"eyewitness news" reporter justin finch joins us live from the scene where an investigation continues this morning. good morning, justin. >> reporter: jim, brooke, good morning. two killers were on the loose this morning after police say they shot and killed a man in cold blood just feet away from his front door. lets take you now to video from overnight, police are saying that the shots rang out at 2:00 o'clock this morning on the 4200 block of viola street. victim is a 22-year old man was left lying on the streets suffering from at least two gunshots to his head. sixteenth district officers heard those shots and they arrived to find the victim a women friend now a witness told up investigators that the victim parked his black car on the sidewalk and went inside his own house for a few minutes when he came back out she was outside and watching, in panic as he was chased by two ski mask wearing men in white t-shirts to ran over from a next door lot, firing as many as five to six shots at the victim. he collapsed on to the street

a few steps away and then police say was shooter stood over his body and fired more shots before escaping, police say help arrived as soon as it could. >> it is unusual about this shooting in the 4200 block of viola is a fire station, active fire station, matter of fact, medics, from that fire station came to the scene, just feet away, and were able to pronounce this victim dead on the scene. now police remaining on viola street this morning as loved ones gather at victim's house, medics came over from engine 16 which is located at viola and belmont. police are looking for two suspects, last seen wearing ski masks running south from viola street, police believe they likely used revolvers to carry out shooting here and because there are no cameras in the area they are relying on tips from the public to find these few men. we are live at park side

garden township. huge bails of hey are still smoldering as fire fighters continue to pour water on the fire, this has been going on since 1:30 this morning. fortunately good news is no injuries have been reported. in california a brush fire is burning dangerously close to the famous hollywood sign. fire fighters are battling the flames in the ground and from the air. no homes or buildings are affected and no one has been hurt but right now 4 acres have been charred. it is interesting that the humidity in, some of these dry areas could help, the fires? it is like, you know, one thing good. >> is that the case, justin. >> they have had monsoon season going too and that is reversal in the wind. so they will get storms. so hopefully that could help things. we will wait and seen. for us we're on the dry side. we haven't had any big storms over the past several weeks but not drought status but we could use some rain. not much in the forecast.

funeral services will be private for legendary director garry marshall. >> the bronx native died yesterday from complications of pneumonia following a stroke. marshall is known for his decades in tv ape film credit hits like happy days, le vern and shirley and press would i man. most recently he was involved with the cbs show odd couple. he is survived of his wife of 53 years and his family including his sister penny marshall. family is planning a memorial for marshall on his birthday, and he was 81 years old. very talented man. hollywood is remembering marshall. henry winkler who played the fonze said rest in peace, thank you for my professional life. thank you you for your loyalty, friendship, and generosity. and ron howard who played richie cunningham on happy days tweeted rip gary marshall. he was inspiring. he was a world class boss and mentor whose creativity and leadership meant a ton to me.

fbi is staying tight-lipped about any possible evidence, investigators found while searching the bay in ocean city. divers spend hours yesterday in the water near fishing pier off route 52 causeway. we're told search is tied to a criminal investigation in philadelphia, but authorities will not confirm what they are looking for. now ocean city officials say the investigation is not due to any public safety threat. bill cosby is now completely brian and confined to his home, according to new york newspaper reporters. they reported in the new york post saying cosby suffered from an eye disease for several years. cosby is now 79 ape faces child on sex assault charges in the alleged assault on the former temple university employee back in 2004. more than 50 women have accused cosby of sexual misconduct. big scare for los angeles angels but it appears all is well that end well.

jan carabao joins us with the success. >> reporter: she's a great lady, in lisa is leaving for tuscan think friday and she will teach there for two weeks and, get that, it is her second trip after people in that country heard about her cookbook on line. before lisa and her family creating this book wasn't about the recipes at all. >> gnocchi. >> reporter: there isn't a daze you won't find lisa in her newtown square kitchen. on this day she's trying to teach novice who is admitly ruining it. >> why isn't mine rolling like yours. >> gnocchi is one of the 206 recipes in lisa's cookbook, but she brings the italian country side to the delaware valley. >> lisa has done that with food since she was a child, cooking for her family in the

italy. >> i make everything. >> reporter: but she never knew she would create a cookbook, but it wasn't her idea at all. >> she was in a deep depression. she had closed her eyes and said i'm ready just take me. >> reporter: lisa's a husband of 56 years died suddenly on 2013, christmas eve, her son frank, remembers seeing lisa's joy of cooking slip away too. >> that was one thing we realized when something was seriously wrong. she had stop cooking. one day i came a cross her scribbles of the if you want to call them recipes. >> reporter: he turned to kick starter with the goal of raising enough money to develop recipes in the a book. >> couple days later we had a few thousand dollars. couple days later $27,000. >> reporter: realizing a publisher was too expensive, frank got family friend to take the pictures and added text. new less than a year after its release the book has sold
