is so stifling all across the delaware valley. we are dealing with the extreme heat and humidity combined. we have a heat advisory for the entire delaware valley and runs until 8:00 this evening. excessive heat warning trumps that for philadelphia and surrounding counties in effect until 8:00 o'clock tomorrow evening as we have another dose of this intense heat and humidity in store for our friday. so definitely want to stay indoors, spend sometime in the ac, 94 degrees your current temperature in philadelphia even in the 90's down the shore. nineteen in wildwood. but that heat index when you factor in the humidity feels like triple digits in wildwood, same in philly feeling like 103. down right brutal in dover, delaware. we are dealing with extensive heat. high temperatures in the 90's with elevated humidity levels. feels like temperatures could be in the upper 90's to low 100s. so definitely take it easy again tomorrow, of course, remember are pets and check on your elderly neighbors.

for cbs-3 "eyewitness news". >> i fight my husband for 70, 80 would be amazing. now, almost two weeks since septa was forced to pull its entire fleet of silver liner five cars off the track but getting a closer look at what actually cause that had problem. during the tour today septa officials used red dye to highlight the a crack spotted by an inspector after he noticed a silver liner five was leaning. >> in that location, it is incredibly difficult to see when looking at a spot about the size of the business card through a tube, an arms length away looking for a small shiny crack. >> officials say that little crack is dangerous and could have led to a derailment. one thing that still remains a mystery though is how the crack developed in the first place. a man wanted for a murder in new castle county delaware has been arrested in new york city. u.s. marshals took five two-year old gregory parker in custody yesterday. he killed a man back in late

january in the 500 block have of north du pont highway in new castle. he allegedly fled and was track down after a tip to the marshall's fugitive task force. he is a it wag extradition back to delaware. meanwhile a gloucester county man is facing charges of animal cruelty tonight. police say three two-year old timothy kane killed two of his ex-girlfriend's kittens with a bow and arrow. it happened yesterday in greenwich township. kane's bail has been set the at $7,500. you can now text 911 for help in camden county. camden county communications center has been testing, texts to 911, but now services are live making it one of the first in new jersey to accept text messages. texting is important, if a person is unable to speak on the phone but also say that phone calls should still be, the call of choice. still to come on "eyewitness news" concert complaints. >> why a country music show in

excessive heat warning in effect for large portion of the area, in effect right now and doesn't expire until 8:00 o'clock tomorrow evening. philadelphia and surrounding count business heat index likely to push backup in the hundred degree range as we head into tomorrow afternoon. air temperatures just themselves are down right brutal. 93 degrees in allentown. forty-nine in reading. even down the shore temperatures are elevated as well, a cooler spot, barnegat light house at 80. we are in the 90's in cape may and stone harbor. mid 90's in rehoboth beach. then on top of the heat we have that humidity, dew points at 07-degree mark and above that just oppressive, type humidity and insufferable. we had dew point is a around 75 degrees in philadelphia. earlier in the day just brutal humidity. tomorrow we will have dew points in the upper 60's to near 70 degrees, not as brutal but still very humid. feels like temperatures up in the triple digits, and many reporting sites feeling like

103 in dover. overnight tonight, you know the deal, it is not opened window weather. 76 degrees. ac running, partly cloudy, hot, humid, mostly sunny, another round of extreme heat up to 94 degrees with the heat indexes likely rising in the 100-degree range for portion of the afternoon so heat safety, of course, stay out of direct sunlight, drink fluids, wear light weight wait clothing a void strenuous activity. afternoon jogs. bad idea. dog park in the avenue bad idea as well. hang out in cool places. head to the pool. storm scan three is showing us cooling conditions after severe storms rolled through northampton county bringing down trees and power lines but really no storms in the forecast for tomorrow. just another round of extreme heat all across the region and in the upcoming weekend not as bad but still hot and humid. ninety on saturday with isolated afternoon storms. it may be a few late the day storms on sunday to cool us off, 88 degrees, less humid.
