the sales tax. but the state senate put the brakes on the gas tax hike without extra money for the transportation fund, all those road projects will stop at first of august. we will be

just in time for fourth of july holiday treats blueberries are ripe for the picking. blueberry season in south jersey. >> vittoria woodill ventured out over to the farmers market in mullica to pick some for herself. torey, you used a interesting technique for finding the best ones. >> that is right we have a few tips for finding the best blueberries i won't tell you right now but i will tell you we are live in mullica, new jersey, in new jersey, the garden state you can see why it is blueberry season. we are at mood's farm. it is most incredible place to have fun with the whole family and celebrate the best season, blue bring season. check it out. >> i end up eating them all. >> reporter: they are irresistible, summer is ripe
