an ice machine, right up against the building, well it, came crashing down yesterday, the debris now sits in a pile of rubble here in the parking lot. all that's left of the swiss silo are broken piece he is of wood, the 40-foot structure that stood here for decades shattered when strong winds and heavy rain blew through delaware county on monday. >> pretty devastating, after 40 years, kind of sad, now we have next 40 years with a new one. >> swiss farms, ceo, scott, pledges to rebuild the store's symbol. employees are just happy no one was hurt. the silo came down in the drive-thru lane when the store was open. >> all the sudden we just heard like this crackling noise. there was like nothing there. >> about mile away on miller lane near olympic avenue, the family feeling lucky as well, two trees came down and lit their home. erin inside with her baby. >> i could tell the win was picking up. so i went down the basement

with my seven month old and the dog and heard a big bang and some whistling winds but didn't think this was what i was going to walk out to. >> one of the trees fell on to the nursery exact spot the family stood before taking cover. >> thank god for cell phones, and found out everyone was okay. >> neighbors in awe of the storm's power, and left with a big clean up on their hands today, as utility crews work to restore power to the homes still left in the dark. back out here live at the swiss farms in havertown, we are told the damage here cost about $100,000, the store, how much, will reopen today. meantime, here in delaware county, peco says 20,000 households were without power at the height of the storm, and they now say the number around 2200, so progress is being made, and we have seen number of utility crews out and about this morning trying to get everybody back on line. for now, live in havertown, jan carabeo, cbs-3,

nominee. news back in the morning. see in you just about ten minutes. >> thank you, we will be watching. >> now is the time many of us are traveling for those summer vacations, we all after flying on long flight could feel fatigue. >> could jet lag feel worse when headed east? doctor rob danoff is here with more on a study on how he can give us some advice to feel more replentish after trip. >> good morning. >> doctor rob, what did this study look at? >> it is interesting. we traveled so far and so fast. so it look like what happens when you cross time zones and the effect on our internal clock, our security ribbon, we found out normally working on 24 and a half hour day, not 24. so, going east to west, we do better with that. but going west to east, we have more likely to get jet lag. >> is it common in most people when they're doing traveling? >> it is, and specially those over 06, pilots, attendants, flight attendant, frequent flyers. they often are more subject to

jet lag, especially going west to east. and when you cross more than two time zones. >> how do you know you're experiencing these symptoms? >> it is almost like a shift worker. you might get irritable, a lot of cuss get that way, but fatigue, trouble sleeping, queezy stomach, trouble concentrating, and normally jet lag will occur about one to two days after arrival at your new destination. >> so what are some things that folks can, the average traveler, to combat the jet lag? >> lot of stud fist you're able to sleep on a plane, i don't know if you can, hard, but they're saying take the red eye if you are going from west to east, because this way you eat dinner, you get ready, wear comfortable clothes and you sleep and you wake up, but don't drink alcohol if you can on a principal. >> i used to be flight attendant for eight years, and that was the kiss of death. if you would get off that plane and you would be not only intoxicated but there goes your first day in europe. >> it does. you know what happens, one drink on the plane because of high altitude is equivalent to

two, three, on ground. also, you get dehydrated because the cabin is dry, want to drink water throughout try to walk around. try to decrease salty foods, you know, salty pretzels, try to avoid them, especially for the dehydration. >> take ago road trip in the car, how important is it, i wonder, to move around? >> brooke, you're so right, very important f we sleep for more than an hour at a time some people get swelling of the leg, we get concerned about blood clots, make sure you're breathing correctly, so every hour if you can try to stretch or maybe walk in the aisle. you know, not always easy but move your feet up and down, stretch your calf muscles, take some good deep belly breath. a loft times sitting, there not breathing correctly. that's very important for our bodies, and always look at dogs and cats, they stretch all the time. so in the seat, get up, stretch a little bit, you know, gout to be careful how do you, that but very important specially your legs and your feet, move them around, wack every hour if you can. and stay hydrated.

>> even if you are not flying on vacation, though, a lot of people adjust their schedules on vacation, may sleep in little bit more, you really need to casino of get back to sing in order order to get back to work. >> good point. a lot of times people say about two days prior to you finish vacation try to get back to your sleep-wake cycle, normal eating cycle and just book that, monday morning rush. >> i don't think we'll ever get that, i just constantly feel like i'm flying to europe on this shift. >> we'll be right back with three things you need to know before go. >> it is three to go next.
