"eyewitness news" reporter just continue finch is live with the very latest, justin what can you tell us. >> reporter: this young man's life cut short near feet from his front door ambush by two masked men who shot him down in cold blood in front of his friend. sound just in the 3200 block of viola street, victim a 22 year old man was left lying in the streets suffering from gunshots to the head.

police on patrol heard those shots and arrived to find the victim month. man friend told investigators a victim park on the sidewalk and then, waited for his home in a few minutes. when he came back out he was chased by two armed men wearing white t-shirts and ski masks who ran of from a next door lot. they fired at him before he collapsed on to the the street just a few steps a way, police say that the shooter, stood over their body and fired more shots. >> from that information that this event, was in fact, the intended target but what they are tribe as just two males, both wearing ski masks, both wearing t-shirts, and they were last seen, in a vacant lot southbound in the the 3200 block of the street. >> reporter: and that is as police search for those two suspects loved ones are gathering at his home, nearby, those witnesses are speaking with homicide detective as well, now sadly the man

pronounced his victim dead just a few steps to walk to a firehouse at viola and belmont. we are live from park side, justin finch for cbs-3 "eyewitness news". brooke and jim, back to you. and another shooting in olney leaves a man in life support this morning. it happened on the back deck of the man's home in the 15 hup block of west chew avenue. police say gunman used a semiautomatic weapon to fire one shot from close range. man was shot in the face and rush to einstein just blocks a way. police say shooting may have been spark by a prior argument involving a female no a rests have been made. also this morning a man is in custody after police found fire works and improvised explosive devices in his minivan. police pulled the man over in germantown at 9:00 near 20th and champlost. a 31 year old driver and two, three-year old were inside. officers then discovered the explosive and fire works. it is in the clear what the driver was planning to to with them.
