and grenades and the driver opened fire into the crowd thursday night leaving dozens of bodies strown along the roadway. hundreds people ran screaming in horror and racing for safety after the truck plowed through crowds for more than a pile before police shot the driver dead. in the aftermath personnel and camouflage carrying rifles stood guard around the stalling crime scene as paris anti terror police investigate. french president fran choice holland returned to paris from a visit to the south of france following the attack and immediately met with his crisis team. president obama condemned what he described as an apparent terror attack. u.s. intelligence officials tell cbs news, the incident appears to be deliberate. but say it's too early to tell who is involved. in the wake of a the tack the french president extended state of emergency in france by an additional three months. the tragedy weighed heavily on another bastille day celebrati

tomorrow. i will be traveling to chief land to cover the republican national convention you can look for my reports next week here on "eyewitness news". homeland security and the philadelphia police bomb squad are now investigating after someone sent a letter threate threatening to blow up the african-american museum during the democratic national convention. authorities say the museum received the bomb threat around 3:30 this afternoon and it's unclear at this point if the letter was sent electronically or through the mail. that investigation is on-going. with the democratic national convention quick al approaching hillary clinton is also working to finalize who she will choose to be her vice-presidential running mate. the presumptive democratic nominee campaigned virginia senator tim cane in his home state today. he's rumored to be on the short list of the vp finalists. clinton spoke at the nation's largest and oldest hispanic organization in washington. she warn them about her republican rifle. >> some of you might remember one of the conclusions was that republican had to work harder to appeal to latino voters.

it's going on two weeks since septa pulled one third of its regional rail fleet off the tracks and we're now getting a close up look what caused that problem. during a tour today, septa officials used red die to highlight a hairline crack spotted by alert inspector after he noticed silver liner five train cars was leaning. >> that location is incredibly difficult to see. i mean you're looking at a spot about the size of a business card through a tube an arm' length away looking for a small shiny crack. >> officials say that little crack was dangerous and could have led to derailment it's still not known what called

temperatures are still extremely warm at this hour. 84 in wilmington. 84 right now in millville and 81 in allentown also elevated those dew points when they climb up into the 70s and especially a low to mid 70s, we're talking florida like humidity values and as we head into the day tomorrow those dew points are going to be elevated and that's making it still feel so hot outside at this late hour feeling like none in millville. feeling like into in dover. wee take the comfort index at least down a notch. we won't be at the top of the scale as we were today. humidity levels will still be in the steamy to oppressive range throughout our day tomorrow. high temperatures will be cruising back up into the 90s. very briefly saw rain across parts of chester county also north hampton picking up a quarter of an inch in rainfall in nazareth with a severe thunderstorm that moved through. all is quiet on storm scan3. do have cluster of showers and what used to be some thunderstorms over the last couple of hours.
