why vendors say they can't be on the streets in philadelphia. no charges recommended in hillary clinton's e-mail scand scandal. tonight donald trump weighs in from the campaign trail. but first tonight commuter chaos on septa's regional rail. crowded platforms, pack trains, and the transit authority warns it could get worse. good evening everyone i'm jessica dean. >> i'm nicole brewer. ukee has the night off. septa regional rail is running with one third less of its fleet because of a structural problem. >> "eyewitness news" reporter david spunt has been following this story season life outside septa headquarters with more on what computers are facing and how they're dealing with this rough ride. david? >> reporter: such a frustrating day for those septa commuters, but the head of septa predicts that tomorrow will actually be a bigger problem. rush hour just a few hours ago packed more than usual. and you better believe that commuters noticed. >> they were ill prepared. there was no excuse for this. >> reporter: septa pulled 120

silver liner five cars on friday after an employee discovered a leaning train. officials found small cracks on beams in 115 of the cars. >> as long as our safety is being considered i think that's the most important thing. >> reporter: there's no question the reduced service is an inconvenience. >> the impact is so immense that i hope that this was something that they thought of long and hard about and it wasn't just a last minute decision. >> reporter: septa officials held the third news conference in three days to address the issues. >> we're moving very very quickly and focusing on our customers and getting the silver liner five cars back in service. >> reporter: tears eat ya'll laser beams currently being repaired. "eyewitness news" has learned the 120 silver liner five cars built at this hyundai rotem facility in south philadelphia. late tuesday, the transportation workers union local 234 released a statement accusing septa officials of knowing about the issues for at least a month.

customers much head on to cbsphilly.com. new to note, a septa bus driver and passenger are recovering after being maced by a woman in olney. police tell us the driver stopped the bus at fifth street and west olney avenue to help a passenger in a wheelchair get on to the bus. that's when they say a woman who thought the bus passed her earlier got on the board and maced that driver and passenger in the wheelchair. she ran away but officers caught her a few minutes later and placed her under arrest. >> after an he can tense seive investigation f bitch says charges should not be filed against former secretary of state hillary clinton for her use of a personal e-mail server. but investigators stopped short of giving her the all clear. >> ♪ >> with president obama by her side, hillary clinton smiled and waived at a campaign rally tuesday. just moments after the fbi announcing it would not recommend charges against the former secretary of state following a high profile e-mail probe. >> although there is evidence of

of the trucks stored in usa commisary. damage to the building a home base for more than 30 city food truck was extensive. smear and bagels trucks was one of a half dozen declared a total loss. >> these are 30 small businesses, um, many of which were in their first couple of months, maybe first year. it's a devastating blow again overnight. >> reporter: other vendors trucks were spared they can't operate without a certified working commisary. >> we basically are at a stand till right now. this was our our first week here. when the fire happened. so we basically lost everything. >> this entire kitchen was covered in black soot. tripped the whole thing down, power washed everything. >> reporter: his employees have cleaned up much of the mess but his landlords are delaying making necessary repairs to the electrical system and exhaust fans on the roof in the month long wait so far one truck has gone out of business. >> abdul haleem me who owns

down on the 1600 block of cecil b. moore last month then proceeded to punch and kick him in the head. the man told police the suspects took his wallets and cell phones. all of the suspects are teenagers. authorities in camden, new jersey, are concerned they may have an arsonist on their hands. there were 14 fires in the city over the weekend involving a ban donned or vacant properties. investigators say they were all started in broad daylight and they're asking residents to keep an eye out for anyone scene hanging around vacant properti properties. >> thinking back maybe you saw someone in an alley behind a vacant that didn't belong there and you have even a vague description would be more than what we have at this point. >> one resident and seven firefighters were hurt as a result of those fires. they all suffered minor injuries from smoke inhalation and heat exhaustion. union workers at a atlantic city's trauma much at a mal walked off the job five days ago and there are no signs the strike will come to an end any

just like in parts of our area last night, the weather in d.c. was less than ideal for firewo firework. overcast and misty skies made it difficult to see the display fully so producers of the capitol fourth decid decided ton archive video of fireworks from a clear night. viewers figure it out and were quick to call them out. now at first show producers tweeted "we showed combination of the best fireworks from this year and previous years. it was the patriotic thing to do. a few hours later they apologized for any confusion it caused. nasa's juno spacecraft is now jupiter's orbit poised to begin transmitting close up views of the planet. geo traveled near -- juno traveled five years to reach the fifth planet over the next i wasn't eight months the spacecraft will draw juno's gravity and magnetic fields.

nasa's desire to study jupiter will help us understand more about how solar systems form, how gas giant places like jupiter form and we'll also help us to understand better how planets form orbiting other stars. scientists say this mission will unlock many of jupiter's secrets. juno will stay in orbit until february of 2018 at that point nasa will crash the spacecraft in jupiter. young man's of the social media platform snap chat may not like to hear this. but the app is getting more popular with adults. sorry. a new survey finds 38% of mobile users between the ages of 25 and 34 use snap chat at least once during the month of may. now that's double the percentage from less than two years ago. there's also a 5% increase in users over the age of 35. now experts say the increase in adult users has not made the app less popular with its core user base.

is still warm. temperatures still in the 80s. storm scan3 shows clear conditions. a few clouds over portions of delaware and as we widen out not much more to talk about until this approaches and that won't be until the weekend looking at a nice warm stretch but the humidity going to make it feel pretty unbearable at the heist of the afternoon tomorrow, thursday and friday. temperatures right now still in the 80s. 82 right now in philadelphia. 80 in wilmington. 75 degrees in allentown but dew points are near 70. and that's where they'll be tomorrow as well so the hottest part of the day 11am to 6:00 p.m. heat advisory has been issued for philadelphia and 94 by suburbs including new castle county, delaware, for heat index values around 100 degrees so we're talking about temperatures in the low to mid 90s but this time of the year you have to factor in the dew point with dew points in the 70s the heat index will be near 100 for the next several days. drink plenty of water. when you have to work outside try to make plenty of precautions, find some shade,

find a way to cool off and take frequent breaks if you have to work outdoors. heat index values tomorrow morning we wake up it will feel like the 80s. by 6:00 o'clock tomorrow evening, it feels like the upper 90s in many spots and again on thursday, take look at that. 2:00 p.m. thursday feeling like the triple digits. he is specially from the city on south and excessive heat wage watch issued for thursday into friday. that could turn noon an excess tiff heat warning or advisory as we get closer to those days. thursday does bring our next chance for thunderstorms as well. just a few scattered showers mainly to the west tomorrow but thursday a few heavy thunderstorms a lot of rain they've got a lot of moisture to work with that could slow down the commute on thursday. overnight partly cloudy muggy at story degrees. tomorrow 94 that would make it the hottest day of the season so far. it will feel closer to 97 ornate in the afternoon nurse 94 feeling like 100 the thunderstorms roll in. friday very hot and steamy again and the trend continues i'll sound like a broken record. fare warning for the rest of the week into the weekend.
