lets get ready for meteorologist kate bilo in the weather center with the very latest, kate. >> as you saw down the shore, it is nice enough to take a dip in the ocean but that is not the case for every part of our region. delaware beaches getting hit harder with rain at the moment and portions of southwestern sussex county very heavy rain but heavy downpours from earlier have started to weaken. we have cleared it out down the shore and much of the south jersey. philadelphia we still have scattered showers, heaviest now heading up, to the poconos. a look at what we're seeing outside right now shows lightening at just a bit for north and west. we have a flood advisory for portions of pocono region with this heavy rain moving through right around the turnpike. lot doppler estimated rainfall totals in the 24 hours. as we zoom in the region you can see a few spots with that yellow and green shading, one to 2 inches have rain but in just two hours in southern delaware we had 2.27 inches of rain and over the course of the the day, some spots, checked in with over 5 inches. that is the area that remains

under a flash flood warning this evening. seaford, delaware reported 5.49 inches, a flash flood was reported there. that goes until 7:30 p.m. but everything is lighting up, showers and thunderstorms becoming more scattered through tonight, once they clear out we will have the temperatures going off to the races, with humidity to match. all of the details on the next surge of extreme heat coming up. >> all right, kate. we continue to follow breaking news now of a serious crash on martin luther king drive. three children were injured when two vehicles collided near the falls bridge. chopper three is live over that scene right now. we also know two other people were injured in the crash. the investigators say that the three children were rushed to hahnemann hospital but light now we do not know what their conditions are but we will continue to bring you update at we receive them. funerals begin for five dallas police officers killed in the line of duty. >> local officers are supporting their brothers in blue. new jersey state troopers made the journey to dallas to pay their respects to the fallen

to temporarily do the heart's job of pumping blood through the body. >> there are many people who we cannot get to recover from the heart attack but if we can keep them alive long enough while hearties recovering and that is that transition phase. this keeps the heart going while recovering. >> reporter: giant mobile lap was at st. mary's medical center for continuing staff training with life sized models and simulators. they got to practice with see through cardiovascular systems inserting the device through the groin and then threading tonight to the heart. >> it is a major opportunity. >> reporter: doctors, nurses, technicians are getting more advanced training with the what the f.d.a. expanding uses for the impala. >> it is hard work keeping blood circulating through the body this demonstrates just how powerful the little pump is, churning water inside beaker. up side the heart it keeps blood flowing for patients in critical condition. >> when they come in and they are blue and they do not have a whole lot of time here, and

week long search for an escaped new jersey inmate back in may cost taxpayers more than $180,000 in police overtime. >> also, he disappeared from the ancora unit a bay side state prison on may third. he was found may ninth off of the garden state parkway in ocean county. the state department of corrections, led the search for buckle and officials say they have accrued the majority of the overtime costs. lesean mccoy is in the clear, the nfl said it will not the discipline former philadelphia eagle for his role or alleged role in the nightclub brawl. these decisions come three months after district attorney seth williams said wow not charge the 28 year-old, running back, due to insufficient evidence. mccoy and three others were reportedly involved in a brawl against off-duty police officers inside recess nightclub in philadelphia, back in february. all right. well, switching gears to sports. >> yes, yes we're talking hoops now. you have to mold the roster when we talk about the sixers. >> you do. >> you have to mold the

todd clear out just a little bit, this evening, live look at our spring garden street camera looking toward broad street. it looks good right now. we have brightness in the skies. the not a fully sunny evening outside but better then it was a few hours ago. but as we go up to the poconos where heaviest rain is falling at the moment. this is broadheadsville looking very ominous, wind is blowing the trees there 74 degrees. humidity making it feel like 78. here's a snapshot of storm scan three we are seeing showers fizzle. we have light showers around the city but heaviest north of allentown right around the turnpike there up toward mount pocono where we have a few rumbles of thunder. biggest threat with these storms as it has been all take heavy rainfall leading to blinding conditions on the road and that is what we are seeing around the pocono region. we will clear it out tonight, you can see through this evening still a stray sure or storm but by 9:00 o'clock not much is out there. overnight maybe a stray spring will and that is it. tomorrow we will have cloud and sunshine, more sun through the afternoon and any

thunderstorm activity tomorrow afternoon will be widely scattered, isolated, don't expect to see much and same story on friday. big story for next few days will be the heat, lets talk about dew points. dew points in the 70's and that is where they will stay as we head in the day tomorrow we will see dew points in the low to mid 70's, that puts us in the oppressive range and worst of the heat will be mid afternoon tomorrow. take a look at this snapshot, 103 to 104 around 2:00 o'clock tomorrow afternoon. that is how it will feel, entire region, poconos, little break there but inland communities down the shore will be feeling like triple digits, sweltering heat tomorrow afternoon and excessive heat warning in effect at noon. heat index values 100 plus. the thursday will feel hot, temperatures will be about the same on friday, friday dew points in the mid 50's. hot but not as oppressive as tomorrow will be feeling. overnight we will drop to a low of seven 46789 warm, steamy, feels like outside right now what it will feel like tonight. extreme heat tomorrow with

double dutch group for all age whose gets together every wednesday, allbury park to take their turn on the rope. >> you can turn you can jump. >> reporter: it was started from these two friend since their days at girls high. they wanted to bring back school yard classic in a small group but it has turned into a community have of thousands. >> since we began, it is a conversation with one of my good friend and we were just talking about how we wanted to keep it and bring it back again. so we put up the facebook event. we were only five to ten people. our first event, attract over 2,000 people. >> our purpose is not only to empower a fun and also to build community. that is what we are doing. >> reporter: they are doing good, helped others feeling good. >> i have been teaching my daughter for last few months. she's been doing phenomenal. she's so excited.
