started firing shots at a minivan. they ran from the scene and teen realized she had been shot. she was taken to st. christopher's hospital where she was treated and released. police are still searching for the shooter. there is new surveillance video of the man wanted for trying to abduct two women in newark, delaware. you can see man walking outside main towers on main street early monday morning. police say he tried to grab a woman there as she got out of her car. few hours earlier another woman said she was attack around the corner outside colonial gardens. both for the back and escaped. epa and vineland fire and health department are concerned about a potential ammonia leak at a refridge rating facility. coordinating plans to remove 12,000-pound of lick filed ammonia from the refrigeration system at south jersey ice and cold storage. a moan crazy toxic gas which can cause irritation to eyes, skin, lungs and more. residents will have to be relocated during the clean up process which begins this weekend.

live neighborhood network looking towards ocean. really nicetown the shore. it is steamy but showers and storms missed us to the north ape east. you can see them here showers and thunderstorms that rolled through new jersey earlier today, now they are off the coast, and everything is looking good outside, for the moment, but we do still have showers and storms to contend with later this week and into the weekend as our next front moves from the north plains. heading through overnight hours we will remain under that excessive heat warning and overnight temperatures in the 70's. it will feel like 90's. heat index values again tomorrow near 100 degrees. once again that excessive heat warning in effect for the a area here's what it feels like. you can see why that warning is in effect. dover feeling like 100 tane degrees, feels like 59 in philadelphia a. feels like 97 in atlantic city. that is a few miles inland at the airport and pamona does not feel quite as sweltering on the beach. ninety-six is how it feels in wildwood. future weather does show showers and storms mainly moving off the coast.

breaking news right now, crews are searching for a missing teenager in the delaware river in the fishtown. authorities say a 16 year-old jumped in the river, around 45 minutes ago and did not resurface. and the philadelphia marine unit and fire department are there on the scene. we will, of course, continue to stay on top of this breaking news story, as we get more details. right now lets turn to the forecast with kate and talk about this heat that we are having. >> dangerous things can happen, when you find ways to always make sure you are safe on days like today, swim in places where there is somebody watching you, that is something that you have to remember and follow the rules on the splash ground and fountains as well. definitely find a way to beat the heat through rest of tonight and tomorrow as well.

we are really, in the middle of this heat wave right now. been about two days, we have got two more days to go and tomorrow looks like it could be just as uncomfortable as today. lets look at what is happening right now, lets go out to bethlehem and see beautiful cloud, blue skies, everything looking good right now but it looks good until you step outside. when you open up the door it feels like walking in the furnace, very, very hot conditions. now it is not anything we're not used to here in philadelphia this time of the year but can be dangerous for anyone does not take proper precautionness this heat, even if you don't feel like you need it, drink the water if you have to be outside for an extended period. try to take breaks, find big shade trees you see in bethlehem and cool off there or head down the shore. live neighborhood network in margate showing active beach day, you can still see folks on the beach and, that chilly ocean water that may not feel quite as chilly after sitting on the hot humid sand for a while. humid even down the shore but not quite as hot in the city.

six hour loop shows storms that did form off to the east today. showers, thunderstorms lifting out of here over long island, into coastal new england. our region has cleared out but not for long, we are going to see another repeat performance of showers and storms as we get into tomorrow and this front way back here by minnesota as i put my clicker here, by seeking the northern plains. that is heading our way, as we head into saturday. saturday will finally be a changing day, transition day as those showers and storms move through and dryer air creeps in as well. you can see difference where that front is, notice how cool it is, areas that have got rain this afternoon. we are at 92 in philadelphia. eighty-eight in allentown. ninety in trenton. as we zoom back toward midwest it is cooler. eighty-two in minneapolis. eighty-three in chicago. and some of that milder, not quite so hot air will be moving in as we get into the

weekend especially part two of the weekend. before we look the at our future heat index values let look at our eyewitness weather watchers. they are showing some photos that don't seem to be showing up so well. lets go out to future heat up decks values. we are looking at temperatures in the 90's, tomorrow morning temperatures in the 70's but it will feel like 80's. 7:00 in the morning we are looking at heat up decks of 83. seventy-eight in millville at 8:00 in the morning. look at that friday afternoon, 2:00 p.m. it is going to feel like 98 degrees, once again here in philadelphia. ninety-seven is what it will feel like in wilmington, millville. another sweltering afternoon. even on saturday by afternoon we are seeing heat index values still creeping in the mid to upper 90's, still not a break from the heat but saturday is that transition day as showers and storms creep in and that will bring about changes. future weather showing spotty showers moving through generally staying away today but tomorrow they will pop up, scattered at best, mostly not
