flooding across the region. off the job as tourist walk the boards this holiday weekend casino workers will walk the picket line. >> and a piece of history how local man got his hands on one of most important documents in the world. but we begin tonight with a stormy start to the fourth of july holiday. good evening everyone, i'm ukee washington. >> good evening, i'm jessica dean. the storms pack punch bringing heavy rain and strong winds. decent sized hail also fell p parts of the region burlington county getting hit pretty hard. this video from robert, shows hail following in mt. holly. heavy downpours led to flooding in vineland cumberland county roads turned into streams and caused treacherous conditions for drivers. by nightfall the flooding ling linger. chopper three over the sears parking lot at corner of delsea drive and landis avenue. you can see a couple of vehicles there stranded in the water. meteorologist kate bilo was busy tonight tracking these storms and she joins us now with what it looks like right now. kate jessica and ukee, the bad

news we're not completely out of the woods yet. got news we don't have any more watches or warnings in effect. flash flood warning has been loud to expire. the severe thunderstorm has compared as well but the actual cold front associated with this advancing storm has yet to come through. you can see it right here. with storms that have fired up just poised to move through the row john the lee his valley and berks county going to get pretty intense storms here in the next 20 minutes or so and eventually some of these showers and storms may make it into the philadelphia area we're still dealing with wet weather in portions of delaware and more showers and storms could move in as we go through the overnight hours. at least the next couple of hours or so on alert for these showers and thunderstorm. here's the storm that formed earlier today. kept oncoming over portions of cumberland and atlantic counties and take look at some of these rainfall estimates. doppler estimate he had rainfall you see the pink there that's over 5-inches of rain we did have train spotter that measured fief .5-inches of rain near vineland, new jersey, in 90 minutes. that's why you had the definite estating flash flooding throughout the vineland area throughout much of the

cumberland county into lap county. good those flood waters are receding. humidity will drop once we get the storm through overnight and we've got better news for most of the holiday weekend. still the chance for wet weather. i'll tell when you coming up ukee, back over to you. >> kate, see you then, thank you. now tonight at least one person is dead after a crash on the garden state parkway. a van carrying 14 people flipped over around 7:00 p.m. in home many dale township monmouth county. state police confirm one fatality and say other people suffered injuries. a woman who is friends with the people in the van says she thinks a tire popped right before the crash. all northbound lanes of the parkway were closed for awhile but traffic is moving now again. the jersey shore of course is a popular destination for the july 4th holiday week but not everybody is having a good time down there. union workers at the trauma many taj mahal are walking the pick lines over a contract dispute. natasha brown is in atlantic city on what's keeping both sides apart.

>> reporter: hours a after hitting the picket line friday morning positive tal will the workers at the taj mahal casino continue to demand better benefits and wages in the post visible and vo today point way possible. unite here local 54 represents about a thousand cooks, food servers and house keepers at the taj. when the casino will he fused a labor contract similar to other agreements reached with casinos hundreds of workers saw no other option than to strike on one of the busiest holidays of the summer season. >> we working without any benefits. no insurance, no nothing does all the other cassone notice have offered fare cracks and this is the one who refuses to offer that contract. we'll fight until they do. >> workers want health and retirement benefits restored. casino officials say they are negotiating in good faith but say quote the employees of the taj bargaining committee seem hell bent on trying to close the property. they are hurting their own and everybody else during the busiest time of the year ". meantime, beach goers

head to cbsphilly.com run down is on our home page. fireworks are key part of july 4th celebrations but in pennsylvania residents are prohibited from purchasing consumer firework without a permit. philadelphia fire department says novelty items like sparklers are legal but they can also be dangerous. instead they suggest taking in a show conducted by professionals to get your fireworks fix. >> we want everybody to enjoy a safe and happy fourth of july and to do that again the fireworks to the pros, ensure that you're grilling safely do all the other safe things. wear a bike helmet, be careful around water and everything else that we ask you to 24/7365. >> if you have pets think about them when it comes to firework kearse. loud noises should be frighte frightening to pets. keep them in a quiet place. >> funeral service scheduled tomorrow for sani holmes the four-year-old girl who died last week after accidentally shooting herself in the face.

tonight many mourning the child's death and stuffed animals to the memorial outside of her north 20 and street home. this morning students, teachers and parents released balloons in her memory during a graduation ceremony at her daycare. the child's mother and her mother's boyfriend are both facing charges in connection with her death. a popular church carnival stepping up security after several people were stabbed across the street from the rides and games. video shows dozens of people leaving saint michael's of the arc angels carnival in tullytown, bucks county, last night. police shut it down after an argument started then minutes later across street at a wal*mart parking lot a fight broke out and three teenagers were establish. the church's pastor says his thoughts are with those injured. >> the 63 years of the carnival existed this is the first time that we've ever had anything like this. we're going to increase the number of security volunteers which we have on the property as the police are going to introduce other police measure.

