>> earlier in the evening, donald trump junior cast final votes his father needed to clinch the nomination, 89 for the state of new york. trump will formally accept the nomination tomorrow night. dom giordano from 1210 wpht is at the convention. we will talk to him live from cleveland at 6:50 right here on "eyewitness news". once the republicans leave cleveland democrats will make philadelphia the center of attention. last minute preps are underway at the wells fargo center which host the convention starting on monday. a clean up job is going on in many parts of the city. under i-95 crews are sprucing up this skate park that has become an illegal dump. >> we think we are going through the area just to beautify the area for the dnc and we just say please stop dumping down here and we can have it looking nice for dnc. >> philadelphia homeless are worried about finding another place. two men told "eyewitness news" the city has informed them the convention center and other

campsite will be off limit during the convention. police call it a disturbing discovery, just ahead of the dnc in philadelphia, they say the officers pulled over a minivan in germantown and discovered two improvised explosive devices and fire works inside. it happened at 20th and champlost around 9:00 last night as a 31 year-old driver and two, three years olds were inside the minivan. >> of the two improvised devices had the strength equivalent to about a quarter stick of dynamite which is, pretty powerful. so depending on how close devices were to explode, near people, they could cause i'm sure serious injury, possibly even death depending on how close in proximity the people are. >> that is a concern. police say it is in the clear what the driver was going to do with the fire works and ied's, he was arrested and is facing charges. time right now is 5:36. in business news this morning, how cloud computing is paying off for microsoft.

lady gaga and her fiance taylor kenney are taking a break. they have been together for five years. kenney a lancaster native proposed to gaga last valentines day but last week she was seen vacationing without her heart shaped rock. overnight gaga took to instagram with the message for her fans. she shared this picture of the couple and says quote, taylor and i have always believed we are soul mates, just like a couple, we have ups and downs, and we have been taking a break.

vineland, mark in chatsworth 61 degrees. shower through ocean city new jersey area right now and head down toward middletown delaware with jason milder there coming in at 69. he is happy about today's nice weather, and again, kutztown looking good, 61 degrees, east/north east wind at 1 mile an hour. there is clear skies, one shower, exiting our region right now, severe thunderstorm very early in salem county. we are dominated by high pressure. dry stretch, of weather continues. great beach day. we are waking up, little bit of cloud but we will see increasing sunshine 81 today. tomorrow lower 80's. then hot gannon friday. back in the upper 80's a for shore, inland in the 90's. we have high pressure over us, came in from canada, that is, in the cooler, dryer air that is over us for next few days. that blocks storms from developing. we will see warm front pushing through on friday, that brings in some heat and humidity, maybe a late day shower or storm on friday.

liberty museum to tell us more about this, pat. >> yes, good morning, jim and brooke. as dnc opens up here next week in philadelphia, it is time to learn something about our political history. it is the perfect city to do it. this is the perfect place to do it, it is national liberty museum, at third and chestnut, look, anyone can google anything, anybody can go to wikipedia but you want to see these things with your eyes and here's perfect place to do it. national liberty museum is one of the seven places in the city of philadelphia that is part of the political fest. to tell us more about that this man is kevin, the vp of programs here at national liberty museum. good morning. >> welcome to the the museum. >> i appreciate that, thanks for letting us in so early. tell us before the cool artifacts here about the building itself. >> sure, we opened up in 2,000 and we are smack dab in the middle of philadelphia's liberty trail steps from the liberty bell. ours is a museum where we invite our visitors to find their story in liberty and as

part of their experience here, in the museum they have an opportunity to see several exhibits that are part of the dnc political fest. however, we do have a collection of white house china that has been on displays just behind us here. very elaborate display, very much so. we have a cross section of our president's white house collection here on display. >> we've got kennedy, carter, you are telling me though a little bit about nancy reagan and what she did with some is of the white house china yes, she did her thing, if you will with the white house china of making a change to the white house china collection particularly under reagans, what is neat, cool about white house chine itself is each piece is a reflection of the american president and that presidency, from kennedy, and, place setting and to the american eagle, and a lot of the settings. >> that fine irish man.
