"eyewitness news" reporter jan carabeo live in glennside, where the first train to philly was supposed to leave few minutes ago, jan, what's happening? >> reporter: brooke, jim, good morning, septa is promising bit of relief poor regional

rail rider today. they have added 1700 seat, thanks to leasing agreement with other transit agencies. first side left this glennside station, downed for center city on time at 4:22 this morning, but it is not this part of the commute that has seen problems. it is the morning rush. that really picks up around 6:00. soap, we'll have to see how the morning commute develops little later. but starting today, septa regional rail is operating an interim weekday schedule. septa is adding trains and stops and departure times just as lightly, as well. changes will possible through lease agreement with amtrak, nj transit, mark and maryland. septa has access to three additional locomotives, 18 more passenger cars. added capacity will hopefully provide relief to riders who have been frustrated for about a week now dealing with crowded coors, delays, bypassing trains, septa is still figuring out how to bring 120 side line silver line rail cars back to service. they've been taken off because

of structural defect. with them, about 13,000 seat on regional rails. while most ride remembers happy septa caught the problem before something serious happened, many say the issue has been more than a little inconvenience. >> they caught this before anything serious happened to anyone, and that of course is the good part about it. it would have been nice if they checked the trains regularly and discovered this little sool err, but at least nothing happened. >> i have to get up at 5:00 a.m. every morning, i am a walking zombie. >> now, septa is urging riders to check the new schedule frequently, because it could change and of course we have a link for you for every change on every line on cbsphilly.com. for now, reporting live at the glennside station, jan carabeo, cbs-3, "eyewitness news", brooke, jim, back into you. >> thanks, jan. >> new this morning, philadelphia fire fight is her hurt in a overnight house fire. >> fire happened in the 5300 block of west berk street, in overbrook, just before 1:15

have morning, firefighter quickly got it under control. one was taken to the hospital, luckily, with non-life threatening injuries. no word yet on what caused the fire. >> city hall will be the backdrop from protest this morning, over deadly police shootings. it is sponsored by predominantly white group called showing up for racial justice. it will start at 8:00 a.m. >> last night, demonstrations continued in philadelphia, over the police involved killings of two black men in louisianna and minnesota. dozens march from 40th and market, in west philadelphia, to penn's landing. "eyewitness news" caught up with them near 24th and market in center city, that protest was peaceful. >> in baton rouge, demonstrator toss add trash can at approaching swat teams, as protests continued over the fatal police shooting of alton sterling. police arrested up to 40 people in a unscheduled protest late last night. police have made over 100 arrests there since friday. >> president obama will travel

to texas tomorrow to visit with the victims of the dallas police massacre. this is new video of the president arriving at joint base in maryland, cut his european trip short. meanwhile investigators are pouring over more evidence in the home of shooter micah johnson there is includes his journal. dallas police chief calls them ramblings. also, why he scrawled rb in blood before killed. they believe he was planning an even larger attack. >> civilian victim shot during the massacre cried sunday as she thanked dallas police. taylor was at the black lives matter protest with her sons when the shootings started. >> i saw another officer -- i saw another officer get shot. >> taylor said she will continue supporting the black lives matter movement and she wants to see the police and