>> the carnival runs for two more weeks. tullytown police say they made four arrests and the injuries are not life threatening. police in radnor township arrest a 31-year-old man for allegedly groping a woman as she was getting a manicure. jamie she copy charged with indecent assault. inappropriately touch the woman while giving her back massage at the blooming nail salon on lancaster avenue. he work at that salon. police are acting for any other possible victims to come forwa forward. so many at a releases the out come of an internal investigation involving one of their officers and another man. citizen forwarded this video to officers. the confrontation happened on june 4th at frankford transportation center. septa police chief says the officer was wearing a body camera during that incident but it did not capture what barlow did that initially drew the officer's attention. officer was disciplined for

violating departmental policy. the chief says barlow received a citation. >> there are reports of gunshots and explosions at security forces move to end the more than 11 hour hostage situation in bangladesh. as many as nine gunmen stormed a bakery in the capital taking at least 35 hostages. investigators say the attackers killed two police officers at least 26 others were wounded in a gun battle between the gunman and security forces. this is happening not far from the us embassy. the state department says all americans working for the us mission in the town are safe and counted for -- accounted for. isis has claim responsibility. >> investigators in turkey detained 13 people in connection with tuesday's airport terror tack. three suicide bombers killed 44 people at the main airport in istanbul. u.s. official says an isis commander from chechnya organized the massacre. some are accuse the turkish government of not doing enough to stop foreign fighters from passing through its territory

and then joining isis in syria. bill cosby's attorneys are bringing a new argument into the courtroom and the actors sex assault case they've asked a judge to force andrea constand to give back the money cosby gave her to settle a lawsuit. con stand accused cosby of drugging and sexually assaulting her in 2004. now, cosby says she violated their confidential agreement by speaking to police about the case. cosby is due back in a montgomery county courtroom next week to try to get the criminal charges thrown out. governor tom wolf has set a date for special election to fill former congressman chaka fattah's seat that vote will happen on election day notify eighth. the winner holds the position until the start of the new term in january. voters will also select fattah's permanent replacement on that day. the congressman resign last week after his conviction on federal corruption charges. hillary clinton announced tonight she's bringing her campaign to atlantic city next wednesday. the presumptive democratic

nominee says she will make the case against rival donald trump and highlight quote destruction, his business dealings caused in the seaside town. clinton brings her campaign back to pennsylvania next fry. clinton and vice-president biden will rally supporters in his hometown of scranton. >> donald trump delivered a speech in denver this afternoon. three-day conference calls itself the largest gathering of conservatives outside of white house. fighting terrorism was big component of the republican nominee's speech. called clinton weak on national security. the countdown to the democratic national convention continues. we're 24 days away from the start of the convention right here in philadelphia. say tee at the airport is a top concern ahead of dnc. today delaware senator tom carper toured philadelphia international airport to see tsa workers in act. senator carper is the top democrat on the senate committee on homeland security and

independence through july 4th bucks county man insists he has rare copy of the famed document. he gave our david spunt an exclusive look. >> reporter: overlooking the same waters george washington crossed op christmas 1776 bucks county collector tom lick ken feathery next on 240 years of america. he isn't like any tourist just checking out history. he has with him a piece of history his baby. he is certain it's a rare original copy of the declaration of independence. >> i think next to the bible it's probably considered the most sacred document in the world. >> he says he first found the copy at a ninety three mark more than 20 years ago he spent $100 on the interesting looking piece then stored it away for more than decade. not realizing exactly what he had. >> one day i finally found some information about an static print. >> you can probably find a copy of the declaration of independence at any historical

>> wow. happy birthday america. >> that will get you in the mood for the fourth of july. >> indeed. >> the weekend is looking good any way, right. >> the week send looking beautiful. saturday, sunday and i'm hopeful about fourth of july monday. showers will try to creep in and spoil firework displace i'm hopeful they stay to the south and west for the most part. >> good. >> we're star to go clear thing out after very busy storm day today. still have a few storms on the radar right now. through the early part of tonight, through the overnight hours the next couple of hours or so can't rule out still a shower or thunderstorm and then well clear thing out, temperatures drop, humidity drops it is going to be beautiful saturday kind of a reward forgetting through today. here's a look outside right now. storm scan3 shows storms rumbling through this is the actual cold front passage coming through tonight so it's kind of a secondary round of storms. everything we saw today was out ahead of the actual front now we've got the cold front moving through and it is starting to fire up some thunderstorm especially areas that didn't see much earlier today where it's stelle warm and very humid

outside. berks county we're seeing storms begin to form. so again we're not out of the woods just yet. skies are clear in philadelphia. we cleared it out for the most part down the shore. seeing rain in the delaware beaches and these storms could move over 92 delaware as well tonight but notice two storms one over portions of lehigh county. one moving into berks county at the moment. and we do have a few more hiring up towards harrisburg. we have the risk for steady downpours as the showers and storms come through through the next hour or two and they'll start to fizzle out then we can start the good stuff. live neighbor network locations are reporting temperatures near 70 degrees. take look at vineland, vineland high school north our location there, they're rain gauge picked up over 4-inches of rain today that was the hardest hit area. flash flooding over cumberland and atlantic counties, cape may courthouse .7. pomona got about half an inch and at the cape may county airport we got .29-inches today. dew points still in the 70s right now. it's still very steamy at least

until that cold front comes through. showed where you that front was with the showers and storms. watch what happens tomorrow after that front sweeps through. watch the dew points. dew points in the 70's which puts us in oppressive range to do you points in the 40s and low 50s. that puts us in the awesome range. tomorrow we've got a breeze from the north and west. it is going to feel so nice outside tomorrow. breezy, comfortable, not too hot, into the too and once these storms come through tonight you can see tomorrow we've got clear skies all across the board from start to finish tomorrow for my money is a perfect summer day. if you like eight few degrees warmer you'll love sunday as well the front stalls to the south but clouds should stay off to our south through the day sunday. here's monday this is what wove got to watch. notice the clouds try to creep in. this is pretty optimistic this actual model run here 2:00 p.m. still seeing sun from the city on north. showers are still off to the west and they may stay off to the west through the rest of the day monday. that would be the best case scenario can't rule out shower but i think most of the day is okay. overnight thunderstorms early
